Sunshine Takeaway in Wrexham

If you want a takeaway quickly avoid this place rang with order to be told over an hour which reluctantly agreed . When I went to pick up a sign on fryer stated to let them know if picking up order but on trying completely ignored and had to prompt staff to get attention which she reluctantly took my name to find the order which on finding was still not ready and told to take a seat so from the time of ordering to cruel receiving was 1hour 30 minutes . The food was nice hot and tasty but sadly the bad service they it down.

THE BEST cheesey chips and gravy EVER! No dry cheese here 😁 Chinese is always 5 star too.

NOT GLUTEN FREE This establishment claims to cater for a Gluten Free diet, but, having just phoned the cook/chef who told me it's gluten free cos it says on the ingredients !!! Then went on to say that everything is cooked together so cross contamination will be happening.!!! I'm absolutely bouncing cos he appeared to not care when I said that he's dealing with people's health AND he's never heard of Natasha's Law, so, if you have ANY kind of dietary need, well, I'd give this place a VERY wide berth !!!

Always amazing quality food, the rice is fluffy and perfect, and the meat is good quality sliced meat not processed or rubbery. The ribs were crispy and beautifully presented. I honestly can say with confidence every meal is delicious. It’s the nicest Chinese takeaway, every time we order from here it’s the right choice. A great take away. Very efficient. Food is good and served while you wait, or you can telephone through an order to collect. Serves usual fish and chips etc and an excellent range of Chinese, which is non- glutenous and delicious. Can highly recommend it.

Just ordered a Beef with Green pepper and black bean sauce and egg fried rice. Really disappointed, utterly bland with no taste. Rice was tasteless, worse than microwave packet rice. Won't be going back.

It's OK, but nothing special. Too much add ons in the meal. (Special Kung Po), water chestnuts, onions etc and poor quality beef. Oh and only 2 King prawns,

Just have to keep going back. Simply the best.

Food that bad it has ruined my whole night. Sweet and sour sauce may as well be called sour vinegar, nothing sweet about it. Waste of money and now I’m hungry

I checked the reviews and chose this takeaway on that basis - and because we live close by. We hadn't tried a takeaway since moving here a year ago! It was excellent. Tasty, hot and full of good ingredients, like vegetables etc. The service was polite and prompt. The price was excellent value for money, at a time when many takeaways have put prices up following Covid etc. They even included rice with the dishes, which were already well priced. This is an excellent takeaway. Highly recommended! Thank you.

Only called for a sausage and chips , sausage over cooked and chips undercooked. Been there several times over the years so hit and miss,

The rice dishes were super tasty, the chips were slightly too greasy. And the spring rolls for unfortunately inedible for me, I don't know if they were a bad batch or if they just taste like that but they tasted off. However they rest was lovely !! I would order again and get rice and noodle dishes with curry sauce because that was delicious !!

We needed a special treat for our Golden Wedding Anniversary - owing to all the restrictions and our concerns about contracting the Virus we decided to have a special meal from our favourate takeaway. The food was great, service was rapid, accurate safely provided in a well run establishment. Well done Sunshine - always great value and friendly service.

Ordered a takeaway as a treat as the Sunshine is our favorite Chinese Takeaway in the Wrexham area. The meal was exactly as ordered, cooked to perfection and ready the collect exactly on time. The staff are professional and friendly, providing great value for money.

My Husband or I go every Friday on don't day a week we don't cook.look forward to going to Sunshine. And the vegetables curry with fryd Rice is so good and we have parcels with them .we are regularly customers.we Been going there for many years .when I go Hayling says your usual menna we on name terms .they are a hard working couple. 5 star we give and THUMBS up .excellent.

This has always been my family’s go to choice when wanting a chinese! Great food, very good hygiene, the owners and staff are lovely and get to know their customers. Never had better food at another chinese!!!

After looking for a new takeaway in my area I was recommended this one. After collecting my order I sat down to the worst meal I have ever had to endure. The sweet and sour sauce was basically just glorified vinegar and the meat in every item was so tough even a steak knife would have struggled. I would not recommend anyone to eat here and I feel I wasted £34 on a meal I had to throw out.

Good quality English and Chinese take away

I have only been there twice but each time the food was very good. The chips were very good, which is the mark of a good chippy. It was very busy on the last visit, so much so that they stopped answering the phone for telephone orders. It was worth the wait, though.

The portions are massive and the food is amazing

Been twice now for fish and chips iv not chinese from here. The chips are fantastic with good portions and the sausages and fish good too. The kitchen and serving areas are clean too. 4 star

We stopped by here on Tuesday evening as we had been busy all day with no time to cook. The chips were fantastic, non greasy and nice and crispy. The fish was not only a large piece but very fresh. The pricing was all moderate, definitely worth stopping by.

On our way home we bought - again - a takeaway from The Sunshine Takeaway on Heol Celyn, Coedpoeth, and were not disappointed. The premises were clean and the staff friendly and helpful. We asked for a slight variation of the menu (mixed vegetables instead of mushrooms with an omelette) which was not a problem. The food was freshly cooked and hot, and the portions generous. The prices are reasonable and the quality is good. We would very much recommend this takeaway. Be aware that not on the main road but off the B5430 (Talwrn Road). We will certainly pay another visit soon.

The Chinese meals have always been cooked nicely. Last few times we've had fish/chips always over cooked..maybe we're just unlucky on those days.
