Just visited, didn't know what to expect as I hadn't made the booking. Gabriella served us excellently, steaks were the best ever, and she ensured we had all we needed without being overbearing. Definitely recommend this place, will be back next time I'm in Lincoln

We had our birthday dinner celebrated here few weeks back . Not very much options in menu but food was tasty. The customer service was good initially but finally when it came to Billing we did tell him multiple times we are going dutch as we were two couple, but he split the bill in equal half even after saying multiple times also we were charged with service tax . Since he was rushing we payed and took bill for us to clear between us , once we left the shop while reading bill we realised in the end it's written service tax only taken for people 5 and above , but still he charged us even though wevwere only 4 people. We felt we were fooled. While having dinner we were planning to return here with our family in future, but now I don't think I will choose this restaurant again. Felt highly disappointed

We visited The Bronze Pig with friends and can honestly say it was a fantastic experience. The service was excellent and all the food and wine was amazing, delicious food presented beautifully. We will definitely return.

Uncomfortable restaurant. Everyone can hear each other, and we could even hear what the cook was saying throughout dinner. Overpriced for the quality of the food, with not many options either. Steak was over cooked, chips were soggy. It was like a pub food not a fine dinning.

An incredible dining experience in a great setting. Steaks were cooked to perfection and quite possibly one of the best steaks I’ve tasted. Starters, and side dishes were fantastic and the service from Pompeo was brilliant.

Amazing place, fantastic location.

We had the most wonderful evening. We had the tasting menu. The host was so welcoming and knowledgeable and really fun to talk to. Thank you for making it 16th wedding anniversary special. We can't wait to come again for the next tasting menu!

Took my mum to this great restaurant we had the new addition to their menu, High-Tea. The sandwiches were exquisite and beautifully presented, the desserts were lovely,we had a Bellini to start along with copious cups of tea. Had a lovely chat with the owner at the end of the meal, a very lovely experience set in the Uphill, historic part of The City of Lincoln.

Wow - what an experience, The food & customer & customer care were both exceptional. We went for the tasting menu & would recommend it. I was also very touch that as I had sited a few "eating issues" I am currently having to deal with the owner phoned the night before to ensure all would be OK. Christmas Day treat, no it was not. For the first time in 30 years we decided to treat ourselves and elderly Dad to being pampered for Christmas dinner. The price was higher than other places so think that will translate to a better experience. It did not. The restaurant has no festive decorations or even a hint to Christmas Day, perhaps I could overlooked that if the food and service had been amazing. The food was a joke! The starters were had was prawn cocktail in which the prawns were bizarrely warm in a cold sauce, the pate and toast was a one bite wonder! The main course the chicken wrapped in pancetta was burnt and dry and the roast potatoes anaemic and not crispy, the greens were so undercooked. Dessert I have the cheese board and there were items that should have been there that weren’t, no plum bread, no frozen grapes and no pickled walnuts! No I didn’t complain on the day as it was Christmas and didn’t want to create a situation in the restaurant. I did later though and the owner said I must have been mistaken as all the ingredients were on my cheese board as he remembers seeing them and that the prawns should be warm in a rose Marie sauce. A long narrative I know but this is an expensive mistake so make your own minds up. If I could have given zero I would have. ,

Ignore the bad reviews, try it for yourself! AMAZING Taster night! Service amazing and informative, had some great Banter with the owner, loved it! 2 of our group did the wine flight,but myself and the hubster ordered a bottle of white and red. Was so happy when the Sauvignon came, as it was from a vineyard we visited in South Africe 4 yrs ago, and made it that bit more special! The Menu was personalised, and the whole evening was perfect. Will definitely be back!

Bland food. We came here on a Sunday lunch. We initially ordered 3 courses but 2 in and we couldn't face the third so cancelled it. The starter was bland, very little taste. We both ordered a pork roast for our main. This came out and wasn't roast pork. It was two cold pork steaks which were cheap and nasty. The roast potatoes were partially uncooked and hard and overall it was tasteless. We wanted something a little special than the average and thought we'd be in safe hands with the bronze pig. Unfortunately they've let their standards slip with cheap poor food. The waitor was working alone so didn't check back. We cancelled our desert and paid up vowing never to return. Drink was warm too. Only positive was the waiter was pleasant.

Booked this as a graduation meal, months before the event thinking it would be fully booked... walked in and it was empty (first red flag) We were seated at a table and the chairs were wobbly and the decor is very dated. We were then given the menu, which we believed to be a sample menu when viewed online as there were so few options (second red flag) was disappointed to learn that this was the full menu with no specials board. Ordered drinks, whilst waiter was getting them, we decided to leave (which we never do) and go home for a takeaway instead. To sum up, no atmosphere, awful decor and lack of options. Won't be back.

We arrived in Lincoln late, about 8:45pm, and restaurant closed at 9pm. They were only too happy to accomodate, and leave late. Giovanni, the friendly and loveable host, and the kitchen were absolutely amazing and served us one of the top 10 meals I've ever had. The flavour combinations and ingredients were heavenly. Giovanni and the kitchen let us sample their Blueberry Blondies, which were gorgeous. The wine and meal was amazing, all done at the very end of the night/shift for them. For starters we had the Salt Beef Reuben, beautiful flavours. I had the Beef, which was perfectly cooked and melted in your mouth, my wife had the vegetable terrine, amazing and we finished with the generous cheese board. Amazing food, lovely space and so convenient to the big attractions. HIGHLY recommend!

Absolutely wonderful in fact exceptional!! This little beauty is one we have never tried and would recommend this restaurant to everyone, lived in Lincoln all our lives and have always wanted to try but never got round to it but so pleased we have now got the chance and will definitely be going back, service was outstanding and the food was delicious, worth every penny! Quite disappointed with food ! Wasn’t expecting it to be this average compared to some reviews I’d read! Was supposed to be the highlight of our weekend but ended up the worst meal of our visit to Lincoln . We had Sunday lunch and the first impression was the head waiter stood outside on his vape at the entrance! On the window was stickers for old Michelin star ratings but they were from a while ago but we hoped the food was still of similar standards but alas no! We ordered the lunch of beef which was cooked pink which looked promising, the 1/2 carrot and broccoli and 1/2 parsnip were all far too undercooked and hard. The kale was tough and roast potatoes were very poor and looked old and soggy, as a chef myself I know reheated potatoes!!! Must say the Yorkshire pudding was delicious and very fresh and crispy, but sadly the meal lacked lustre . With the wine also overpriced at £14 a glass all in all it was a disappointment.

Oh where do we start … First impression was seeing the maitre d’ puffing on vape outside front door of restaurant. Oh dear. He walked in ahead of us and then we were seated. No hand washing. Had the roast beef - meat cooked nicely although not much flavour. Vegetables awful - undercooked and hard. Not Al dente - hard. Roast potatoes were terrible - looked and tasted old. Veg also sweet with honey which spoilt meal. Yorkshire pud and gravy nice. Wine expensive at £14 for large glass Malbec. Decor fine - clean & fairly spacious. Would not return or recommend.

Was so looking forward to an exceptional meal but that wasn’t what we received Knowing that this was Michelin starred quality we were of high expectations food was mediocre the best part of the meal was the salt beef starter . Having been to a couple of Michelin starred restaurants I was very disappointed . Service was poor as we had to ask for extra drinks and dessert menus then again asking for the bill when waiters were chatting Expensive average meal that we expected to be a real treat ( sad) This was a very special wedding anniversary that was very dissappointing

We have just had the taster menu here and it was amazing. The food was beautiful and the staff were so friendly. They explained what eaxh dish was and paired it with beautiful wines. We will definately be visiting again. Thank you for a lovely evening x

The restaurant is bright, bold and tasteful. Everything looks well placed and well thought out. Glassware and cutlery were wonderfully laid and not a blemish on them. We opted for the tasting menu and we were presented with our own personal menu which we thought was a nice touch. Our menu consisted of a courgette risotto, followed by beef Reuben, then a red mullet. A brief pause with a pallet cleanser. Then we had a belly pork with artichoke and it was absolutely outstanding! Just perfect. Then to finish we had a chocolate and banana finish which was like a deconstructed cheesecake with deep, rich flavour. There was optional petite fours and coffee but we had our fill. The host was very accommodating and told us of the dishes construction. We didn’t have the wines that accompanied the dishes but we heard each wines origin from other diners around us and it goes to show that the restaurant is really passionate about what they produce and where the wines and ingredients are sourced. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. We had a wonderful evening and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys fine dining. Dress code is smart casual. Thank you to The Bronze Pig for a wonderful evening! We enjoyed every aspect and appreciated your acute attention to detail!

Friendly service 3 course set lunch menu was nicely done and presented very well. Cocktails well made , with plenty of choice . Food was fresh and cooked very well , with quality produce and meats . Cheese board was excellent .

A decidedly average eating experience. Drinks arrived alongside the starters… sushi started was badly plated and bland. Salmon in main course was very well cooked but the rest of the plate was bland…. Lovely decor. I would say if you want a lovely surrounding definitely go….

A hard review to write …. Was the food nice yes …. Was the service good….. ish … often slow…. Staff attentive in the wrong way, never noticed if low on drinks, never offers a bottle of water.. had to be prompted, wine arrived after food … I think when a restaurant charges absolute top dollar you should get to dollar service. We didn’t . Pleasant evening, no desire to return

We had dinner on a Wednesday evening. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful. We had a lovely conversation with him about the name of the restaurant, The Bronze Pig, partly to do with the bronze boar located in the market in Firenze in Italy, one of the highlights of the evening. Our meal was impeccably presented including the starters, main course and dessert. As we had the lamb and the beef we had an excellent bottle of Malbec to accompany the meal. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked and seasoned. I was surprised that more people were not dining as we were one of two groups. If we resided in Lincoln we would without a doubt be frequent diners here. We mentioned that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and it was only after we left that we realised we had been given our desserts on the house, so thank you, that is much appreciated.
