Staff members are very friendly and respectful. We had a lovely time, and the food was wonderful. We will definitely be going back to enjoy the food and atmosphere

Got my takeaway home and the chicken was raw .. called them and they did not seem bothered tbh Poor experience and even worse food

Very nice food just don’t get a lot for your money not a lot off spare ribs and paid £40 and dodnt get free prawn crackers

Went in and the service was very rude, was rude to a 1 year old when taking a menu off her, honestly one off the worst experiences at a restaurant I have ever had.

Would definitely NOT recommend this restaurant. A particular member of staff was extremely RUDE, made us feel exceptionally uncomfortable, and it definitely wasn’t worth the money, WONT be returning . The lager tasted of the cleaning stuff they use to clean the pipes, asked to swap it for something different, got filthy looks and was extremely rude about the situation. So be warned , check the Stella before you drink it .

Really good for catering for celiac/gluten free!! Personally, I recogmend the chow mein the sauce is really tasty. Chips could be a little more crispy, but the meals themselves are great and the staff are really nice.

Fabulous Chinese restaurant and takeaway. All dishes so well cooked and a 5 star food hygiene rating gives you confidence. Lovely and respectful staff.

Nice food, rice was a bit bland but everything else pretty decent, shame about the added extras, we came here and have spent over £100 on food and drinks (£3 for some prawn crackers!!) and then we asked to take some of the food away as we couldn’t eat it all.. 50p per pot?! Sorry what? So if I had a take away would I have to pay extra for it to be in a pot? I’ve never been somewhere before and had to pay to take my food away that I’ve already paid for 🤣🤣🤣

I went for a meal here, with a close friend 🍒 , the service was excellent. The food was good. The atmosphere was lovely really clean and tidy restaurant, it does have low level lighting to give it a certain ambience which is romantic. I find., the only fault that I could find which may be my own preference was that the food was served in bowls, and I had to spoon it out myself. I know it’s a little thing, but I I was expecting it all to come on one plate, it does give the appearance that using bowls seems less food is on offer which I’m sure isn’t the case . I also absolutely adore fortune cookies. 🥠 which come at the end of the meal , Great place to visit 😊

Its 20% more expensive to sit in yet they charge you 50p per box of food if you want to take some home with you. I spent £107 but my child was ill so my husband had to leave as the food was coming so didn't get to eat. My other son and I stayed and ate and asked for the rest to be boxed up so we could take home. They advised it would be 50p per box extra even though my husband had paid the £107 bill on the way out ! So i had to wait to pay the addtional £2.50!. This place used to be packed on a Saturday night years ago. It's now almost empty. Also the waitress seemed like we were a massive inconvenience and could barely be bothered serving us. I paid the £2.50 charge and that's the last money they'll have off me....not that they'll be bothered.

Having looked at the comments before we came I can only say we must have gone to the wrong restaurant. A very tired looking place, you get a fork (no cutlery or even chopsticks) so doesn't expect much in the way of clients that can use cutlery. An economy serviette, why not go the whole hog and just put a roll of kitchen towel on the table? The food was very plain, straight out of a freezer and no effort made to garnish or even make it look interesting. I felt robbed. Never again.

Food was awful I ordered chicken chow mein, the noodles came separated, the sauce came with the chicken in it, absolutely no taste to it...

We were part of a large party,the service was superb and the food amazing. It came to table hot and delicious. So thank you all.

Nice ambience, sadly the food let it down . We had hot and sour soup . It was very sweet , this is a savoury dish no need for sweetening. The main was ok but really nothing special . I can't pinpoint the problem with the food . The rice was not nice usually Chinese rice has nice taste this was bland . The main was nothing special , a lot of sauce and not much else

Very quiet night. A tuesday but food excellent

What a great Chinese restaurant. All the staff were friendly and courteous and the food was amazing. We had the set banquet and each course was wonderful. I can honestly say this is the best Chinese restaurant in the area. The prawn toast was the best I have had and portions were good sized. We paid £16 a head and a couple of drinks. Thank you to Sleepy Panda; we will be coming again.

Good value, prompt service, interior dated but didn't detract from the good service and food

Dropped in with 3 friends early evening on a Saturday before going to a function. Got a table no issues. The restaurant filled up within 30 minutes. Great atmosphere really buzzing. Good service and food. Queueing out the door to get in as we left. Will be going again for a full banquet as all other food whizzing by us looked yummy.

I recently dined at Sleepy Panda, and my experience was disappointing. The main courses were satisfactory, but the real issue arose with dessert. We were excited by a delectable-looking item on the menu, but what arrived was a far cry from the picture, both in appearance and taste. After just a spoonful each, we found it horrendous and requested a replacement. To our dismay, the restaurant insisted on charging us for the uneaten dessert, citing that it wasn’t “intact”. This policy and the subpar dessert greatly marred our dining experience. We’re not coming back.

Food was good would have liked the option to eat with bowl and chopsticks as some people were doing. Service could have been friendlier

This place is sensational! The staff are well presented and very very polite and helpful. The place itself is absolutely beautiful and in my opinion authentic. The lady who served me last time was so sweet and helpful and helped me by explaining what a dish was. The food is gorgeous also! Me and my dad drive half an hour there and half an hour back that’s how good it is! Highly recommend this place it’s a 10/10 for me the only thing I would change is that I wish that the dumplings were deep fried.

Family dinner for 50th birthday and meal was delicious. We had various starters including crispy duck and chicken satay skewers. All very good and came out in good time. The main dishes followed quickly after. The steak with black bean sauce, chilli beef in birds nest and three chicken dishes ( sweet and sour, and salt and pepper ) were all cooked to perfection and accompanied by egg fried rice, chips and bean sprouts. The staff were very cheerful and looked after us very well

Not the best, some may like it but iv have 1000s of chinese. Was great about 15 years ago.

Food tastes fishy, and the fried rice felt boiled and pressure cooked. The chicken my rice consisted of was very soft and felt nothing like chicken. My brain didn’t relate with it and recognise it as chicken, more so as haribos. The cost was £23 for a bag of chips fried rice with pork belly , that weird chicken and the artificial beef, aswell as the horrible beef chow mein. I don’t rate this place and think everthing consists of mostly water and needs some major improvement.

Super delicious Chinese food. We stopped at this restaurant after a quick Google. Really really nice food, super fast service, then kids loved it too? We rotated the set meal b which was, first starters prawn toast, chicken, satay seaweed and fresh spring rolls. Second course was crispy duck pancakes. For the main we had beef and chili black bean sauce and crispy beef served with egg fried rice. Every element was delicious on the service was really good to. Please visit this restaurant.

The experience I had at this restaurant has been playing on my mind for the last few days. I was appalled by the standard of food and service. Even when I expressed my disappointment, it was not acknowledged. However I’m not surprised, they’re probably desensitised to bad feedback at this point. Unfortunately I have to choose one star, but I’m my opinion they deserve none.

I would put no stars if I could, The staff were disinterested and looked put out by us being there. The food was near inedible and a steak we ordered never turned up. I have had better food at motorway services. If you are visiting Wrexham Avoid.

Food was excellent as always. Had the banquet really enjoyable. Be aware and check the bill before paying as they attempt to add service charge and suggested 20% which is a lot the bigger the party, we asked them to remove it and paid a tip in cash .

We have used the Sleepy Panda many times in the past and it has been the high standard that others locally could not reach. However We ordered two curries A king prawn and a chicken Both the prawns and the chicken were well cooked but both meals were spoilt by far too many onions and unfotunately the mushrooms looked and tasted as though they had been purchased from Tesco's (opposite) reduced shelf. The meals cost £20 and I could have cooked better for under £5.00 Sorry you have lost my custom

If you want authentic Cantonese food then come here. The service and level of details in the cooked food was great. The food was cooked perfectly well with meats and vegetarians the correct textures and flavours.

The Mrs and I were visiting Wrexham from the USA because of the show on Hulu. Needed some dinner and was craving Chinese food. Read the reviews and decided to give it a try. Started with some Dim Sum items(Sui Mai and Ha Gao) and we were not disappointed. Also ordered Satay Chicken and Curry Chicken. Have to order rice as it does not come with the main course. Also ordered noodles with bean sprouts. All the food was fresh and so tasty. The staff was attentive and friendly.

This was always THE place to eat chinese food in Wrexham. It still serves excellent food and the service is reliably good. I wish though they would improve the ambience though. So for example, paper menus, no laid tables, and thin paper napkins give it a sort of cheap cafe feel where actually the price and food dictate otherwise. In fairness maybe a post COVID legacy? But it could do more to improve the dining experience.. The food however is really faultless and minor moans aside absolutely worth visiting for that.

Shocking mesl The restaurant is dated and desperately needs decorating, table cloth stained and the food is disgusting and inedible the chicken definitely wasn't chicken I would avoid this venue

We came to the sleepy panda on Monday Myself my partner and two children 2 &8 The service was fantastic, staff member got us a high chair which is so helpful , I do always think we get judged for taking a toddler out to restaurants but here we didn’t feel that , both kids enjoyed trying new foods and my older son said it was the best food he has ever tried ! We ordered the set menu and staff we good to let us order two and for the children to share with a side of chips ! Food was fantastic, we were not left waiting with hungry children . We had a great time and will be recommending and will return! I joked to my partner how grown up we have become finding a nice Chinese restaurant to eat at and return to !

Family get together.... five party, excellent table service from start to finish ! Beautifull food ! And i mean beautifull ! I am a self confessed nightmare of a customer... we had such a mixture of food coming out to the 5 of us and it was all amazing ! I could not fault anything ! Chicken kung po was the best i have ever tasted ! And them cheese parcels !!!!

Excellent food , had set buffet with some substitute and additions . Staff very helpful and accommodating. Decent quantities of all dishes. Crispy Duck was the highlight.

Wow what a restaurant. Went there yesterday ( new years eve 2022 ) with friends. Beautiful food, was hot and very tasty. Would definitely be going again and highly recommend this to everyone.

Food was perfect couldn't fault anything. Only 1 comment they weren't accepting card payment cause of an issue. As table had been prebooked maybe they could have informed us before we got there . Otherwise everything perfect

Ordered a takeaway for just two people. 2 meals +1 soup + Prawn Sesame toast. So it wasn’t exactly what you would call a shipping order. One meal was missing but we did get the rice! When we rang “but you haven’t been charged for it”. So that’s okay then-not. What we did have was mediocre and bland. Disappointing, because we went and sat in a couple of years ago and it was really good. Perhaps they were having a bad night. It wasn’t busy.

Perhaps it's because of rising fuel costs but the restaurant was unheated on what was quite a cold Autumn night tonight. And the frosty demeanour of the waiters didn't help. Unfriendly, unsmiling, functional and doing nothing to make diners feel welcome. I haven't been for a long time and was surprised how few people were eating on a Thursday night. From memory it used to be packed. The food tasted good but it was just as well we had the set meal with starters because the main courses were very small portion sizes. The drinks were pretty expensive. All in all an average experience but one which suggests the Sleepy Panda has fallen a long way from its previous high standards. We won't be rushing back.

Went to this restaurant last night October 15th had a really bad experience with the service. Had to wait 15 minutes just for our drinks order to be taken. The meal was good though when it arrived. The restaurant was busy and there weren’t enough staff. Not a good experience from a service perspective.

If you like Chinese food This place is absolutely amazing,the attention to detail is 2nd to none, And the taste of the food is out of this world I've never in my life had Chinese food taste this good.

I had someone use my card for a takeaway the other week which was stolen. Sleepy Panda staff were useless over the phone and promised the manager would ring me. I have not heard back. Customer service is through the floor. Prawn toasts are the only saving grace of this place.

Nice food but it's the exact same that you get from a chinese takeaway. When you go to a reastraunt you expect it to be higher quality and more special. It's basicly an over priced takeaway. The only difference is the dumplings which are great! You don't get them from a chinese takeaway.

Brought my grandson who loves Chinese food , he goes to a restaurant in Cheshire but was on holiday with us. Firstly my husband asked what bitter you had, the young man said I don’t know , so we took pot luck. We asked what Monk chicken was, the young lady did not know and wouldn’t have checked had we not requested her to. My grandson loved his lemon chicken. We as vegetarians ordered the vegetarian platter, it came with two sauces one of which had chicken in. We found this out once we had tried it. However the food on the platter was lovely and so too the vegetable curry and the aubergine dish. All good was piping hot. Just disappointed with service and knowledge of food also at no point were we asked about allergies.

If the service was up to the same level as the food.....

We’re on holiday in the area and fancied a Chinese. Pickings seemed pretty slim around Llangollen, Wrexham and Oswestry but then I happened upon reviews for this place. I have had a lot of Chinese food from a lot of different places and this is one of the best. We had Chicken Lettuce Wrap and Veg spring rolls to start with, both fantastic. Then we had sweet and sour chicken and a chicken chowmein with fried rice for the mains - again everything was lovely. Along with wine and cokes it came to £47 which is really reasonable. The staff were really good and attentive and the restaurant was clean, slightly old fashioned but nice enough. If you want Chinese and you’re in the area - I highly recommend The Sleepy Panda.

I hadn't been to the Sleepy Panda in years, so wanted to pop back for my birthday to see if it was as good as it used to be. We weren't disappointed! The restaurant looks lovely and fresh, the staff are as wonderful and friendly as they always were, and the food was absolutely delicious! The portions were very generous, and the prices were reasonable. We'll definitely be back soon!

Food was cold and only 5 minute drive from there. Ordered £30 worth and that was for two main a rice and chips seeweed and prawn toast. Fried chicken cantoneese style was not very nice.

Omg....Just had an absolutely brilliant meal here, from start to finish ..everything was amazing ...from the service to the food ...everything was so fresh, so hot and above all so tasty ...big pat on ya backs for such great service .
