Mr.Wong fish bar and chinese takeaway in Pembrokeshire

Absolutely brilliant tasting food wouldn’t go anywhere else. Have tried every other Chinese in the town But this is by far the best.

Only visiting area, this was recommended, was very happy with the food, would order again 👍

Really nice food, staff are willing to make small changes to dishes such as removing things or making it more spicy

THE BEST in Pembrokeshire. It is now the ONLY Chinese takeaway I use. Spent £25 and I had enough for THREE days!!

Phoned a simple order of sweet/sour chicken in batter and 1 large spring roll, I walked down to collect it brilliant a treat, £9,40p paid walked home opened bag to find 2 spring rolls that were frozen in the middle and pastry was not at all cooked they were disgusting and omg no chicken balls they had given me prawns in batter threw them back in the bag what a absolute disappointment never ever again. I will be taking the lot back tomorrow.

Food was absolutely disgusting no taste. Very dry. Definitely won’t be going back again. How can they get it that bad

Ordered an English meal consisting of 2 sausages,chips & curry sauce at 5.30. Girl on phone said it would be an hour, which is acceptable as I live outside of town. Around 7.15 I rang them back to enquire where my meal was, she said my food was sitting there waiting and I was next when the delivery driver returned. Did I still want my meal? Of course I wanted it - I was hungry!! At 8.25 there was a knock on the door and lo and behold my sausage and chips had finally walked from town. In the 3 hours it took I know I could have opened my freezer and made it quicker myself, but that wasn’t the point! Mr Wongs still charged me full price even though it wasn’t my fault!!

Over 1 hour to deliver, all food was dried out as if it had been standing re-fund refused 50% of menu in-avalible. Never again !!!!!!!

decided to try as a last minute alternative to cooking this evening, person i spoke to on the phone was friendly as was the delivery person. order arrived much sooner than expected, food was great. will definitely be ordering again.

Notice most negative remarks are about english dishes or prioritizing local numbers that order every month and save into their phone as know both my address and name now. As a chef i'll tell you this walk in's aren't your money makers, and if going to order a cuisine takeaway, order a dish from that country. Honestly This place deserves much higher rating than its got, despite not looking great on the outside like most of hwest (lets be fair) the food is outstanding everytime! Photo doesn't do it justice Singapore chow mein and crispy shredded chicken in chilli sauce.... thank me later 😉

Food is always perfect. Been ordering food from here for over 10 years. I have never had a bad meal from here 10 out of 10.

Waiting over hour and half for food and when called to find out where food was, the lady just laughed. Never again!!!!!

Got a kids cod and chips cod was lovely but only got one cod bite

Not great Fish and Chips. The chips were not very nice, a bit like cardboard and the fish was a bit soggy and very greasy. Perfectly edible but not somewhere I would go back to.

The food is always amazingly hot. This time he ordered just after opening and food arrived at 7.30pm. Won’t be ordering from here for a very long time.

I ordered via their website and was very impressed that my food was ready for collection when I arrived. The chips were nice and are clearly not usual takeaway chips as they cook their own. The chicken balls were nice in size and not greasy. Chicken chow mein was lovely also, onions cooked to perfection and the chicken was nice and tender. Staff were very friendly and made me feel that my custom was valued.

Came to the area on holiday and wanted a Chinese meal, took a chance as all the local area Chinese restaurants had similar good and bad reviews. I wasn’t disappointed with this restaurant, a lot of the meals were as I would expect some slightly better and some slightly worse but overall very tasty, great value and was ready in 10 minutes for collection. Hope this helps if you find yourself in a similar situation

A decent enough Chinese takeaway. Family-run, as far as I can tell, which is always a plus in my book.

Food was not good, no veg or noodles in chicken chow mein!! Prawn toast were just big,oily slices of fried bread with no taste. Wish I had eaten before giving tip!!

Not good at all I'd even travel to another town before I'd eat anything from their. Went for Fish and chips but they didn't have any thing there Nothing apart from Anemic Chicken Disgusting

Stopped off for some fish and chips on the way back to our holiday lodge. Despite being at the till, each time a call came in, the call took priority, so waited for a few minutes just to have our order taken. Really nice fish, but the chips tasted like they’d been cooked 4 times already and left to dry and go cold out each time. Not the best by a long way!

Had fish and chips, prawn toast, capital ribs and 2 dessert fritters. Arrived within an hour as stated when we ordered. Chips were a bit cardboardy. Fritters and ribs were fine as was the fish. Probably wouldn't bother again though.

Waited for ever for our food! Turned up burnt chips! And chicken balls were greasy as hell 😡

1 hour and 20 mins wait, greasy cold and sweet and sour sauce had burst in the bag covering every! Never again.

Not a posh frontage but good quality, reasonably priced large portions of a wide variety of dishes. Served quickly with a smile and piping hot. We always look forward to our next visit

Nice take away although the eating in bit is cold and has no atmosphere.

I had the family over to say and popped here for a take out. It was very good and reasonably priced to feed four - I will be going again =)

Enjoyed a very nice meal from here when staying on holiday. Good selection and value for money. Meal for 4 with loads left over delivered for under £40. Fresh and generous portions. Would definitely recommend!

Asked for vegetable chowmein with black bean sauce (vegetarian) and banana fritters. Told theres a 10 minimum spend. Ask for some plain chicken (to feed to the cats for a treat). Asked if i mean chicken chowmein, reiterate 'plain chicken, just chicken with no sauce, noodles or any of it', yup okay sure done. Received special chow mein with black bean sauce and a plain chow mein. Picked the meat out of my noodles and fed it to the cats, and after all that the sauce was pretty bland anyway. Friendly staff though.

Its ok; no more no less. Never eaten from here before but the takeway was basic chinese adapted for the uk market. Stodgy sauces over cheap meat. Not expensive so got what we paid for.

Entramos a pedir una China dijeron venir a la puerta de "fish and chips". Junto a ordenar En primer lugar, señorita tomó la orden hizo mirar interesada? ? Esperamos en la sección china para llevar no tardaron mucho en la justicia. En casa 25 libras de comida sin sustancia muy pobre porciones. Recomiendo, sin mejorar el servicio al cliente. En segundo lugar, tome el chico lejos prohibe en entregar, no lo quiero aquí. No hay para mí un pobre para el precio.

Ordered sweet and sour chicken to be delivered, which the lady barely understood, what came was a piece of stringy dry chicken Brest with slits down it, lay on watery sauce and some tasteless string things underneath. The food was hot I give them that! Surly a Chinese takeaway knows what this dish is??? Won't order from them again

Had the best Chinese takeaway ever from here, shame it's not my local! The food tasted fresh and homemade. I enjoyed the duck in plum sauce. You have to order rice,chips,noodles etc the dishes don't come with anything.

Been going here for nearly 5 years, helped me through 2 pregnancy's and a divorce ha! They have maintained its high quality food through out. I love it!

ordered a takeaway for Saturday night for 3. was told the meal would be with us in about 45 minutes.- it arrived within 25 minutes and 10 of those were to get to me. curry, chow mein, rice, SnSour balls for less than £30.

Me my friend decided to have a Chinese take away and after hearing nice things about this place we thought we would give it a go. After walking I'm we saw a young girl behind the desk taking a phone order so we waited our turn to give her our order. My friend started to give her order then the phone rang again so he deleted my friends order. After the phone call we tried again and again got half way through before the phone rang and she answered the phone and got rid of our order, my friend then turned to me and said "shall we try another place" but we decided to wait till she was off the phone then surprise surprise the phone rang again and our order was gone for the third time. We were soon right in front of the young girl for around half an hour. So we headed off to find another Chinese shop, the young girl did apologise once or twice but didn't look or act like she wanted to be there. Would not go back simply for wasting our time however if you do decide to give it a go the I do recommend that you place you're order through phone to safe time.

Which paid off... A very good quality Chinese... Friendly receptionist. A lovely meal for the family holiday while at Bluestone.

Sliced chicken in a bbq sauce on a bed of noodles. More like un-sliced tasteless dry something on tasteless oily string. The only plus point was that the crud was hot. One point for the can of coke. It was in date and cold.Waited in cold drab room. The decor consisted of leaking boxes of oil stacked against the wall. Sat on hard wooden chair that wouldn't have be out of place at the local tip.It didn't look that clean to me either.

We tried Mr Wong for the first time this weekend, we usually always use Brothers House in Prendergast but after an hour and a half wait we still hadn't receive our food so we cancelled with them. So happy that we did as the food we had from Mr Wong was by far the best Chinese I've had locally. We will be using Mr Wong's from now on and can't recomment it enough. Absolutely lovely!

Always a fast, friendly service. My son is a very fussy water but mention Me Wongs sausage and chips and he's out the door! The Chinese is in our opinion now the best in Haverfordwest. Crispy duck is awesome. Well with trying.

Best and cleanest Chinese by far. I normally go for the king prawn curry extra hot. Delicious. All ingredients really fresh and would defo go back

Great takeaway with a wide variety on the menu. Staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome. Food was fantastic and will be returning again.
