Sunny Valley in Isle of Anglesey

We’d come away to the Island for a short break and wanted a takeaway on our first night. On seeing all the positive reviews we ordered mixed platter for two starter, chicken cashews and Thai green curry mains, rice and salt and pepper chips. It started well, the starter platter was tasty. The mains were awful, the chicken was boiled, completely tasteless and abit chewy with an odd tasting chicken cashew sauce. The Thai chicken was the worst I’ve ever had with a runny watery mint sauce which had no coconut milk in at all, again had an odd taste and was very very spicy…the salt/pepper chips had virtually no onion/chillis in, weren’t spicy at all, just covered in Chinese 5 spice making them almost inedible. I’m afraid this was one of the worst Chinese’s that we’ve ever had.

Absolutely lovely food cash only or you can do a direct bank transfer and why not card payments has got so expensive for retailers it’s a massive expense for them. But back to the food can’t fault it didn’t have any chips with mine but watching them being packed they looked delicious. Will definitely be going back.

Ordered a takeaway and it was ready to be collected after 10mins. The food was really tasty and we really enjoyed it. Friendly staff.

Ordered crispy shredded beef, large spring rolls and salt and pepper chicken with prawn toast. Absolutely stunning, this take away is worth the wait and the travel… honestly it was a real pleasure and genuinely the best Chinese I’ve had in years! Keep up the good work, lovely to see you as busy as you were tonight too. Well deserved!!

In my humble opinion, one of, if not the best Chinese take aways on Anglesey.

We had a delivery to the caravan site we are staying on this evening . We ordered for delivery at 5.30, it arrived at 5.40. The food was amazing , fresh, tasty and hot . Good value for what we had . We had a the set menu for £34 … it was really good value . The crispy duck was absolutely amazing. Well done sunny valley .

We had a delivery to our caravan site which was great. Lovely service. My house special chow mein was fab, lots of veggies, meat and prawns, extremely tasty. My partners chips were a little hard and our buttered bap was hard and quite possibly defrosted from frozen, however overall the food was very nice indeed and good value. We enjoyed it.

Normally fantastic food, tonight very disappointing hardly any sauce with the sweet chilli chicken, you pay for what you get but not tonight.

On holiday and needed a nice Chinese. Read other reviews and placed an order. I can honestly say this was one of the best Chinese meals I have had. The crispy chilli beef was just right not chewy or too hard and chilli was just enough. Special Fried Rice was really nice and meat was perfect. Staff were very helpful as well. Shame we have to go home !!

Ordered house special chow mein and chicken curry pancake rolls egg fried rice. Service delivery and food was all excellent. Would have ordered again this evening but. Unfortunately they are closed for a week.

We had salt and pepper chicken starter and pork satay plain noodles absolutely gorgeous they didn't answer phone so went to order and collect took an hour so bit disappointed with wait but can honestly say it was worth the wait

Fabulous Chinese meal. Enough for 2 days. Chips could do with cooking a little longer, bit soggy unfortunately

The food & service is amazing from Sunny Valley. I love the special vermicelli with prawn toast & sweet & sour dip. Recommended dish. They gave me free prawn crackers too. I will be back. Very clean place too.

The Chinese dishes were very tasty, however, AVOID the Thai menu, probably the worst Green Thai Curry I have ever had. Think neat lime cordial with some peas, raw onion and King Prawns floating in it. A sort of radioactive green sweet soup. No coconut, no kafir lime leaves, no lemon grass no ginger, nothing you would expect in a Thai dish. Salt n pepper chips and salt n pepper squid were very good, bumping the score from 1 star to 3.

Very good curries, soft noodles, egg fried rice where very good! And the pancake rolls where delicious! Went here 3 times during our weeks stay in the valley! And we would really rate this Chinese!😉👌

We ordered a mixed bag of Chinese food and fish & chips and collected after ordering online. The chinese food was very nice, the fish & chips was OK. Nice staff and efficient service.

The staff are here and very friendly and happy. The food is amazing and they will do what they can to help with any allergies or intolerances.

Absolute disgrace, worse Chinese I have had the pleasure to frequent in 50+ years. Placed order for over £50 then told 1 hour wait because of lack of staff in kitchen. Not ideal but thought ok would wait. Then 30 mins later of waiting told they had no beef when 3 of the 4 orders were beef but they had chicken !! Also expensive £12.50 for special curry with half chips & half rice which was only a pound cheaper than ordering full portions of fried rice and chips. Avoid at all cost !

As always, brilliant service. Ordered online and paid for delivery. Arrived on time. Food packed great and hot whilst serving. Best Chinese food around this area by far. Would definitely recommend A +++++

We have had two meals here in the last week, both were fantastic. Basically the best Chinese food we have had for a long time, king po prawns, wow 😁

The food was ok but not a big fan of this restaurant could do with a make over inside as it’s a bit off putting.

Ordered for 7pm delivery.... Its now 8.30 ... Tried to ring... No answer... Usually order frequently but have noticed deliveries getting later and later... A text or something to say they will be late would be appreciated!!!! Bread & butter it is then... Never again will we be ordering from here!!!!

Popped in as we were staying locally. Friendly staff and really tasty Chinese food.

It's many years since I last had a meal from Sunny Valley and my experience that time was not good. But, staying locally, we thought we'd try it again...and couldn't have been more delighted. Phoned the order through with no trouble and picked up as promised about 30 minutes later. Every element of the meal was excellent. I had the Three Treasure in Cantonese for a main and it was loaded with ingredients of the highest quality. My wife had Sweet and Sour Pork and my daughter a Vegetarian dish, and both were equally pleased. We wouldn't hesitate to use Sunny Valley again.

Decent western Chinese food, maybe gpod traditional but thats not what I tried. Filling at reasonable price

Our second visit, great food. Soup very nice. Spring rolls spot on. Meals were delicious: Thai green curry was delicious. Had a special omelette and chips along side. Full of meat. Delicious chicken skewers. Fried rice tasty. All good. Order online and set the time you want to collect. Delivery will be busy as it is a popular place so would recommend picking up yourself.

Food is good. Their online ordering system needs a tweak to cater for their workload on bank Holidays ... 35 mins late with my collectiom order and another person had their home delivery order 90 minutes late and had to collect it themselves.

Never had a bad meal from here, superb choice, good portion size and fairly priced. Can be a bit of a wait at times but this is due to its popularity

We've had Covid in the house all week and decided tonight( Friday) to have a break from cooking. So we ordered a takeaway from Sunny Valley, by Stermat Valley over the phone. They said they delivered and should be there about 40 minutes. They delivered...

Stopped off on a whim as had a long day shopping in Cheshire Oaks. Food was enjoyable (or were we just starving lol). We had sweet and sour chicken cantonese style and crispy shredded beef as good as any others I've had.

My son order's from them alot and is very happy. So much so I made my order tonight... Will update if I think it needs to but I dout that. There good and delivery times been great for us here too... I'm staving now to 👁️👃👁️ Update got food, more than enough for two. Loads left for laiter. And stripped beef was lush. Onion rings to I had over 20.. I'll defo order from here again 10 🌟 if I could 👏👏

We've just had the pleasure of enjoying a Sunny Valley takeaway for our 6th wedding anniversary. The food was very fresh, the crispy rolls really crispy. My husband said it's the best chicken curry he's ever had. Half an hour after eating, the food is still hot! Pleasant staff, gorgeous food, & they deliver to our caravan park - can't wait to have the next one. Diolch/xie xie 4 making our occasion special.

Only had one meal from sun Valley Chinese so far. I'll be hoping to get my second one today. The meal had is fantastic loved it. I have had Chinese's from all over Britain this is the best I have ever had so five stars from me.

Ordered two meals they were excellent came to anglesey in our caravan so took a chance on a takeaway we had never used before will definitely return and would recomend took away their menu to put on caravan sites notice board five stars from us

Oh wow. We had 3 different wet chow meins, house special, 3 treasure noodle and mix veg. All absolutely delicious and plenty of it. Crispy duck and the sharing platter for starters and we can't move now. Definitely recommend it.

20 minute wait for food, wasn't told that until after order was placed and paid for

Great Chinese food with generous portions at a reasonable price. Particularly good crispy duck. Fried rice was a little claggy. Don't take card payments which when covid has got you used to not carrying cash, was a bit of a nuisance.

Chilli chicken was ok, not great but edible at least. We had a bad meal last time we visited and had something missing then too! Thought we would give a second chance a year later but never again
