The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Wales

We popped into the Riverside Cantonese Chinese Restaurant recently for Sunday lunch and had a really enjoyable meal. The Staff were, as always, really friendly. We had King Prawns with Salt and Chilli and the Won Ton Soup to start followed by the King Prawns Szechuan, Cod with Crab Meat Sauce and a Spicy Vegetable Vercimilli Noodles. Nothing went to waste. The selection of Beers and wines is also very impressive. We can't recommend Riverside Cantonese enough.

Two night stay just for a bit of a change of scenery. Having looked at reviews I was a bit apprehensive but honestly, it's not that bad. The restaurant is no longer operating. Not an issue when there's plenty of places to eat nearby. The room could probably do with refreshing but they were clean, the bed was comfortable and clean, the breakfast was a good size and exactly as requested (by form the previous night!) and yes, the window open means you hear a bit of traffic noise and the local sheep having a conversation in the morning. If you're looking for a simple base to stay and get a good breakfast, this is fine. If you're wanting five star accommodation then look elsewhere.

This takeaway really was the worse we have ever had even the chips had to be thrown in the bin. Ribs completely over cooked and thrown away also. Generally the portion sizes were for a single person they really were that small and on the whole it was quite expensive. We tried it previously and thought we would give it a second chance but we will look elsewhere next time.

The best Chinese food we've had for a long time. Good vegetarian choices alongside the meat and fish dishes all well cooked and delicious. Good size portions too meaning a main dish with rice is good for dinner and lunch the next day. We'll definitely be back.

Went to Sai Wu for dinner, and once again it did not disappoint. Some previous reviews had worried me, but our experience was superb from start to finish. As always, Sai Wu offers not just the standard Chinese takeaway menus that you can find everywhere. We absolutely enjoyed the Firecracker fried rice and the Honey and Ginger Prawns! Another one that we couldn't find in any other Chinese restaurant is the Chicken in Garlic & Basil which tasted amazing. We also ordered the Special Chow Mein, Salt and Pepper chicken, and Crispy Chilli Beef. Everything was just bursting in flavour. Very good food and attentive service made for an enjoyable evening. We'll definitely come back again.

Ordered and paid for a delivery by card I was then told they did not deliver to Upper boat and that they would refund me. My problem with this was that the refund would take a few days to go back into my account I explained to the young lady on the phone that I couldn't order another takeaway from somewhere else as I didn't have enough money in my account to cover it and could they please on this occasion go the extra mile and make an exception and deliver it to me. The manager refused so my kids and I are skint and very hungry diabolical customer service and empathy

Excellent food and excellent service. It's probably one of the best takeaways I have had, and I can definitely recommend it.

What a gloopy slop. We are 6 adults and chose sweet and sour chicken, chicken chow mein, chicken sweetcorn soup ( so sugary sweet) char Sui with fried rice, special Fried rice and more. One of the worst Chinese takeaways we have ever had. Will never go there again. Not one dish tasted good. I really cannot recommend the Talent House. Go to the nearby coop or Tesco store and buy something to heat up at home. It will be better. Oh yes and no matter how hard I try I can’t say anything positive about the staff. Give this place a miss.

I had duck chow mein. There was hardly any duck, just a few pieces, loads of thin noodles and beansprouts hardly any flavour. The lid of the banana 🍌 fritters had 2 holes in. Any all the syrup had leaked out

I can’t express enough how good this place is, it’s become quite a nice treat to look forward to as every single time the food is perfection and sooo tasty, the portion sizes are fantastic and the value for money is great! The staff are very friendly also! I should also mention we always phone and order and then pick it up in person, they let you know roughly what time to pick it up and it’s usually only in 15/2mins time and it’s always ready when we get there! Would 100%recommend

Great Chinese, wide range of good quality food from fish and chips to real traditional Chinese dishes. Lovely family run business 👌

Food was delicious, the meat was particularly tender, sauce was thick and rich plus the portions were generous everything about the food and service was perfect!

Very poor quality food, the chips were soaked in grease where the oil must be filthy! One of the chicken balls Was pink inside where it hadn't been cooked properly..the batter was soft and greasy and thr curry was tasteless. The girl who served me and who took the order on the phone had no patience and was quite rude and appeared to be fed up and miserable.. will never go here again over priced and terrible food.

Lovely tasty food! Ordered over the phone and was ready in 20 mins. The Duck and pancakes was a firm favourite! Would be fab if they delivered
