Yang Sing Buffet Restaurant in Falkirk

Has gone really downhill. Need to up game. Understand Beijing Banquet has taken most of the trade locally. However, as quiet, food not good as seems to have been sitting on the buffet for hours.

The staff is friendly food was great they even was willing to cook fresh stuff for us would come again

Me and my hubby are staying in Callander for wk n found this buffet place on google so decided to try it today food was perfect and service was very good to . Very clean place and worth its money and no to expensive eather definitely recommend it

Great food and amazing customer service. We were staying at the Premier Inn down the road and were looking for somewhere to eat and came across this gem. There was so much variety to choose from and they were really accommodating with us. A few in our household have allergies and the waitress took a lot of time explaining which dishes contained the allergens and even offered to have fresh ones cooked for us without them in. Absolutely brilliant customer service. Would highly recommend.

First visit here as it is the closest buffet restaurant in the area. Place was not busy but the food was really good. A good choice of foods and everything I had was fresh and well cooked. The only thing that let it down was the dessert section. Really really basic but we are planning to return soon.

Really decent food. Not massive selection but all dishes were very tasty. Friendly waiting staff and kiddo got his own children plate and cutlery which was very nice. Highly recommend!

Excellent choices available in every dish

We ate here for the first time yesterday. The welcome was warm and nice and the staff were really nice and pleasant. The food was great and we will definitely return in the future. If I had to tidy a negative I'd say I would have liked a wider range of foods but what was there was more than adequate. Restaurant was clean and toilets were spotless.

The food is honestly fantastic, constantly good. This was our third time visiting and taking our children this time as we knew it was something they'd be able to eat. The flavours and quality of the food are delicious. Alway fresh and cooked perfectly, nothing burnt. Staff regularly filling everything up and clearing tables. It is such a lovely relaxing restaurant to enjoy lunch or dinner. Love the extras for the children.

Found at random by Google search after a long days walking in Callendar Park. Recently i have had some bad experiences with poor quality food at world buffets in Glasgow. No such problems here at Yang Sing. Everything about this place was good on the night. Decor is modern, bright, with easy access to buffet trays display area. Service is excellent, used plates are removed quickly. The lovely girl serving us was so helpful and friendly, recommending dishes to us. She has great customer service skills. Buffet charge on a weekday was £15.99. You get a lot for your money, there is a huge choice of quality items. So a great pot luck visit for us. Happy to return when in Falkirk🤗

We got seated quickly and were happy with service however we were not informed of the cash only policy and half our party had to hang about while others went for cash. This really spoiled our experience considering we could've been made aware going in. No signs on the doors explaining either.

i’m not one to complain about food right,, but this place is horrible i went for my dinner as a nice night out with my friend for my birthday and not even 10 min after leaving the place i was sick everything back up and im not ill in my bed days later still being sick, most likely food poisoning and the place looked like it could do with a very good deep clean!

The food was OK and that's being generous. There wasn't a big selection to choose from. The place was freezing cold when we visited. Looks like it could do with a good clean as well. No hot water in the toilets. And it's cash only or bank transfer to a personal bank account...hmm

I took my wife here for lunch as part of our wedding anniversary . I checked it was open along with menus etc before travelling the 30 miles distance . Upon arrival it was closed , we sat outside in the car for over half an hour , I then called several times and there was no answer . According to the opening hours this place was to be open that day .

I'm not the biggest fan of buffet dining. However this place gets it right. Great variety of food, plenty of it and the staff are really nice. Good parking too.

Was greeted at door to be told ot was bank transfer or cash, was a youg lady that showed us to or 5able very pleasant bit over power though kept coming up to our table which was annoying, meal was ok but some off it was cold also banana fritters were soggy drinks first coke was ok second taste like there was bleach in it, then goes to pay the guy think he was owner I said why not taking card told me it was the chargers for a small business well usually these places can afford for people to pay with card!!! Been there in won't be bck

Food is fairly good, nothing amazing but everything i tried was ok. Huge range of starters at the buffet and large selection of desserts (mostly just frozen supermarket cakes) Staff were all really friendly. It is cash only for payment. I've uploaded a picture of there current prices. I thought it was a bit overpriced as been to much better buffets for same price or less

Food was good not Amazing but it's a buffet so you don't think it's going to be Michigan star grade

Arrive at 2pm then you can dine for £13.95. Arrive at 3.10 and it goes up to £18.95. unless you can eat in 20 minutes as dinner commences at 3.30. A costly £10 per couple extra on a Sunday. Not worth it at all. The chicken was hard and the fillet steak was like rubber. The soup was tasteless. Some of the starters were tasty and a lovely fresh salad. Asked for a banana fritter one tiny one left no effort to offer another. Noodles and rice very nice. Just not worth the money at all will not be back. The Staff were very nice can't fault that.

Delicious, all three of us left absolutely stuffed. The dessert, which was included in the price, was amazing as well to top it all off. Highly recommend.

Loved this place when I was younger, hadn’t visited in years. Then on this day took a notion. I wonder if it’s still open. And to my gleeful joy it was! But alas this is where the nostalgia stopped. Food excellent, small choice of well prepared food. Shame there wasn’t more of a selection but saying that the choices were the standard “popular” dishes that were delicious. I cannot fault our waitress, she was polite and attentive. Made the kids laugh and was overall a joyful person. The place seams to me and my wife “run down” it’s the same decor, same seating arrangements. The greeter at the door was building ikea shelves as we entered and left. The food labels markers need replaced. The signage outside was filthy and the greenery needs major attention. Overall the food and staff are great, it’s the building and attention to details that make a place lacking.

It's a buffet so self serve but staff there if you need them. Food options good variety. Reasonable price.

Very expensive for the quality of the food. 2 service but only one was working other one just standing leaning on the bar looking into space.

Staff couldn't do enough the range of food on offer was extensive and well topped up and staff asked if there was anything else we fancied and offered to cook fresh all round a great all round experience..

For a Saturday night was dead great service all staff were lovely very friendly. Food was good kids have asked to go back!!

Excellent food, attentive staff, we were a large party, 7 adults and 2 children, and a baby, but nothing was too much trouble, the food was hot and not overcooked and the desserts were lovely.

I was stunned to see previous reviews of negativity for Yang Sing, so I took the opportunity to have a visit. The food is tremendous. No change from my last visit over a year ago. Food put out is freshly cooked and topped up fresh when near to cold (not near to empty). The staff are welcoming and very helpful and provided a clean & secure highchair for my daughter. I recommend Yang Sing - whether it be a daily Munch or pop in for something different. Ask for the waitress Banana (in house nickname lol) she's wonderful and very helpful. 5 out of 5 stars all the way.

The staff were very friendly and attentive and engaged well The food was basic as you would expect for a buffet during the week, a staff member said that the menu was better at the weekend. Six people and a baby were the only customers on the afternoon that I attended. Although the food was generally good there was a problem with the soup in as much that there was very little chicken in both types, other than that it was ok . The toilets were very clean as you would expect, worth a visit.

Visited just after lunchtime today, staff were amazing and attentive, knew allergen information really well. Food was as youd expect from a chinese restaurant, very nice and full of flavour and replenished regularly, desserts were also lovely. Although the highlight for us was definitely the gravy sauce, followed by charsiu pork and all of the chicken dishes. quite a large selection of starters and desserts. petit fours were available too however we were so full we skipped the coffee and them.

Lovely buffet, workers are very polite and hard working, food is also amazing although it's small choice range, you won't be disappointed by the quality and taste!

Not much of the food choice + they charged me extra £2 for service(?) which they didn't even ask for. Disgraceful.

The variety of dishes on offer wasn't too bad, but what was there were either dried out or the the sauces were congealed. Only the rice was of any decent standard. The staff were efficient and friendly. The restaurant itself is getting very tired and would benefit from refurbishment. 2 x adult buffet and 2 soft drinks cost £41. No value there unless you just want to fill your plate and stuff your face.

Very polite and nice staff. Most of the food tasty (above average). Wide variety of meats, only 3 seafood dishes (on Sunday), but of good quality. Very, very few vegetarian options. Quite unfortunate as I had one food deviant with me and she didn't find many options for herself. Clean restrooms, but the dining area could be a bit cleaner.

This was the fifth or sixth time i've been to Yang Sing & before, i found the food 'ok', a 3 out of 5 but, as it was a buffet & cheaper than other restaurants, i was happy to go back & visit. Well yesterday we planned on going to Cotton House (Bonnybridge) but hadn't reserved a table & place was packed. We decided to go to Yang Sing & i was very pleasantly surprised. I immediately noticed they had freshened the place up, the variety of food on display popped out in appearance & colour. It looked a proper buffet (in the past it looked more plain.) I didn't recognise any of the staff, it was 6 months since last visit so i don't know if its new owners. I found the staff to be smiley, warm & attentive. It felt different from previous visits. The food on my visit was excellent. The Salt & Pepper Chicken was awesome & had a Maryland style crisp coating & tasted fresh. Everything tasted as if it was just out the kitchen. Anytime a tray of food emptied they brought more out within a couple of minutes. We went at 1pm on a Wednesday so maybe thats a good time to get your lunch freshly cooked. Ive seen reviews saying batter was soggy but if you go at 3pm or something they can't throw out the warm food in trays & fry a new batch just for you, it's a buffet & its a tenner, what do people expect! A Large Whopper Meal costs a tenner! I'll definitely not be waiting 6 months till i go again, i'll probably return before end of March, 1 week away. 5 stars for food, service & ultimately Value!

Just had a meal at 'Yang Sing' in Camelon in Falkirk. Although it was pretty quiet tonight(I suspect due due to Bad weather and flooding which even had ducks breaking out their umbrellas' and wellies ) food was plentiful, hot and very tasty. On entry we received a really friendly greeting from the staff before being escorted to a table which was clean, comfortable and in a lovely warm place. Decor was done to a good standard and tables were clean and well covered, there was quite a few staff in the restaurant despite a night when fish could be swimming along the roads and down the drains due to the flooding, the staff on duty were friendly and very attentive. To start we ordered drinks which were delivered within a couple of minutes and then given ample time to help ourselves from the well-stocked buffet. Whilst we were enjoying our meal some of the staff took the time to talk to us, and all were very polite and helpful(Special Shoutout to our favourite Server Ankie(Sorry about spelling) anyway she is very polite, helpful & funny). Can't compliment staff enough, they genuinely seemed interested in us and made sure we were enjoying our meal, cleared dirty plates quickly and anything we asked was done quickly efficiently and always with a smile.(i.e. Mrs R asked if cream jug could be refilled which was done in seconds). Been here before and always enjoyed it, we find there is a good variety of food including soups(with bread and real butter not any of that half-hearted spread pretending to be butter). Main meals catering to various pallets and of course a large selection of sweets(absolutely loved The Victoria Sponge tonight). Being 'Fat Gitts' Me and 'Mr R' junior couldn't resist various visits to the sweet area and the only thing that stopped us trying every sweet on menu was realization of our gluttony. Will definitely be back.

Very disappointing food was mediocre at best most of it was cold the batter on everything was soggy. Most of the meat was tough. The peking spare ribs were tasty . Puddings were very small and cheesecake was still frozen. Chocolate mint chip ice cream was nice.

Absolutely brilliant restaurant, Been going here a while every week and the food is absolutely fantastic, the service from the staff is amazing, affordable and Great tasting, alot of vegetarian options, wheelchair accessible, child friendly and has there very own parking, wouldn’t think twice to recommend to others x

Always stop off here when I visit up the road. We used to stay in falkirk and love taking the kids,they especially like the dessert bit 😋

Recently had a works dinner ,staff were very attentive even when some got overly loud ,food was warm and a large variety

We recently visited the Yang Sing Restaurant and were a bit disappointed the chicken noodle soup was all noodles and stock no chicken. Also certain items in the buffet had not been replaced when the trays were empty or nearly empty. One dish which was supposed to be mussels and mixed vegetables was all vegetables the mussels had all been eaten but no-one had rectified this. Even when I commented on it to a member of staff. The second time I went up to the buffet it was still exactly the same. Having said this there was plenty of choice and the food was hot.

Pink chicken today and the chips were under cooked. We did tell them and they took the tray away but by then it was almost empty. Still ended up costing up over £90! Won’t be back. Shame, it used to be really good.

Last few times i've been there, the satay chicken (the absolute best thing Yang Sing does) has not been there.

Brilliant if you love chinese and can benefit from the price. If you have kids tht really don't wat alot you would be cheaper getting a takeaway just due to quantity tht kids eat. Staff very friendly and attentive

Nice place, good people and decent, reliable food.

There was not a great choice of food - and made error in not realising it was all you could eat buffet for two small eaters - only had one course so turned out a very expensive (£40) bad value meal.

We have been several times recently for a meal at different times of the day and never had any complaints about the food or staff. Today it was after 2pm we went in for a late lunch and the food was hot and tasty.

Loved this place however food has went downhill afternoon buffet not worth the money
