In the past 3 months I've had take-out from The Sushi Bar 4 or 5 times; usually once a week when I'm working in the area. The place is very clean, you can see the kitchen and the food being prepared fresh from the restaurant. My food has been ready within a few minutes of ordering and I enjoy the sushi rolls, though I tried the Katsu Curry Chicken this week and that was nice also. Even though I've not dined-in the restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the staff are really friendly recognising me on my return so I feel like a regular after just half a dozen visits.

In 2022 this was a quiet hotel restaurant with a small menu of fresh produce, and we had a really nice meal there. Returning to Wells, we booked again and found that it had changed. The menus are along the lines of bar food (with a "grazing" section). On a Tuesday evening, it was very busy with a couple of large groups, and we were warned that there might be a delay in service. The service was fine, food was basic pub fare, the best bit was the surprise of finding Esporão Monte Velho branco on the wine list. £100 including gratuity.

The most unappetising "Chinese" food we've eaten. It wasn't cheap but it was almost inedible. Very little flavour in the Singapore noodles. We won't be bothering again

Never again. Used to order from here all the time, but after the last time I won’t be again. First of all- replace the person on the phone, she is without doubt the rudest person I’ve ever encountered and not the brightest spark either. Ordered Salt and Pepper chips amongst other items, when arrived it was just plain soggy chips. Phoned up and explained that I had been given plain chips, not salt and pepper- said the same thing 4 times. 3 times politely and then quite irritated. You would have thought I was trying to explain a maths equation in Swahili. The girl spoke perfect English there was no language barrier, just pure rudeness. She kept repeating ‘what do you mean plain?’ telling me I was wrong and I need to look in the box, that I need to ‘look for the peppers and onions’ then proceeded to go and tell the chef off the phone that I was complaining and she didn’t know what to do as I was wrong and ‘just not looking’ (yes I could hear you) It got to the point where I had to explain what she could offer, either the correct order delivered or my money back. I told her she can take the chips physically back to see I’m not ‘lying’ and if that was Salt and Pepper they were awful and not worth the price as they had no seasoning, no vegetables. They were just plain chips. The black bean curry was horrendous anyway so spicy you couldn’t eat it and I sent the whole thing back and binned the new chips. Customer service non-existent. 0/10 don’t bother!

Prices are very reasonable. With less salt requested, they can cook foods with little salt. Fried Shirmp E noodles is excellent. Quantity of shrimps was very generous. Fried bean spouts and fried vege are normal. With No broccoli in the mixed vege was disappointed. Plain omelette with fries is ok. Massive hand made spring rolls were given as free. Very nice but salty, but with lots of bean spouts inside, we know that they have to do like this. If not, it will be stinky very soon. Si Chuan Chicken was totally different from then original one. Maybe because the boss come from southern part of China instead of the south west. He was so nice and introduced the attractions in Glastonbury. He do speak Cantonese too.
