Golden Park in Pembrokeshire

Although we were apprehensive about ordering because the reviews weren’t great and we have high Chinese standards, we were very pleased with our takeaway. It was pretty much a standard one, not incredible but met expectations and was tasty. We spent about £70 on the usual chow mein, sweet and sour chicken, duck pancakes etc. All really nice with big chunks of meat, piping hot and delivery exactly on time! We didn’t get the usual free prawn crackers but did get a free bag of spring rolls and samosas which was a nice surprise.

I don't know what's going on tonight my BBQ spare ribs had no barbecue sauce in it and very stingy special fried rice with so bad couldn't eat it it's normally the best of ever eaten

Super Tasty Super Quick. I always go for Fried Rice, Chips and Curry sauce and always relish it.

This is the worst Chinese meal I’ve ever had . After a 3 hour journey we decided to grab a take away to take to the holiday cottage as it was getting late. We ordered crispy shredded chilli beef (vial tasting the chilli sauce was so sweet and tasted like strawberry pop watery the beef was pale and didn’t taste of anything) Salt and pepper king prawn was dripping in oil Crispy seaweed tasted oil dirty oil The house special fried rice was all stuck together We literally had to throw it all away what a waste of £40 Swear clear.

Ordered for 3 adults. Shredded Chilli beef was the worst I have ever seen, very pale in colour and extremely chewy. Would not use them again.

I spent £32.00 on sweet and sour hong kong style the chicken was like rubber and the sauce was watery and tasteless. Next the spriing rolls tasted strange like somthing was off. Next the che=icken cop suey was bland and tateless also noodls not fully cooked. next the beef in green peppers and black bean sauce was like rubber could not eat. next the king prawns in garlic the sauce was watery with no flavour. Next the prawn crackers were the only edible item. My wife and myself both felt sick after eating a couple of mouthfulls it all went in the bin. I also gave the delivery driver a tip so all in all i paid £38.00 for a bag of prawn crackers. They never reply to any reviews i would never ever ever go there again they should be shut for good all was vile and oh yes all was underseasoned.

I have bought food 3-4 times already from this place. Even though its not authentic the food tastes good and quantity & pricing are reasonable. I am not an expert but I believe their salt & pepper wings are not theirs just straight from supermarket frozen to their oven. The one problematic thing I could think of is, they don't accept cards. Unfortunately I reduce 2 more stars because of my last takeaway incident. The lady (i think the owner) is very rude and arrogant. She charged 50p on the card without telling me. I just asked why you didn't tell me or atleast you should atleast inform people before charging, but she wasn't listening and started screaming. She calmed down only after I asked for refund. Finally I left with the food and paid the money as she asked. Unfortunately never going back.

The young girl that delivered was the only reason for overall 2 stars. The Lemon Chicken was the worst thing I think I've ever paid to eat, though ate very little. The Hors d'oeuvre appeared old, as if reheated from two days before. Was so looking forward to the first Chinese takeaway in years. Never again!

Would give this a zero if I could it was the worst special chop suey I have ever had, a clear sauce with no colour to it, the meat had a piece of bone the pork was gristly Just bloody disgusting

Ordered a beef chow mein & a plain chow main for takeaway. Husband had chunks of raw beef in his chow mein, and I found pieces of beef in my plain chow mein. As a lifelong vegetarian this is absolutely disgusting. Really don’t know how an establishment with a 5 star hygiene rating is getting away with such appalling cross contamination (with items labelled as vegetarian on their menu) and literally serving raw meat. Avoid at all costs.

I have never had a disappointing take away from these lovely people. Always a friendly smile and tasty food cooked to order. The portions are lid busters and truly delicious. I work in the area and this takeaway is a family favourite. I phone ahead my order and it is cooked to order on arrival. I have to wait sure, but it is piping hot, not hanging around on the counter. I can live with that.

Awful! THE worst Chinese I've ever had. We had the sweet and sour chicken.. just imagine strawberry ice cream sauce all over the food... And £4 for boiled rice. Sorry for the poor review but it really was disappointing. I'm not a fussy eater either

Phoned order in, and drove 15 miles to get it. The order was wrong, so had to drive back again. Got charged more, even though we already paid for things we didn’t order. £4.50 just for rice. Crispy beef was tasteless and had boiled onions in it. Wouldn’t return

The food here is very nice. The staff are helpful and friendly. The delivery is always on time with the food hot and ready to eat.

Sadly after looking forward to the take away over the weekend, it didn’t live up to expectations. The rice and prawn crackers were good but the 2 main dishes Lemon Chicken was too tough to eat and the Sweet n Sour vegetables so sweet it was ridiculous, which then swamped the rice!

The worst I've ever had. Delivery prompt, maybe this the problem, sick within 1/2 hour. Sweet and sour sauce looked toxic, bright pink! Prawn toast tasted like very old oil. I'm sorry but so disappointed and sick 😫

Dry, no flavour, chewy beef in my chow main, rice was like I had been slow cooked...never ordering from here again

I promised myself 3 years ago I would never have a takeaway from this place whilst I was able to eat unassisted. Letting bygones be bygones we decided to try it again in the hope that it had improved but it has only confirmed without doubt, it's the worst tasting Chinese (Special Curry) I've ever had in my life!!

Probably The Worst Chinese I've Ever Had, Just Had Crispy Beef And Chilli, with Chow Mein, absolutely no seasoning at all and not one bit of chilli in it, no sauces with either of the dishes, lol. Won't be going bk here sorry!

Worst take away I’ve ever seen. Everything was bland and as for the pink glowing sweet and sour sauce I’ve never seen anything like it. All went in the bin apart from the few mouthfuls I tried, which I then later brought back up. Yuk! Avoid at all costs

Spent yesterday evening at the beach at Freshwater West & stopped off here for takeaway on the drive home. Firstly & contrary to a recent review, I paid by card, not cash, card payment just wasn't advertised, I simply asked. There were 5 of us & all the food was excellent, freshly cooked & hot, very tasty & the portion sizes were more than enough. I had the House special fried rice and it was packed full of ingredients. Would definitely use again if back in the area & so If you live near or are passing through, I would recommend calling in for food from here.

We ordered food from here to take back to the campsite we were staying at. The food was good, portions were good and prices reasonable. We would return. The one problem straight away is cash only. It’s very unusual to not accept cards, especially with Covid still going on. Parking is not so easy. There are some streets behind the shop that I found a space on. Face coverings needed and the front of house man was wearing one. Plastic screens in place.

Not very impressed. Noodles and rice overcooked, bland, spring rolls looked shop bought with next to no filling. Would not recommend and will not be returning.

Salt & pepper ribs: fatty, bbq ribs with onion thrown on them, not S&P ribs, also mostly fat. Sweet and sour chicken ?? big battered chicken with seperate pink glowing sauce!! Bloody awful... In the bin it went! Boiled rice, ok as I managed to eat that along with the prawn crackers! Extra free with the take out was a bag of what I thought was spring rolls but upon biting into the roll I think it was spring slug or something of that texture!!!! Not the best £18.10 I have ever spent! Avoid

We did a walk in order and the food was prepared within 15 mins. Staff were pleasant. Food was hot and ok.

ordered chicken satay, salt and pepper squid and vegetable rice. affordable price, perfectly cooked in delicious sauces and generous portions :) came with free prawn crackers and fortune cookies quick service and friendly staff highly recommend 5/5 stars

Amazing food good quality good value for money we stayed in the area for a long weekend and had a large group food order they handled it well food was fresh tasty and I would highly recommend!!!

Definitely, without a doubt, the best Chinese takeaway we have ever had. A group of our friends were staying in West Wales for a few nights away and decided to order from this takeaway as it was only 3 to 4 miles away from where we were staying. We were told it would take just over an hour to deliver and when it arrived - within the timeframe, the delivery driver was really friendly and all the food was piping hot. We ordered £75 worth of food so had quite a variety of dishes. Every single dish was so delicious and of the greatest quality. I even rang the restaurant back to thank them for the food and to pass on our thanks to the chefs too. I would highly recommend this establishment.

Although the food tasted good, it made my girlfriend very ill.

The worst I have had, cold on delivery as it was not delivered in a thermo box or bag. Spent £140 as we were a group, asked for a selection, did not get that. Avoid like the plague

Awful. Jelly like bbq sauce, chicken fried rice had cubes of frozen chicken and was totally tasteless, crispy duck was so full of fat and barely any actual meat, the ribs were dried pieces of bone, everything was terrible apart from the prawn crackers. Rarely write reviews but thought it was worthwhile warning people of this one

We are fairly new to the town so this was our first taste of local Chinese food, & I have to say it was amazing. More than enough, beautifully cooked & fast delivery. Well done Golden Park. We will be returning on a regular basis.

Worse I have ever tried. Gloopy Luke warm food. Should be ashamed of taking money off you. Will not use again. I normally cook my own Chinese meals but booked as Rugby was on. Big mistake!!!!!

The food was really yummy, the best takeaway in Pembroke! Authentic and fast delivery. I ordered the special fried rice, special chow mein and the sweet and sour chicken. My kids loved it. :)

I have orderd from here again this eve and once again really pleased with the food and quick service,really generous portion sizes and high quality definatley a bargain for the price.i was welcomed by a nice gentleman and spoke to me with excellent customer service as i waited (not long)for my food i highly recomend this place

Will usually write a quick review on google but had to post on here too on this occasion.The best chinese takeaways I have ever had.I say plural because it was so good, we went back 2 nights later!Unfortunately was only on holiday near Pembroke so will be a year before I am back!The portions you receive are absolutely huge. A quarter duck was more like a half so prepare to be full up! That being said, the prices don't reflect that as they are very reasonable prices.Very friendly service and cannot recommend enough!

The food was absolutely fantastic. Rich in taste. The portions for the price you pay were outstanding. Would fully recommend. FYI it is cash only.

We ordered a take away, very reasonably priced. The portions were massive, we could have had a full meal with half of what we had. Definitely recommended.

I had a chicken curry and a few bites in I noticed the chicken was pink! I didnt eat anymore the next day I was so poorly!!! Never again 😡😡

It’s been a while since I had a takeaway but Golden Park definitely made up for that. The food was fantastic, reasonably priced and came in very generous portions. This has to be the best Chinese in town! Great to see all the team strictly abiding to all social distancing rules. I will definitely be back.

First time using Golden Park & have to say it was delicious , we ordered : Chicken curry , fried rice , pork balls - get 10 in a portion , chicken fried rice & boiled rice with sweet & sauce with prawn crackers .. Large portions with fab customer service , girl on front taking orders was pleasant & welcoming ..

Just a had a meal here tonight. I've got to say I am impressed. The food I had was up to top quality! The Special Chow Mein and Rice were very nice. The Beef in Black bean sauce had a lovely flavour with a bit of spice that kicked in very well. Very unique compared to the other bland chineses I've had from before

After a lovely day in the Pembrokeshire countryside we picked up a Take-away from the Golden Park. We chose a nice mixture but nothing was particularly special. The pork balls looked enormous but the pork pieces were surrounded by a lot of air and the batter was tough and chewy. The sweet and sour sauce was even more synthetic than usual - a strange kind of gel.... If we are in the area again I think we'll try somewhere else.

I bought a takeaway for my family and it was the worst takeaway I have ever had leaving both myself and husband with upset stomachs and,we only tried a small amount. The sweet and sour sauce was like water egg foo yung swimming in juice, crispy beef was inedible due to having no sauce and couldn't chew, the special fried rice had two peas a small amount of meat and was clogged together. It was all thrown away I wouldn't even give too my dog. It was a saturday night and during my 20 minute wait the phone went once which in a busy chinese should be non stop ringing.

Have tried to order a delivery a number of times and they never answer the phone. Tonight I have 46 redials logged trying to make a phone order and still not answering! Went elsewhere in the end!!

Looking forward to King Prawn Schezwan, got back home to find I had chicken with cashew nuts. Rang up & was told I'd have to either collect or pay for the correct dish to be delivered even though it was their mistake! BBQ spare ribs were actually honey. Plain chow mein & crispy seaweed were bland. Also charged 50p for using card even though there is no sign up to advise customers of this. Vegetable spring rolls were delicious, hence the one star review.

Staying in Pembroke for a weekend break and after an exhausting day just wanted something easy to eat in our apartment. Well, the food was amazing!!! Really surprised by the quality of the food and what a difference to back home! Highly recommended!

Well what can I say, all the times we have visited have been 10/10. Always order big and food is always piping hot and delicious! The service is very good and the drivers are also very nice when we get a delivery. Highly recommend this place and will definitely keep ordering from here :)

Liked this meal - even enjoyed the left overs next day. Bit concerned to see the hygiene rating very low but as said food nice - seemed to be cooked fresh - would go again!

Lovely takeaway food from here a vast amount of options on the menu always hot. staff on the phone always very pleasant and when we've had it delivered the delivery drivers have also been pleasant.

Ordered from here at the weekend. Was a big order, and was ready for collection up on arrival. Some dishes weren't hot (chicken dishes which was annoying) ordered plain soft noodles which had vegetables in so my fussy partner was annoyed. Chicken chow mein didn't taste like chicken chow mein, just tasted the same as the noodles with some chicken in. Used to order from here all the time buy would definitely order from elsewhere.

Very disappointed with the food very bland the special fried rice was the most unspecial fried rice we have ever tried just little chips of meat and too much egg. The crispy beef was also a big disappointment very bland as was the chow mein, the sweet and sour sauce was awful the two stars is for the beef and mushroom which was by far the best of our dishes good service and free delivery.
