Ellen's Wok in Argyll & Bute

Very poor munchie box. Dry chips with the occasional shred of onion. Two small chicken balls and some very dry wings. Very disappointed as I had a much nicer one on a previous visit a year ago.

The munchie box was incredible. Really tasty, excellent value. We were up for the Islay Jazz festival and picked up a take away to eat on a picnic table overlooking the bay. We arrived just about as soon as they opened and there was a steady stream of customers - always a good sign - and rightly so.

Ribs were tender and the fried rice also highly recommend. If you can't get a table in one of the restaurants this is a great alternative.

Came across this place , as soon as you walk through the door the lady who was serving was very friendly made you feel welcome , the food was beautiful nice and fresh would definitely recommend and will return ,

I requested an off the menu meal (Chicken & Pineapple in Oyster sauce) and the extremely pleasant young woman taking the order was more than obliging and ensured the Chef made it as requested. Thank you so much!!!!! For a small village carry out facility, it certainly produces the goods. All aspects of our meal were beautifully cooked.

Great takeaway located on the front at Port Ellen, good quality food, large portions, fast service and friendly approachable staff.

Fresh and tasty food. We had the veg spring rolls which were delicious, Oyster Chicken, Chicken Curry with fried rice, Spoke to Bev when ordering and she was friendly and helpful …organising our delivery to our motorhome at the beach! Delivery was prompt by a gentleman who had a smile and very polite.
