This takeaway really was the worse we have ever had even the chips had to be thrown in the bin. Ribs completely over cooked and thrown away also. Generally the portion sizes were for a single person they really were that small and on the whole it was quite expensive. We tried it previously and thought we would give it a second chance but we will look elsewhere next time.

We had a Chinese takeaway from here last night as staying in the area on holiday. The food was amazing and so tasty, we also got complimentary prawn crackers which is a rare thing these days. Will definitely recommend to anyone that's in the area.

We placed a large order for our family. It was ready on time. Piping hot, amazing portion sizes (enough for tomorrow too 😉), great value for money. Would highly recommend without hesitation.

Food was very good. Especially recommend the deep fried won tons and crispy prawn (A3). The large spring rolls are enormous (about the size of a large Cornish pasty!!!) Full of flavour, plenty in each dish - all round yummy and 4 happy customers!!

My partner and I visited this establishment for the first time and order two mixed grill, we asked for no liver and they agreed to change this for sausage which we was happy with, on bringing the food back to the hotel we was disgusted the gravy was like water, peas were hard chips burned (Paid extra for peas and chip's) the steak was so tough we couldn't bite Into it my partner had liver in his after stating we didn't wish for this. We was so put off I contacted the establishment and expressed my dislike, the lady who answered had to put me through to the kitchen staff where I spoken with Marie and she apologied and offered me a full refund to which I did receive.. Thank you Marie. Sorry but we won't be visiting here again.

My experience with the food and service at the imperial palace was wonderful. I visited the restaurant to order take away food for me and the family who were staying in the area for a holiday. The order was made over the phone and we requested a pick up time, which the staff kindly agreed on, all the food was prepared and ready upon our arrival. We ordered a large range of dishes from meat dishes to vegetable, all of which were generous in portion size and full of flavour. All the food was piping hot and looked delicious, in particular the battered sweet and sour chicken was exceptional. Two members of the party were also pleased with the brilliant value for money the set dinner menu offered. Should we stay in the area again there is no doubt we would return to the imperial palace.

We ordered a family take away from here and enjoyed all the meals! It was ready to collect in no time. The sweet and sour chicken was delicious (battered) went well with the egg fried rice. My nana loved the pineapple chicken dish which she had with boiled rice (rice/ chips are all extras) Another favourite was the King prawn Cantonese style which was delicious! (Battered and flavoured well!) We also loved the prawn toast one portion was enough for 4 (8 pieces) we also enjoyed the free prawn crackers (lights and crispy) Thank you!!

We visited the Imperial Palace for a takeaway tonight on the first night of our holiday.We were nothing but impressed.The prawn toast was delicious as a starter.The sweet and sour chicken was excellent. The sauce tasty and plentiful. The chicken batter was crispy and tasty.The char sui King po was equally as tasty.I expect we will back later in the week...its a shame the restaurant isn't open.Would highly recommend.

I do not very often write a review , but, tonight we decided to eat Chinese, we have often eaten in the restaurant previously with no complaints. As a take away (because of covid19) I ordered sweet and sour special in batter, egg fried rice, and chips. Chips hot but over cooked, have seen owners previously in Farm Foods buying frozen chips. Egg fried rice , the nearest the rice has ever seen an egg was perhaps when they sat next to each other on the supermarket shelf. Sweet and sour sauce ok,ish . As for the special in batter, I find it hard to describe, obviously bought frozen and already battered ( certainly not freshly battered) . What a waste of money, and will not be visiting the restaurant again and would NOT RECOMMEND THE TAKE AWAY

In these crisis times how nice to find The Imperial open for takeaways. Georgeous food - spare ribs + grilled steak for the boss. A tourist here for 60 years just hanging on to the bitter end.

This is an excellent Chinese restaurant. The staff are friendly, extremely helpful and attentive. We had beef with ginger and pineapple, and sweet & sour king prawns. Both dishes were freshly prepared and cooked really well - the vegetables were crisp and flavoursome, the beef was lean, and the prawn batter crisp.Great value, too - well under £30, including our drinks.Recommended highly.

Really enjoyed our meal here, good sized portions, reasonably priced drinks, and a lovely young lady server. All in all very nice meal.

After a long but enjoyable day walking the coastline with the dogs we decided to stay in and order a takeaway. The menu was varied and we chose duck and pancakes to share as a starter and a selection of mains with chips, fried rice and prawn crackers as sides. We were very pleasantly surprised at what good value it was - and that the prawn crackers were complimentary, but most of all at how fresh and tasty all the food was. Highly recommended

Absolutely FABULOUS evening. Food was wonderful, service (Mia?) superb... nothing was too much trouble. We had one of the nicest evenings at any restaurant that I remember in a long time. DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED 👍🏽❤️

Went here on our first night, and although there was nothing wrong with any of the food just find it a bit underwhelming.

We had been told that the restaurant looked a bit dated but that the food was pretty good so despite the external appearance we gave it a go. We ordered the mixed starter for two at a cost of £16.00 which seemed pricey but we put that down to the premium for the area. It was awful, greasy and absolutely swimming in oil, not only that it came with just two ribs, one each. My wife chose crispy chicken, which wasn't crispy at all but soggy and greasy as if it had been microwaved. I had sizzling fillet steak which was ok. Both meals in most restaurants would come in sauce with onions and peppers etc. ours came with just onions in the sauce. My wife was actually sick later that evening. We will not visit this restaurant again and would advise that others don't either, it was the worst Chinese meal we have ever had anywhere.

went in on a Sunday evening 6.30ish no other customers which always makes me suspicious, but suspicions completely un founded, had banquet b for four people, food was delicious from start to finish and the two young waitresses were lovely and charming throughout ! will definitely visit again next time we stay here.

Called in this weekend service and food was excellent, really enjoyed are meal and would recommend the king prawn sweet and sour, and lemon chicken. Will definitely call in again, and a big thank you to the girls for all the hard work

We arrived on Friday afternoon and by the time we had unpacked and sorted out our accommodation we were tired. I called next door for a menu then rang and ordered.

We visited the Imperial Palace restaurant recently with my hubby, daughter and son. We did not make a reservation, however were seated promptly and also our order was taken soon after which was great as we were very hungry. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and always had a smile on them. The food came out quickly which was nice, it tasted really nice and was piping hot. If you are one for Salt and chilli tofu then this place makes it so delish you could have more. The portion sizes were also good for two adults and a child. Overall we had a lovely experience.

Once of the tastiest Chinese dinners I have had for a long while. I chose tofu in black bean sauce - it was delicious. The staff were very friendly adding to a relaxing evening. A make over would add to the experience, however quality of the food made up for this. Hoping to visit again before we head back home.

The food was exceptional. I had the kung po chicken and it was the best, extremely fresh, tasty and piping hot. The portion sizes were very generous. We will definitely order from here again!

Just had a takeaway - king prawns in satay sauce 'n egg fried rice - all freshly cooked, massive prawns and lots of them - beautiful spicy flavours. Pinched some of "the boss's" barbecue spare ribs - delicious.

Having eaten twice in our hotel, we decided to try this place. We walked by in the afternoon to size up the place, and there did not appear to be a menu on display outside. We returned later and , on entering, were presented with a comprehensive menu. The dishes we ordered were hot and delicious, and the service impeccable.

We ordered a take away for 17 people as we were staying in a house close by. We did wait for a long time on pick up but it was well worth it. The food was hot, tasty and just perfect. Will definitely try again and highly recommend.

We didnt fancy a Sunday roast prior to our trip home so opted for Chinese instead. The restaurant was very quiet and food was served fast. Food was very good and we will definitely return!

We picked up the meal for 3 people and it was piping hot, plenty of food (for 4!) and very tasty. Every dish was excellent quality with fresh veg and good quality meat. Will definitely use again next time we’re in Trearddur Bay.

Living in Manchester we have plenty of Chinese restaurants to choose from. We had no idea that this place would compete with our favourite places at home! Fabulous service, delicious food, beautifully presented. Reasonably priced. This place will be on our list when we return to Anglesey!

Takeaway for 2. Rang the order, and allowing for 15mns cooking time, was ready within 5mns of getting there. The 'boss' had crispy duck and I had special curry and boiled rice. Lots of duck and real chicken in mine; other bits and rice perfect.

If you like Chinese, then don't bother with this place, simply rubbish, chow mein was burnt and basically inedible, even the seagulls walked away from it,! Rib starters just about edible if your a fan of gristle and have a great jaw and teeth like a shark,

We have used this a lot of times but have noticed recently thst the standards have slipped .food orders are taking a lot longer than usual and you have to wait ages.chips are reheated and often burnt now the chow mein tastes awful lately with bits of bacon and a smoked taste.

Staying in Treardurr Bay we ate here and were very impressed.

First time in the town and after a fantastic lunch just wanted a light meal, cue The Imperial Palace. Takeaway but no delivery, nuisance but made the short trip after ordering. Told 20 minutes. Arrived after 25 and waited at least another 10-15. Used debit card touch to pay, didn't work first time, young lady told me to "Get another card"!. Got back to hotel, and was confronted with one of the worst meals I've had from a Chinese. Bland, unappealing is the best that can be said. Wasted time and money.

We've eaten takeaway from here before and the service and food were nothing special, but acceptable. But tonight the service was diabolical. We waited just over 1 hour for two stir fry dishes, two rices and a portion of chips. The chips were cold and they only managed to put one carton of rice in the order. We went back to complain and had a refund for the rice and chips. We don't think we'll be going back.

Although the venue may seem small in size the food they serve is packed with flavour. The restaurant is clean and presentable and the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. There was no urgency to rush and plenty of time was given inbetween courses. We ate in the restaurant but a takeaway service is also provided. A very enjoyable meal with excellent staff.

I have been to this Chinese several times and always impressed with the food, especially duck with spring onions and ginger. However, after recently placing an order for 10 people, was told it would be ready by 8pm. Once arrived at the takeaway reception for 8pm, ended up waiting for 40 minutes with no update on when it would be ready. Other people also waiting and the receptionist still taking phone orders stating 20-30 minute waiting times. Some young children ordered salt and pepper chips and waited over 25 minutes for their order!

Really good value for money and fantastic tasting food, really enjoyed it as did the rest of my family.

I have to say this was the worst Chinese I have ever had. We called through a large order and was told 10 mins for the food. When we collected and opened it didn’t look too bad but felt a very heavy meal leaving you with a uncomfortable feeling after eating. The chow mien was dry, prawn toast was soggy we had 7-8 dishes all of which were disappointing.

Telephoned our order through and was told 40 minutes. Went down 40 minutes later and then had to wait another 40 minutes on the premises and I wasn't the only one. No member of staff came to let us know what was happening. We were just left there........wondering.

Not having been here for several years, we called on spec and were given a table without delay; we should have seen the signs, only one other couple there. The two young girls running it were being 'entertained' by a rather inebriated Welsh man, and succeeding in ignoring him. They were most helpful and attentive. The food though was nothing to write home about, average at best. The backing sounds of Chinese songs was the only bit of atmosphere at all. The Takeaway side seemed to be busy, but as it is the only Chinese food outlet for miles, no surprise. In all, not recommended.

We have eaten here many many times and have always been satisfied however on the last two visits we felt it didn't come up to past standards. It would seem that when the owner Yin is in Malaysia standards have slipped considerably. We decided to give them another visit and despite only 4 tables being in use we were kept waiting at reception, there were uncleared tables, cutlery on the floor, we had to ask for drinks .When the order was finally taken we had quite a wait for our food which was eventually served with cold plates, so all in all we were unimpressed and will not return!!

Lovely unassuming place. Very polite and obliging staff. Tendered to all our dietary requirements (and we are a restaurants nightmare). The food was traditional and very tasty. Sorry I've not taken any photos. Just try it. 😀

We are going to be regular visitors to Trearddur Bay thanks to discovering Ty Bae B&B; (reviewed separately) so on this visit we decided to try the local Chinese. It was a shame the place wasn't a bit busier - especially as it was Mothers' Day - but compared to the generally quiet level of trade in evidence elsewhere in the village they were holding their own nevertheless. Service was good and quick, and the complementary prawn crackers to bridge the gap between arriving and ordering were very welcome. We shared a generously-proportioned quarter crispy duck by way of a starter and picked two chicken dishes for mains. Portions were generous, but not excessive - nevertheless we had no space for dessert so they'll have to wait for another time. Worth a visit, definitely.

Got a banquet for 11 of us staying in a cottage and it was so tasty. Every meal was really nice. Highly recommend it.

An amazing Chinese. So often takeaways are subs standard; this excelled beyond all expectations. Would recommend this place without hesitation and will be coming back the next time I am Anglesey.

Very impressed on how fresh and flavoursome the food was. Ordered over the phone, at first they didn't answer but i got a call back straight away. Very quick and efficient. Only a 20min wait on a Saturday night i thought was very reasonable.

Yet again visited this, one of the best Chinese Restaurants I've eaten in, on a cold night in January - don't be put off by the fact it seems you are in their front room, the service ,, lovely, tasty piping hot food is super. Would I recommend, yes no hesitation

I visit this restaurant every time I come from Liverpool. The staff are so friendly and the family who run it (cooking) do a fantastic job - with takeout orders and dealing with the restaurant orders. the food is fantastic

I wasn’t expecting much, however the salt & pepper chips were perfectly crisp, & tasted great with a portion of curry sauce.

Myself and my boyfriend have come on a couples weekend with three other couples. We are all Chinese lovers and couldn't wait until we saw a five star rating when ordering your Chinese. However what we received was definitely not Chinese food let alone actually edible.

Busy takeaway on a Sunday night (can also eat in). 25 minute wait for food to be cooked, but nice guy on front desk. Duck in plum sauce was good, but a little fatty (as duck can be). Plain rice and chicken was plain as expected but special fried rice was bland with a strange gravy. Crispy shredded beef was not crispy and the sauce had a strong flavour of burnt earth.

Called on a cold, rainy, manky midweek evening so were hoping it would lift the evening a bit and not surprisingly for that evening, it wasn't over busy. Our food was good, service excellent, and the waitress (a young girl from Holyhead) was engaging and professional - for me that always makes for an enjoyable experience.

4 of us went for a meal. The food was very tasty, excellent quality and really good value. The take out aspect of the business seemed to be thriving but where we were sat, inside, was quiet. Would happily recommend for a meal but the stand out feature for me was the caring attitude of the young lady serving us. My mother is quite frail and has dementia. Mum was telling me when we arrived that she was cold and without us asking the staff put on the heating to help her get warm. Mum was also reluctant to try any of the Chinese food so had a very simple omelette and chips which she thoroughly enjoyed and praised for days after.

We was staying in a cottage at Treaddaur bay and went to try out the The Imperial Palace.

Can’t comment on the restaurant itself but have used the take away service a couple of times and the food was excellent, among the best I have had in fact.

My friend and I had dogs with us on holiday so could not go into the restaurant, so I went in to order a takeaway which they said would be approximately 15 mins. I explained we would wait outside because of the dogs and we found a bench behind the restaurant. We wandered back after 15 mins and the young lady came out to us with our order which was a lovely touch. The food was excellent but service was outstanding.

Had many lovely takeaways from here during our stay. The Char Sui chow mien was a favourite and the crispy duck was also lovely.

Chose take away rather than eat in. Usual choices on the menu well executed especially the spicy dishes such as Singapore noodles. Large order filled correctly with free prawn crackers.

This restaurant is a little gem. It is on the main A5 in Trearddur Bay. It is nicely decorated and the staff were very friendly. The food was truly excellent and it was not expensive. Will definitely be returning

Ordered a family take away from here. Service slow but Friday night so expected. Food was ok but a bit greasy and chow chow me in very bland. Prices are a bit steep for overall quality. Average tale away nothing special.

I don't know what happened for some of the other reviewers but we are there tonight and the food was superb. We had a really nice chat with the chefs daughter who told us all about her father's training as a chef in China and how he adapted the food to fit a UK palate. If you want hotter or spicier food, just ask! As it was my husband and I found the food to be really good. Steamed pork and prawn dumplings freshly prepared and cooked. Chicken with spring onion, ginger and oyster sauce very tasty and not over powering. I had salt and chilli king prawns that were delicious and had bite to the prawn. Highly recommended as both food and staff were super!

I love Chinese food and can eat it any time of the day. Ordered a meal for three. It was all tasteless and the rice was burnt, awful awful flavour. I reheated some left over the next day but ended up throwing it..the taste and smell of burnt rice was overpowering. I could see little black bits in it. Never experienced that before only with my own cooking which is why I have take outs!

Worse food ever so lucky it only cost u £3 as the lady gave us wrong change . We had.rice.salt and pepper chips curry sauce and fillet steak in blackbean sauce. Rice was u solid didnt want to break away from the tray . Chips undercooked no flavour just chillis. Curry full of lumps. Steak was fatty must of been the cheapest cut of beef not fillet steak ..Didnt see it busy in the full week we was staying in the area.

Today was the second time we have been here. The food was gorgeous, as usual, nice and hot, and so tasty! Would highly recommend the special fried rice with BBQ sauce, some places get the BBQ sauce very wrong, not this place, spot on! Definitely will be going back again!

This is a very well run Chinese restaurant and take-away. We have visited the restaurant a number of times and had many take aways from there. Cant fault either on price service and quality

Not a good experience, first impression you see is a food hygiene rating of 1 on the door. Plenty of staff around and to be fair they were pleasant however the food was very poor, we had four different dishes but the worst was the chicken satay, no peanut taste at all and a weird yellow colour. All dishes very bland. Won't be going again.

Food is of average quality, nothing special. Had chicken chow mein and special chow mein, the chicken in the special looked far better than the tough scraggy bits in the chicken chow mein. The special only had a couple of prawns, and a small slice of pork so was bland. Chips and prawn crackers were very nice. Curry sauce very powdery.

A good Chinese restaurant with a wide range of dishes. Service was very quick. There is a 50p charge if the order is under £20 and you pay by card.

First and last time takeaway. Food looked like it came from a bag in the freezer straight into the deep fat fryer. Floppy chips, deep fried prawns and chicken, non-crispy beef. The dogs enjoyed it, we didn't.

Ordered takeaway comprising ribs in syrup, peppered chicken wings, Cantonese sweet and sour chicken, beef chow main and fried rice. Ribs were chewy, wings in overcooked batter, chicken soggy and chow main mushy. Won't be returning.
