Tasty Cafe in Pembrokeshire

Just had a delivery whilst in holiday to Kiln Park. Driver rings when on way to meet at gate. Very quick. It was the nicest chinese ive had in a long time. Will be back !

We ordered a takeaway whilst staying in Tenby on a midweek break. The food arrived in no time at all (for a delivery charge of only £1.80!) and was one of the best Chinese takeaways any of us had ever tasted. Would highly recommend...

Very poor service ordered food for £38 and it took over two hours to get to me when I rang after 1.30hr they haven’t even started cooking it. It’s a shame really as the food is normally good. Staff rude your on the phone then they put it down and serve other people mid conversation. Absolute joke. I think sadly going to be last time having food from this place.

Tried the chow main dishes they were tasty with brilliant potion sizes.

Can't fault the food, can't fault the service, after all it's a takeaway. Mad busy, super popular...never judge a book by its cover...reminds me of a girl friend I had??

If it had been in the summer to order food we would have got a delivery. But seeing as us locals have to put up with little visitor numbers. We can’t get a late takeaway in the winter. Shame on you

Ordered a Chinese from here whilst on holiday. Phone Order for delivery and the food was here within the hour. Good portion sizes and the food itself was nice. Definitely recommend.

Great take away food - huge portion sizes, everything was hot and tasted freshly cooked. Quite a few vegetarian options which was nice.

In desperate need of a makeover, which is such a shame as the Food is excellent, with big portion sizes...

Staying at Haven, Kiln Park September 2023. Called The Tasty Cafe in advance to check if they would deliver to Haven, they confirmed they were not allowed on site but could meet us at the entrance . We agreed to meet at a specified time in the petrol station adjacent to the entrance. They called a few minutes before the agreed time to confirm how long it would take us (a minute by car, 5 minutes walking). The delivery guy was waiting with our order and super friendly too! The food was absolutely delicious, the portions were large, the food hot and oh so tasty. The delivery itself added just a couple of pounds to the total bill. We plan to order again before the end of our holiday. Highly recommended 👌

We as a family have Chinese take away all over the country. we ordered all our favourite dishes. It was all edible to be fair. But nobody was really enjoying anything, even trying each others, which just never happens with us anywhere.

Fantastic food and quick service. Time from ordering to collecting was 10 minutes. It was freshly cooked and good portions of food.

Not very often I eat Chinese hence the salt So, we ordered to be delivered from this takeaway, Chicken Chow mein, Beef chow mein, curry sauce, and Chicken skewers with separate satay sauce. The chicken skewers(4 to be precise) came with red and green peppers, onions, and pineapple. And egg fried rice and prawn crackers. We had it delivered and was told 45 minutes It took around half an hour. The food was very nice, the chicken wasn't the big slimy chunks that im used to back in my home town and the beef look ok. Didnt, taste the beef though. The only gripe I had was the chicken skewers were extremely salty. I know Chinese food is renowned for it but this took the biscuit. I had to chug down water for the rest of the night Oh my poor kidneys. This is why I'm giving the food 4 stars instead of 5. Very tasty and so much of it to share just a shame about the salt although i would go again and try something else.

This place gets a thumbs up from us, on holiday in Tenby & never been before so ordering a takeaway is a bit of a roulette, what can i say the food came in about 30 minutes & was nice and hot & of a good quality & to our liking 👍 would definitely buy from Tasty Cafe again & recommend to others. We ordered Beef Chowmein, Chicken Chowmein, Chicken Satay skewers, Fried rice, Curry sauce & Prawn crackers. There is enough food to save some til after you've had a couple of beers which is what I have done 😉

Really nice meal. Looks a bit run down, but didn't reflect in the taste of the food. Really helpful guy on the till.

This is a good old fashioned, old school Chinese takeaway. The dishes aren't fancy and "authentic", but they are tasty, well cooked, plentiful, and decent value. Call up to order and collect was quick and efficient.

I gave 3 stars, but 1 of the stars was basically in appreciation for being open given the difficulty of maintaining a sustainable business when demand has such high peaks and such low dips due to Tenby being a small tourist seaside town. If you like a very British Chinese then you'll be very happy to have food from here. If you are used to a more authentic style of Chinese food from a restaurant where you actually see Chinese people eating too then this isn't the take away for you. All about expectations.

Never once had a bad meal from these guys. Absolutely amazing quality of food, and the prawns are massive.

Grabbed a fast takeout from here the other night, didn't have to wait long which is good. Prawns and spring rolls were really overcooked but the udon noodles themselves and sechuan was good

lovely chinese, only downfall was the ribs. £8 per portion and literally bone. Food was beautiful other than that. Fast delivery to kiln park.

Don't bother deliverie ? Totally wrong

Never disappoints, food always arrives within the stated time and piping hot. The pancake rolls are to die for as are the ribs, quality and quantity of all dishes we’ve tried are exceptional.

Called in on Thursday and order a takeaway for 45 minutes later. Arrived as agreed and it was ready on time and piping hot. Really tasty chicken and noodles and good portions for the price too. Would highly recommend.

We stayed at meadow Farm and had a delivery Saturday . We liked it that much we ordered again Sunday night . Was good size portions arrived hot and very tasty

Great food and amazing flavours ! Had a late ish take away, the beef udon was spot on and I’m a little fussy with my chinese so was pleasantly impressed All really well cooked and will be back

I'm a regular customer, to the point where they recognise my address from the phone number. Ordererd less than usual, chicken fired rice, chips and curry sauce... 17.75 for a 5 mile delivery. Order placed at 6.15, told would be an hour... Food arrived at 7.48, luke warm at best, by 8.05 dinner was flying out like a porche.... Really not happy.... Probably last meal from the tasty cafe.

we very much enjoyed out takeaway, we ordered a number of dishes and all were good and there were complimentary crackers( although we did spend over £40). I always get excited for my food when you can hear the wok cooking, I could see it hear too. I'll be back. Thanks.

We think this is the best Chinese in the area! The food is always delicious! We ring ahead and then collect - collection time has always been reasonable.

This was a unexpected takeaway due to the dragon palace not allowing us to have a sit in at their restaurant because they said that it closed at 9:30 even though it says 10 on their website and 11 on trip adviser. Rather than give them my business we decided to go back to Tenby and get a takeaway their so we chose The Tasty Cafe and are we glad we did, not only was the food fab, great size portions but we saved nearly £45 on what we would have paid at the dragon palace saundersfoot. We had sweet and sour chicken balls 12 with curry sauce, Chicken and mushroom fried rice, enough for 2 of us all for £16 GREAT FOOD GREAT VALUE BIG MISTAKE DRAGON PALACE.

Just ordered a delivery to Penally Court Caravan park as a treat for the family, I was a little concerned with some of the reviews prior to ordering but I really shouldn't have been, every person really enjoyed what they ordered, the food arrived hot and tasted lovely. Great service from the order taker and the delivery driver. I cannot fault it, thank you from all 7 of us

Really sorry but food was absolutely awful. The worst Kebab I have ever had in my life.. It s 2x Warburton slices with some Iceland kebab near in the middle.. Wife had cod bits and chips.. No taste whatsoever.. I wouldn't normally put reviews on but I had to bin my kebab.. Sorry. 😞

When I went in to collect I have to admit I was apprehensive about the look of the cafe, it's not very well maintained inside and the seating being taped off due to covid doesn't help. However the lady taking the order was helpful and polite and the food was ready in around 10 minutes.. rapid. We had chicken chow mein. This was ok it was a little dry. But we had a chicken in black bean sauce which was amazing. Over all id say it's good quality at an ok price. I would go back.

Best place in Tenby for Chinese food

Very good Chinese food with a large menu . A bit of a long wait but it was a Bank Holiday weekend during Covid restrictions so no restaurants were open. Otherwise would have given it 5 stars.

ordered our food to collect at 7pm we had to wait outside a hour in the freezing cold waiting until 8pm to receive it as their was a huge queue of people also waiting to collect absolutely ridiculous!!

Ordered from here a lot over the years but the latest few visits have been great?!In one order recently we spend nearly £65 on various dishes and sides and was convinced the order would somehow be wrong when it arrived but everything was correct with every dish easily identifiable (come Chinese many dishes are hard to distinguish) wasn't a fan of the salt and chilli spare ribs (little bite size chunks some meat,some bone-so not hat pleasant!) or the won ton soup (no flavour with few filled won tons in there!)but I was trying some different dishes and was disappointed! Though the chicken wings and king prawns in salt and chilli both delicious,special chow mein tasty Peking crispy beef was very good,all the sauces are great -arrived still hot and packed well so no spillage but like I said all was correct! Will continue to use this place as not had a problem and delivery time is always decent

Ordered a take away for delivery all the way to buttyland campsite in manorbier, food arrived on time surprisingly warm considering the distance in travelled and very tasty also ordered for our neighbouring campers and they too extremely enjoyed have to say we highly recommend and will definitely order again

As a local we stopped using as it was so hit n miss ( more miss than hit) haven’t used for over 18mths so gave it a go tonight, wish we hadn’t bothered, noodles burnt and no way was that chicken. We should of just thrown our hard earnt money in the sea. Last chance just been n gone Su.

we stayed nearby for a week and had 2 takeaways from here. Both times the food arrived promptly and was absolutely delicious. I'm so jealous that it far exceeds the Chinese takeaways close to my home. Fantastic veggie selection, but only 2 of us are veggie, the other 4 meat eaters were more than happy with their meals too. Good value for money too. Recommend 100%

We ordered way too much, crispy duck pancakes, the chicken in ginger and spring onion, beef in green pepper and black beans, special chow mein besides....We drove past many other Chinese restaurants on route from Narberth with our cooler bag to guarantee a Tasty - pun intended, meal from here.Nothing beats Tasty and tonight did not disappoint. Just the right amount of spice, salt and flavour.Happy New Year.

As a local this place did dip a year ago and I vowed I would never go again as we had 3/4 meals on the bounce that were very very poor. Gave it another chance few months back n we are ordering weekly again, it’s good, hot when it arrives n the chilli chips are spot on. Give it a go

Horrendous food.... chips like card board...burnt literally charred.... duck in black bean sauce ghastly tasted like cough medicine..... the only thing I ate was boiled white rice which also tasted like it had been cooked in soap water.... when I rung to give feedback the owner was very aggressive and did not want to listen at all..... I am saving the food to drop it off to them tomorrow morning.....

Ordered a takeaway as we were staying in lydstep, was there waiting for me when I arrived, food was fresh and very tasty. Will definitely return when we’re up there again

Super fast service, was waiting for less than 5 minutes. Well priced and lovely staff. Food was very tasty, highly recommend.

We had a set meal for four people and, although the food was of good quality, the portion size of the BBQ ribs was ridiculous, 4 half ribs approximately 4 inches ( 10cm ) long. I have posted a photograph. My local Chinese takeaway ( Bryn fish bar ) you receive 2 large containers which contains 6 ribs in each ( total of 12 ribs approximately 8 inches ( 20cm ) long.

Did give tasty cafe a miss for a while as I was disappointed with the food and was seeing it as a waste. Anyhow gave them another chance , spot on really good. Keep up the consistency

Awful!! I don’t like to leave feedback through trip advisor but after phoning the place to explain my food was awful and inedible iv beed forced to write this. If you like curry that looks like gravy, parts missing from your order and chicken that is as crunchy As pork scratching then This is the place for you.. I’m now about to cook some food for my family as the £20+ I spent has gone in the bin! Horrendous. Will not go back ever!!! Will also tell everyone that asks what Chinese is good to avoid with all costs !!!

Order from takeaway missed, tried to blame me until I reminded the person she asked me a question about that item, she was very rude back to me and asked if I still wanted it delivered I declined, opened the rest of me order the prawn toast was inedible almost black had to be thrown away

We ordered our food and the 15 minutes wait turned to 45 minutes. The phone was hot with people asking where their deliveries were too . Got our food back to our digs and it wasnt our order. Couldn't face going back and waiting again so ate what we had . Ribs were nice but the chow mein was very bland but maybe the person whose order it was had asked for it like that . The owners definately need to get more staff .

Hubs and I always have a Chinese whenever we go away, it’s just something we do. I read reviews on trip advisor so decided to try. Location was only 5 mins up road but we had to pay 1.00 to park in car park behind min stay 1 hour. Inside didn’t look great, old fashioned, dated but ok. Staff friendly and efficient as we didn’t have to wait too long. Food was still piping hot when we got back to caravan and quantity large. We had sweet n sour chicken Cantonese style chips egg fried rice and Pompadoms. We were given free prawn crackers which was lovely. Hubs couldn’t fault his food however some of my chicken was a little stringy but overall really enjoyed and would eat there again.

This place you would not look at twice but you would be wrong. Its the best take away in pembrokeshire and trust me Ive tried most of them. I have friends that travel to me just to have a takeaway from TASTY cafe

The GF and I were staying nearby and having arrived in Tenby and having passed some people carrying chinese we looked out for it. The Tasty Cafe doesn't look great from the outside or inside. The food more than made up for it- really good value and delicious
