Late at the Lawn in Lincoln

We visited late at the lawns for a birthday celebration. We were recommended by a friend . The evening was a great success. The food and service were first class. Including a birthday cake for the birthday girl. Highly recommended.

The standout for me was the excellent and friendly service. We all chose the small plates, two each, hoping to save some room for desert but alas we were too full. We enjoyed our chosen dishes and would happily return.

What a fabulous venue for an informal evening dining experience, siting in view of the historic castle walls of Lincoln. We had a lovely meal consisting of a wide choice of tapas dishes accompanied by a selection of wines and cocktails. We were staying over in our motorhome and were made to feel very welcome indeed. The manager was very attentive with a good sense of humour. We enjoyed the experience so much we visited for breakfast the following morning as the venue is a Stokes Coffee House during the day.

A wonderful evening at your restaurant with great choices of food, especially liked the small plates idea ☺️. Ewan was our waiter and he was efficient, helpful and super polite 😊. Well done to ‘Late at The Lawn’ thank you for a superb evening ☺️

A wonderful location, with an incredible comfortable restaurant. The light is soft, the food sublime and the atmosphere perfect for every occasion. The table is yours for the whole evening; the menu is familiar, but interesting - welcomed by our teenage children and enjoyed by my partner and I. In short, a hidden gem in the heart of Lincoln - a must for coupes, friends, families and every special occasion.

A cozy venue with tasty food and very friendly and attentive staff. Definitely worth a trip if you're in Lincoln and want a great experience.

Walked in without booking as we were staying nearby for a weekend away in beautiful Lincoln city. This place transforms at night. We have visited in the past for breakfast (daytime) but this was amazing! Beautifully presented small plates, so delicious! The cocktails are amazing and it’s so nice to have the chef to come out and speak with you!! Will definitely recommend and visit again when we are back in the area. Well done Stokes

Amazing food, amazing staff and lovely cocktails. Great atmosphere and a brill selection of small plates at good value. Recommend the black garlic mayo! Compliments to the chef. Happy hour is a bonus!

We found this spot by accident while visiting Lincoln. What a place! It may be a cafe in the daytime but it completely transforms in the evening to a beautiful cocktail bar. We had such a lovely warm welcome from Sid and all the team seemed friendly and very efficient. Cocktails were divine and even better 2for1 during happy hour 6-7pm. We had 3 sharing plates between 2 (calamari, arancini, sea bass) plus a burger to share. Plus 2 desserts. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. What impressed us so much was the attention to detail that Sid had when it came to the food. When discovering my husband was Muslim he arranged a different appetiser to be sent out, made sure we knew which meats were halal and without us asking made sure there was no bacon in the burger. He told us all about the history of this family business and is truly passionate about the company. If I were his employer I would be immensely proud of the fantastic job he's doing! Although it was a little more expensive than we'd usually pay for a meal out, we'll 100% visit again next time we're in Lincoln. The welcome, food, drinks, atmosphere, all boxes are ticked and we felt very valued as customers. Please give it a go, you won't be disappointed!

Thanks for looking after us on Saturday evening. Our initial intention was to sample the Happy Hour cocktails and eat elsewhere but after seeing the food options decided to stay. The food was delicious, the staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome (thanks Sid & the bar staff) and great ambience. Also where else do you get to speak to the Head Chef! Well worth visiting!

We were a little apprehensive when a friend told us she had booked what we knew was a cafe location for a night out but wow ….. The transformation from daytime cafe to night time cocktail bar is amazing. We had the little plates 9 between 4 of us ( plus Bread and hummus) and we couldn’t finish it, the standard of food was outstanding Cocktails amazing and good price and good wine list, Service fantastic, we will definitely return , loved it xx

Really lovely evening here and I can't wait to go back. The atmosphere was great, nice chilled music, very friendly and welcoming. Cocktails were great. Food is absolutely wonderful. As a group of 4 friends we shared a selection of small plates, all were delicious and I would say way above Lincolns average standard. Chef came and checked in on us a couple of times to see that all was well. Waiting staff also very attentive. High recommend a visit for groups of friends, or perfect for a cosy date night too!

Friendly and warm welcome. Great start to the evening if you get there around 6pm as it’s happy hour on cocktails (2 for 1). We had Long Island Iced Tea and Pornstar Martinis. We were presented with a small plate of 2 Bellinis with smoked salmon paste & sweet chilli sauce, courtesy of the restaurant. Lovely starters - we had the olives and hummus with pitta bread. Mains - cubed halloumi cheese with sweet chilli dipping sauce, fishcakes, beef teriyaki risotto, sea bass, and sides - Jenga fries and Tomato salad with shallots in balsamic vinegar dressing. Absolutely delicious. For us, the best dish was the beef teriyaki risotto. Would highly recommend.

The food and the drinks were great, happy hour on cocktails too which was a bonus! The arancini was our favourite, I would 10/10 recommend. Holli, our server was lovely, super friendly and made our experience that much better. Thanks so much, we’ll be back :) Also dog friendly !!

I visited here in the first evening it was open. The food was amazing. Atmosphere was really lovely. The staff were very well organised and nothing was to much trouble. An absolutely memorable evening. Highly recommended. Defiantly we will be back.

Me and my partner visited on Friday, we loved the drinks (especially the Peelies Long Island) & the food was brilliant. Service was perfect. Can't wait to come back!
