The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Scotland

Yet another pleasant visit to Stranraer, topped off with a meal at Sun Kai. Couldn't have been better, tastie food and friendly hospitable staff.

We were really looking forward to our meal from Sun Kai as an end of holiday treat....sadly the best thing about the food was the microwave safe containers it came in! Rice was salty and hard, prawns were tough and in awful batter and the chow mein had overcooked noodles and undercooked everything else and was really tasteless. I can't believe it's gone so bad in only a year. We won't be back and if I could give minus stars, I would.

welcoming hotel, great location, secure on-site car parking, great breakfast, great value for money, really friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for you, would definitely recommend + stay again

If you are a vegetarian stay away! I recently ordered a vegetarian dish and found a piece of chicken. This is not acceptable and I was horrified. Please seriously review your cross-contamination measures (if any). Poorly handled when notified. Do not recommend and will not return.

Food is always amazing, can’t fault the service Summer was our server and she made our experience so enjoyable. All the other staff were so friendly as well. Would recommend booking in advance if sitting in as it is always busy but is always great value for money.

Great takeaway, really nice tasty food, good sized portions and reasonably priced. Definitely recommend. Menu has loads of choice.

worse chicken curry i have ever tasted Been eating curries for over 50 year £9 70 for chicken curry and rice mostly curry sauce and onion and bearly any chicken

Very poor munchie box. Dry chips with the occasional shred of onion. Two small chicken balls and some very dry wings. Very disappointed as I had a much nicer one on a previous visit a year ago.

Nice clean front of shop friendly staff portions were plenty food was good my dish the beef and pork were quite chewy rest of the food was good

My fav Chinese! Staff are always lovely. Great menu for vegetarians (salt and chilli tofu is 🔥) and my friends always rave about their non veggie choices. Good portions, reasonable price, quick delivery. Cash only can be inconvenient but it's defo worth it!
