The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Manchester North West

We decided to go for a Chinese as we headed home from Manchester. Water Lilly came up on google and we weren’t disappointed. We were greeted by friendly staff and were taken to our table without delay. The food was fantastic and reasonably priced. The three of us that went, including our 5 year old son, loved the food. Especially the char siu bao buns and variety of dim sum. Water Lilly ticked all of the boxes and we will be sure to return in the near future. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good Chinese restaurant in the Chorlton area.

Perfect every time we go. I’ve lived in the area for around 3 years and Gordon’s was highly recommended by a friend, I stupidly didn’t go for at least a year, but once I did try it I refuse to go elsewhere. The staff are always lovely too, very kind and communicative.

Ordered my takeaway at 6:30pm and it arrived at 9pm. When I phoned the restaurant they said it was their fault as the restaurant was busy. Awful service. I will never eat here again.

Booked months ago to eat gefore going to see Hayley Ellis perform at the Frog and Bucket next door. I had a starter of chicken satay skewers and my husband had prawns in rice paper. Both were delicious but my goodness the prawn dish was just superb. Then he and I shared Crispy beef in sweet chilli sauce and we also shared egg fried rice and soft noodles with my sister and her husband who had the chicken version. We all agreed it was the best we had ever had. The specials on the board were written in Chinese, so obviously we hadnt ordered them but oh my goodness, they looked superb when they came out for the next table... so we asked (for next time!) Oyster stew - and then a lobster dish that both looked and smelled spectacular. Will definitely go back again. 😌

Brilliant value, wonderful ingredients and large portions. The food is incredibly tasty and you get to build your own dish choosing from a variety of noodles, protein (including chicken, king prawns and tofu among others), vegetables, sauces and sprinkles. Starters and sides are often used as excuses to fleece customers but not here. The sesame prawn toasts had a generous quantity of prawns and was a good sized portion for sharing. Well worth collecting yourself to enjoy the 10% discount and seeing the care the chefs take in the spotless open plan kitchen. An affordable treat and we intend to return on a regular basis. and explore new combinations that also include rice dishes. Thank you.

Wow , the food from this take out is amazing ! Big portions , freshly cooked , tasty , good ingredients , I can't fault it. The best chinese take out I've had and I'm very fussy haha , even better than some of Manchesters China Town restaurants I've been too , DELICIOUS

Esta casa de curry es la mejor de Manchester manos abajo. Llevo más de 8 años haciendo pedidos a este establecimiento y solo ha mejorado (algunos cómo 👌) Realmente es un gran establecimiento de comida. Buena comida. Gran relación calidad-precio y siempre llega caliente. No podría recomendarlos más!

always love it here, great for birthday celebrations the singapore vermicelli is really nice but it’s not for people who don’t like spicy food

Obviamente no era el cliente que realmente querían - yo era un comedor individual - así que me sentaron en una mesa horrible en una esquina cerca de la cocina. La señora que trató conmigo fue súper antipática hasta el punto de que me vi tentada a irme. No lo hice porque tenía hambre. Un par de servidores eran más amigables, pero en su mayor parte ella estableció el tono. Tenía algunas costillas de repuesto que estaban bien y luego un plato de pollo / ajo que también estaba bien (glutinous describiría mejor la salsa) y también tomé una cerveza pequeña. Pagué £ 40 que imo no es muy valioso, especialmente dada la falta de compromiso del personal. No volveré a ir - pero estaba lleno, así que tal vez las mesas de más de uno obtengan una mejor experiencia - quién sabe🤷‍♀️

Really terrible food. I bought some chicken wings which I physically couldn’t eat as they were slimey, taste horrid and bad quality meat. The food is also hugely overpriced. Really unfortunate - I wish the food was good as it’s a great spot.
