Food was very nice and was ready quickly, only thing that let it down was the sweet and sour sauce tasted more like tomato ketchup

Best Chinese in Dunoon! The king prawn and chicken fried rice is dry but so much flavour I never even need sauce. Always really fast for delivery and collection. Salt and chilli is also class. Only downside is how often I want to eat it 😂

Called in here when we arrived in Dunoon on our way to our cottage in Colintraive. It was busy, and we were warned of a 20-30 minute wait - but we got served quickly and the wait passed quickly. Food arrived after 20minutes. Travelled on to our cottage and it stayed hot! Really good tasty food. I had Chicken & Broccoli in Oyster sauce with fried rice and my husband had Crispy chicken in a sweet chilli sauce with chips.

Just ordered sweet & sour chicken & never tasted sauce like it tomato sauce knocked stupid wont use again

Visiting from London & ordered a takeaway & wasn’t sure what to expect but this was a top Chinese takeaway. Can recommend the chicken curry & egg fried rice. Large portions, full of flavour & good value for money. Fast delivery & also really nice to deal with on the phone. Would definitely order again if we came back.

Well omg what a lovely meal got a Singapore chow mein beef curry chips and salt n chilli chicken balls portion size was plenty and delivery driver was a lady to hunters quay with the best manners highly recommended

Food in Hong Kong Carry Out is sensational. Card payments or Just eat or similar would be awesome. Cash only can inconvenient trying to get a cash machine to dispense in this town.

Fed 4 of us last night, the meal was phenomenal, everything was cooked to perfection. Top marks to the staff member who took the order, whose telephone manner was a delight. Ordered and in front of us within 20 minutes. 5 stars!

Portions have gotten very small, are mega stingy on the sauce for their fritter puddings and even make you pay for prawn crackers!! What happened to this once excellent Chinese?

Great menu, very reasonably priced and you never have to wait long for your order no matter how busy they are.

Ordered takeaway and really tasty food. Between us we had chicken fried rice, special satay, chicken in peking sauce and duck Thai curry. A few starters too. Made for a lovely family meal in nearby holiday accommodation. Would definitely return on our next visit.

Was out looking for some takeaway as staying near Dunoon for the week and came across this place , staff welcoming, food was made quickly, returned to where we where staying 15 minutes away, food was still hot, and the food was absolutely amazing 5⭐️, will definitely be back when next in Dunoon

Absolutely brilliant. If it werent for some issues with the delivery it would be five stars. Ordered vegetarian singapore noodles and vegetable cashew nut curry and rice. Both were outstanding. A hidden gem, thoroughly recommend.

I have used this Chinese takeaway many times. For different meals. Never had a problem everything is delicious. I recommend them. Yummy.

Just took delivery of our takeaway from Hong Kong in Dunoon, we were delighted with the and quality value of our meal. Delivery guy Paul was quick polite and very friendly. Would highly recommend.

I had heard good things about this place but was disappointed. Service brilliant, food average. My granddaughter was unable to eat her plain noodles as they were smothered in salt. I did message restaurant but got no response. Won't be using again.

Just had a chicken curry with chips and have to say the curry was excellent and chips were ok and loads of them. Only here for a few days so not sure if I can get back but if I'm in Dunoon again I'll sure have another one

I've ordered from here before and all meals were "ok". Tonight they missed off prawn crackers that I asked for and the "sweet and sour sauce" was like cheap tomato sauce. When I phoned to ask them to correct the order they were in denial of their poor service and inedible offerings. As a result they have lost the custom of our household and visitors. In all fairness approx an hour after the rest of the meal was eaten they delivered the prawn crackers and marginally improved sauce.

We used these previously and the food was always ok. However this evening the sweet and sour sauce was just like cheap tomato ketchup. The order had prawn crackers missing. When I phoned to ask them to rectify the order, they were not helpful and denied their failings. Sad really because all previous orders were good

Don't normally do reviews, but they're helpful in tourist areas... Got a great take away whilst staying at Hunter's Quay. One of the nicest beef curries I've ever had, beef was nice and thin, no fat at all, delicious. Wife also enjoyed the chicken & mushroom, it looked plain, but tasted nice

Nice pancake rolls and chilli wings. Noodles were fantastic. Fried rice dish a bit of a let down but not inedible by any stretch.

Dreadfull food dry and tasteless

Just had the worst carry out! Stodgy! Reheated rice! How many times is anyone's guess! & still cold! Sauce was yucky thick sticky Oh & not warm on our main! Prawns just terrible! Don't bother with the free prawn crackers cause they were hours possibly days old! Last carry out from here was bad but this was terrible! That was definitely the làst!

On holiday in Dunoon we fancied a takeaway Chinese and followed the Trip Advisor recommendation which was justified We ordered 2 curries with rice and a portion of chips and didn't eat it all 1 curry rice/chips is more than enough for 2 people Food quality was excellent

Very simple delivery order placed. Location is within 3 mins driving distance. One hour a half hours later the order...

Ordered a carry out for collection. Once collected and got home we discovered the Rice that was included with the dishes was missing. When we called to ask why we were told you have to ask for it. So you ask for something that is included? whats that about? The food is salty and the other Chinese in Dunoon on Argyll street is much better.

Normally enjoy a Chinese from the Hong Kong, ordered a delivery and when It came to the door we questioned the price as it seemed very steep for what we ordered, we calculated it up and noticed we were charged £5 over what it should of came to.... we phoned back up to say about it and to have a cheeky girl over the phone saying it was right, we told her all the food we ordered individually and somehow she could not work out the right cost, after a couple of minutes she realised the mistake she had made and said that they would bring the money we were overcharged by back.... 4 days later we still haven't had anything, so beware about the Hong Kong as either they can't count or they overcharge for extra tips, think we will go to the River Jade in future :)

Although the food was pretty tasty whilst we ate it soon became apparent it's full of MSG and Sugar. 10 minutes after eating both myself and my partner felt ill. As for the prices...arlund 25% to 30% more expensive than most ive been to. Wouldn't recommend.

Telephone manner is great, delivery was fast and under the estimated time given and food is lovely. Prices are a little high but worth it fir the qualify of food. I have also gone in and gotten food here and my order is ready pretty quickly. They are our go to Chinese in Dunoon.

Yo uso el Hong Kong China para llevar a menudo pollo y arroz frito realmente buena y Singapore chow mien es uno de mis favoritos, y creo que me he probado unos cuantos. Es también uno de los pocos que aún te da comprada gratis pan de gambas

I was away for a break in Dunoon and ordered a takeaway. Food was excellent, one of the nicest I have ever tasted!! Delivery was so quick around 10-15 minutes and the food was fresh and really hot. Would definitely recommend.

Rang for a takeaway while on holiday not knowing if they could deliver as we were staying at Hunters Quay holiday village that Has hundreds of caravans and lodges scattered over the hill side but to my surprise it was not a problem if we were prepared to meet them on the car park before the security barriers. Placed my order King prawns salt pepper chicken wings and a couple of mixed and chicken curry with rice and chips we were advised about 20/30 mins wait time, my phone rang 15 min later to say he was coming up the road to the car park. A very polite young man then delivered our piping hot delicious dinner good size portions as good as I have had anywhere and the free prawn crackers was a nice touch.

Was a little worried when we ordered a take out as the restaurant was empty, the lady serving was very friendly, we ordered and only waited a short time, we had a set meal and it was really nice and tasty and lots of food, too much for just two. Good value and very true nice.

Me and my family/friends ordered a large quantity of food for 9 of us and it came within half an hour which was very good. We went for the meal deal at the back which meant we could choose 3 mains and 3 sides for 15.50. We had 3 of these deals and not one dish went to waste as everybody really enjoyed it and also came with 2 bags of prawn crackers. I had the chicken satay dosh with boiled rice which was very tasty and wouldn't definitely recommend going to try it if you love or are near the area.

Food is good. Phone services is awful. The guy on the other end of the phone was clearly more concerned about what was going on around him instead of talking to me! Owners really need to take a look a that. I ordered on a Sunday do try to avoid them.

Hadn't ordered here for a while. We ordered the meal for two and it was delivered quickly. The food was lovely. Chicken curry was lovely and spicy and the sweet and sour was really tasty too.Will definitely order again.

Good take away. Food has always been good when I have visited. It has been there for a long time so well tested! Can always go next door to the puffer while waiting for your food to be cooked!

Bad customer service, sent wrong stuff and resulted in trip to hospital because they didnt listen about food allergy!! Very rude also had waited 2 hours for order to arrive no phone call or explanation as to why it was so late! It looked like something that someone had thrown up!!!

We got takeaway when we were staying at hunters quay. The food was delicious and the portion size was great. Meal was delivered in 25mins which was good as we were hungry. Would defo recommend this Chinese takeaway.

stay away from the hong kong they are trying to poisen you!! KEEP OUT OF THERE GO TO THE River jade it is lovely and expencive so don't go all the time but is good Quility food

I have always been Hong Kong loyal since I've lived in Dunoon the service in here is always very friendly and they give you prawn crackers while you are waiting for your meal. My particular favorite dish is the chicken and cashew nuts the chicken just melts in your mouth. So delicious!

we ordered a huge range on one visit and everything was really tasty - haven't had Chinese food from other places in dunoon so not sure how it compares but against other cities and locations it was amongst the tastiestwould be back if we were local - reasonably priced to
