The best restaurants serving Chinese food in South West

Ordered take away at 6pm and was told there was a backlog and our order wouldn't be ready until 8.15pm which was fine by us. We turned up at 8.15pm to pick up the order and at 8.30 were told that they had given our order to someone else and we could wait for the other person to bring it back if we want or they could cook it fresh which would take another 20 minutes. Obviously we asked for it to be cooked fresh because we don't know when or who took our order and when they are coming back with it. It was 8.56pm when we finally got our food.

Delivery available, easy to arrange. Order by phone for simplicity and confidence. Food we had was great, although a previous order had been a bit ‘chewy’. Two rices, veg and blackbeans, beef with ginger/shallots, chicken+green veg. Singapore Chow me in is quite spicey. All yummy. Delivered right on time.

**Great Wall Restaurant, Salisbury** Our usual Chinese takeaway was closed due to a fire, so after hearing great things about The Great Wall in Salisbury from friends, we decided to give it a try. Although we pre-ordered our food, we still had to wait 20 minutes for it to be ready. When we got home, the food was reasonably hot. At first glance, it looked appealing and smelled decent. However, as we started serving it, we noticed how greasy everything was. We initially brushed this off, thinking that Chinese food can sometimes be a bit greasy. Unfortunately, after just a few bites of my Chicken Chow Mein, I had to stop eating because it was overwhelmingly greasy and ended up throwing it away. My partner had the Singapore special fried rice with curry sauce, and he also had to stop eating and discard his meal. Both of us are now feeling queasy from the excess fat and saltiness in our dishes. It’s a shame because the reviews suggest that this is a good restaurant and it was quite busy. We also had positive recommendations from friends. However, I suppose it depends on what you’re accustomed to. Our regular Chinese food is never this greasy, and we've never ended up throwing it away. Unless you're used to this level of greasiness, I would recommend finding another place to eat.

was £5 for full english breakfast was not had to pay extra tomatos or black pudding to bee added and bread felt stale 2 slice ,no frien bread opition ,could have brought what eat for about £1.75 in a local supermarket .dont get me started on tea prices worlds gone mad on them

My partner and I came for dinner and we had a fantastic experience. The service was quick and very friendly and the food was so delicious. We also had two of the cocktails which were so cute and well presented and very tasty.

Absolutely gorgeous food. Everything was hot & tasty. We used this takeaway last year while on holiday & had been looking forward to another meal from there. We were not disappointed!!!! Really reasonable prices too. Fast service. We will visit again next week before going home.

Très bon rapport qualité-prix,personnel charmant. Les plats choisis( sushis, nouilles au poulet et poulet curry) étaient copieux et très bons.

As undergraduate students who have recently come from India an year ago we struggled finding good Indian food in the UK. I come from Punjab and my friend from Maharashtra, We initially struggled finding good Indian food that we both liked. We tried our luck in London, Reading and Bristol for Indo-Chinese. But Lama is the closest we have come to that reminds us of food back home. Everytime we feel a bit home sick we just pay a visit. Absolutely recommend it. Must give it a try.

Fabulous extensive menu. Lovely friendly staff. Prices very reasonable. Visited here twice when stopping in Sturminster Newton. Food came piping hot and delicious. Would recommend it most highly.

Great little place, excellent Dim Sum, though limited options. Staff were very good. It's not the type of place you go to for a lovely relaxing lunch, it's ideal if you're in town and fancy a good dim sum, well cooked and tasty and not expensive at all

Después de haber viajado mucho a la India, comido su increíble comida, el Reino Unido nunca ha sido capaz de replicar y he buscado alto y bajo un auténtico restaurante / comida para llevar. Yo diría que esto podría incluso superar la mejor comida que he comido en Mumbai. Gente realmente deliciosa y encantadora. Mi hija dijo que fue la mejor comida que ha tenido. Teníamos el Thali y lo recomiendo encarecidamente para que pueda obtener una prueba de todos los platos hermosos. Mi único deseo es que abran otro en Chippenham.

A simple eatery with melamine table tops. Everyone who sits down is immediately presented with water and hot tea. The two course vegan lunch consisted of a small bowl of hot and sour soup followed by a vast choice of mains most of which are soy meat with a choice of white or brown rice, served in a takeaway pack so what you can't manage you can take home. Service was fast and efficient and the food was well seasoned and piping hot. This well established restaurant is clearly providing a community service through its large nutritious and reasonably priced meals.

The quality of ingredients and the care and attention taken to create exceptional food, full of flavour and authenticity. The quality never changes and this ensures that every visit results in maximum satisfaction. I don't write reviews unless the quality is exceptional and this Takeaway never fails to deliver on quality and taste. Don't take my word try this amazing Takeaway.

What a gem! We stayed from 5-12 Aug- 4 adults and 2 children ages 7 and 10. The cottage is next to the river Frome- we saw Swans, a heron, water voles, ducks, moorhens, butterflies and bats! Great for us townies! The cottage , although old in exterior, is full of mod cons in interior. It should be noted that we stayed in the ‘heatwave’ and the cottage was so cool! The kitchen is fab, so well equipped- chefs would have a field day! The little patio outside has a charcoal bbq and extra chairs/loungers- this leads to a narrow riverside garden. The lounge is so comfortable, with a smart tv - Netflix etc… upstairs, 3 bedrooms, a smaller truckle bedroom ( 2 single beds, if required) a double bedroom and a fab king size bedroom with a compact en suite. Also upstairs is the family bathroom with free standing bath and separate shower. The Welcome pack was the best ever… Prosecco, milk, bread, chutney, butter, sweets for the kiddlies, chew for our Cava-Jack terrier. It was well equipped with toilet rolls, dishwasher tabs, washing machine tabs, fairy liquid and hand wash- never known this before! This is mainly down to Clare, the next door housekeeper, who is friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. The local chip shop ( 2 doors up) is open on a Thurs/Fri snd the pub, the Chalk and Cheese is a very “locals” pub, serving ‘pub grub’ we were made welcome one night when we enjoyed a meal There is a lovely park next to the Village hall/ cemetery, that our grandkids loved. Would recommend trips to corfe castle on the steam train from Swanage, Lyme Regis and Mudeford. A fab week.would definitely recommend this holiday home.
