Lucky ho in Falkirk

I normally buy the best beef curry from lucky-ho in Camelon Falkirk (my opinion) but I decided to try there special fried rice with gravy , I was gob smacked when it got delivered to see what I got for what I only paid, the rice looked beautiful and it was fill to the brim with all sorts prawns ,ham, duck then there was little medallions of chicken and pork ,duck with an egg it just said eat me before I go cold the gravy just complemented everything, truly supper tasty filling meal top marks to Lucky -Ho chef scrumptious truly scrumptious,😋👌👏👏👏👏👏

Ordered all delivered very quickly large portions and tasty would recommend

Friendly enough but the food wasn't great.

I've got to say for a meal box what a food get it's little spicy 🥵 if like it spicy and it's so tasty 😋 and it's lovely cheap telly yi half Chinese is ripping people off but not lucky ho got to say best Chinese I've had in long time

Ordered online. 50 min wait on delivery but didn't arrive, no phone call or email. Called the shop just said busy and just leaving the shop right now. 1hr 45min in and still nothing, called again got me mixed up with someone else shouldn't be too long now. Told them not to bother as messing me around.

Food is always amazing! Never had an issue with lucky ho. It’s definitely my favourite Chinese in Falkirk.

It was pretty good. We got hot and sour soup, fried rice and chilli beef. We enjoyed it all. This Chinese takeaway have much better prices than some of the others in the area.

I ordered chicken in lemon sauce am sorry but chicken was burnt and rice was even funny tasted as a customer that has used lucky ho from time when it first opened don't know what's happened but this wasn't the first bad meal but am afraid it will be last sorry lucky ho.well said a wouldn't be back but ordered tonight may holiday managed to eat tonight but chicken dry, only 3 pineapples and very very little orange sauce not enough to cover chicken so now left with plate of very dry fried rice sorry lucky ho your not doing good in my eyes at the moment

Great food and great service a good menu to pick from the shop is clean the staff are friendly and helpful and polite u get take away or come in to the shop or pick up the staff make the food the way u like it it the best meats and good size portions I would recommend the lucky ho !

Great local Chinese takeaway always pleasant

Rice looked rlly burnt also tasted a bit off, the delivery took like 2 hours and was rlly cold when arrived.

Been here a few times now, and can honestly say we have no complaints, we were served quickly, the food was fresh, hot, and tasty, we would not hesitate to recommend, it also has ample parking.

Delicious top quality food and the staff are very friendly, definitely recommend.

Food is amazing and the chicken curry spring roll is a must try

Orderd online and picked up 20 minutes later. Every dish we ordered (5 different ones plus rice/noodles as sides) were lovely. Food was hot, good quality and tasted delicious. Portions were big so actually ordered too much, will change this for next time.

Best Singapore chow mien in Falkirk or anywhere. Only downside is they used to jam pack the container full but now it’s slightly emptier. Still tasty though

ordered takeaway whilst staying at premier inn. cooked fresh and ready for collection within 30 minutes. Very nice food, large portions and reasonably priced I would recommend when in the area.

Not once have I ever had bad food from the Lucky Ho. The delivery service is always excellent and I just can't fault this place. I've been using it for years.

Plenty choices and a good selection of vegetarian dishes. Just ask while placing your order and they will tweak you dish to the way you would like it! Great staff and brilliant delivery drivers.

First time trying this takeaway, food was really good, as good as our local Chinese. Would defo go back again!

We both visited this Chinese takeaway restaurant whilst passing through, staff were very pleasant and the premises appeared to be very clean, after a short wait we were served very quickly, the food was very good, the curry was a bit more hot than other takeaways, but nevertheless very tasty, I'm sure we will be back.

We are visiting the area and staying in a difficult to find location. We ordered for delivery and had to call a couple of times to help the driver to find us. They were most helpful and patient. When the food arrived it was nice and hot still. The driver was even happy to leave the food and we called the shop back to pay over the phone after it had been delivered. Very happy to leave a positive review.

Nice prawn toast, and mail meal, chicken in a spicy hoi sin sauce. Not very spicy

Ordered beef curry, got home and what I got was a tray more than half full of onions, and seven bits of beef ham, one bit I could not even chew Phoned them! but not interested, said they had sold plenty and no one else had complained. This was always a great Chinese takeaway but they cant get away ripping people of, so that's why I am posting this.Also there is no minimum meat content in Chinese takeaways ! so open to abuse, as in this case!

The Lucky Ho was recommended to me by a friend. I have consistently found the food to be very tasty and hot. Lovely staff on phone and delivery. Cannot beat this restaurant and I have tried lots in Falkirk area. First rate.

Needed quick bite to eat. Lady at counter was helpful and food was good. Would recommend it if you are in the area. Its better than its rival Yang sing just opposite the road.

Have been using this place for a good few years now and never had a bad meal. I found the all the staff very friendly. And when having it delivered it always arrived on time.

I didn't visit tonight as it says however I have used this place loads of times and so far I have never been disappointed with anything I ordered

I was in Falkirk for the night and fancied a takeaway. It is everything i expected. I had special fried rice and spring rolls. All tasted as expected and were hot. What more can i say.

The staff are very cheeky and can be very rude, they do not apologise when they are in the wrong. The place has gave us the wrong food multiple times, i am also allergic to carrots and i always ask for without and alot of the time they have gave us out order with carrots, they then expected us to keep the food that i am allergic to in the house until they came to collect an hour later, by that time we would’ve obviously put the food in the bin. I would not recommend this chinese as they will put a damper on youre night!!

Have never had a bad meal from here and have used Lucky Ho since it opened, until tonight, ordered Sweet and sour chicken for myself and grand daughter,when I got home with it and opened,it the sauce was so thick and gloopy that you could not mix it into the rice and slid off the chicken and no taste whatsoever of sweet and sour. More went into food bin than was eaten. On this occasion I was really disappointed in food.

It seems small but it's a buffet and they always have what you want, or will make it fresh if they run out. Great family favourite.

Mrs Ho has finally retired. The new owners are keeping the name alive and also keeping the tradition of fine chinese food alive. Is the food as good as the old owners was, is the big question? Well, its not as superb as before, but its still better than almost all the rest in the Falkirk area, so it still merits a 5 star rating.

Great food. Chinese takeaway only! The staff are friendly and polite. The deliveries usually take up to an hour as this place is usually very busy. I would definitely give it five stars out of five.

Ordered a chicken ( breast) curry and fried rice and it was delicious! After a string of rotten takeaways recently im so pleased ive found somewhere that does quality ingredients ! Would deffo recommend!

I am allergic to MSG and they give me food with it not in. Applies to limited menu but means I can have Chinese which I love. Good value great food recommended

Ordered large family & friends take away on New Years Eve, was ready in 20 mins and the dishes were all really good. Large portions, loads of vegetables and meat. Crispy chilli beef and chicken by far the best. Yummy.

The food and the service from the Lucky Ho are both top notch. Didn't need to wait too long and it was great stuff. Recommend for a good grade of standard 'Chinese' fare.

Situated in Camelon nr Falkirk, this takeaway service is second to none, no sit in fasciitis delivery only , family run for many years it has a great reputation in the area for their food. Food is first class and piping hot , good sized portions and cooked fresh from order , at weekend it's so popular that waiting is inevitable, so phone early opens 4.30 till late , would recommend Lucky Ho as I have done to friends and neighbours, see you Saturday!!!

This was our first visit to this take away and at first from the outside it looked a bit rundown and when we were inside we were worried at first as we were the only customers. Granted it was 9pm on a Thursday night...however shortly after entering and looking a the menu, another 4 customers came in to place orders.We waited on our order as it was being cooked and this felt like no time at all. When we got home we tucked into our meal - I ordered Chicken Pineapple with boiled rice and it was delicious . I tried my boyfriends meal of beef curry, however I found this to be greasy and gelatinous although the beef was a good quality. Also the spring roll starter was quite greasy and the filo pastry thick.They were slightly inflexible with the menu for example there is an option of salt and chilli ribs and they were unwilling to swap to salt and chilli chicken.

I've had many a carry out from this place and each time it has been excellent. I cant offer the best dish as I have had so many and each was great.

Always friendly, and more importantly always tasty food at the Lucky Ho. We have always had generous portions, and have never been disappointed with what we order. Sometimes at weekends it is very busy, slo either phone order in or be prepared for a wait.

Great place for a meal if your on Weightwatchers diet.........the portions are tiny, full of sauce & veg but very little meat. Not happy, wouldn't recommend & certainly wont be back, plenty of others in the area to choose from. Shame as it used to be very good, has gone downhill.

Just got in before closing time but what they gave me as a takeaway was disgusting ordered chilli shredded chicken and got dried chewy chicken even the batter was chewy with rice cool yet still stuck together, I microwaved it because it obviously had been kept lukewarm for some time and even if I'm eating cultured food I prefer it not to be with bacteria. I'm sorry chicken you died in vain, whatever you did in a previous life I'm sure you deserved better than this, bad enough the way you were reared and least they could have made you edible.

Never had a bad meal nor heard a bad comment in all the years I've eaten from the lucky Ho at least (15 years) Probably more. Ask for Deep fried chili chicken. Enough said :)

Phone order, when my husband collected the food he was told they did not do the sauce I wanted and gave him gravy sauce which I loathe, had I wanted that sauce I would have ordered it, they should have said on the phone they did not do this then I would have went else where, my stupid husband paid for it and the lot went in the bin. Wont be back sneaky sneaky way to get you in the door and the money out your pocket!!!!!
