The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Islington London

Gran tofu salteado. Muy fresco Chef obligatorio y servicio alegre. Porciones generosas. Buena mezcla de verduras allí y perfectamente sazonada. Arroz bien cocido. Solo 6 cada uno y rodajas de naranja de cortesía en nuestra comida para llevar. Nos sentamos en una puerta a la vuelta de la esquina y realmente disfrutamos de esta comida improvisada antes del ballet en Sadlers Wells a solo un par de cientos de años más adelante. Pide comida vegana y te acomodarán.

Quality of the food was good. One of the better Chinese restaurants in the area. Unfortunately my order was delivered to the wrong address (!!) so I didn’t have any food after 1 hour 45 minutes - fortunately my neighbour still had the food and hadn’t touched it yet… Not sure how the driver managed to do that. But in the end my food was tasty and the restaurant were apologetic. So overall I would recommend.

15+ years I’ve been using them. They never let me down. Food is ace and the delivery is ALWAYS early.

Amazing Dim Sum. Especially the coriander one. Fresh, homemade and beautiful dim sum. Fantastic service too.

Special curry, the meat was so hard you could not cut, it was replaced with a chicken curry with the meat equally tough. However, the salt and pepper squid was lovely as was the pancake rolls, such a shame the people are lovely.

I cannot believe that they are still trading. I have been eating Chinese food for 46 years & this is right at the bottom of the list. I will get straight to the point, the food was not fresh. I threw £33 in the dustbin.

If I had a disappointing meal I wouldn’t generally feel the need to leave a review, but this was so bad I just feel pissed off and need to warn others from ordering from here. Truly the worst takeaway I’ve had in my life. Complete waste of money. Tofu so salty it was inedible, completely clarted in thick, congealed grease, so much so it had the same texture as squid. Avoid this place it all costs 🤢

Food was bland cold and packaging was open and took nearly to arrive, i do not recommend kings was really disappointed.

Garden House Chinese takeaway in Finsbury Park is located a 3 minute walk from the station. No indoor area to eat (they use to have seating). Looked like half Chinese and Bric-a-back establishment. The same person that served me went out back and cooked up the driest dish imaginable - Vegetarian Singapore Vermicelli😬. I couldn’t finish the dish as at that time I had no liquid and couldn’t stomach anymore. The establishment felt very dated and not help with a large area full of Bric-a-back. Not sure if the items were free to take or selling them. The member of staff was helpful.

I made the mistake of ignoring the bad reviews, thinking “how bad can they be?” Cue two hours of them saying that either the food had been delivered or that it was on its way, when neither was true. It never came and they were horrible on the phone when I tried to complain. For your own sake, avoid at all costs

Lovely food, (too) big portions, very hot and earlier than expected. Couldn’t fault it. Chicken was good quality, especially in the salt and pepper chicken.

Comida tipo buffet bien presentada, variada y sabrosa. . . y amable personal. Buen valor para el dinero. . . . barato y alegre. Disfruté mi visita. . obtuve lo que quería!

Solíamos ordenar regularmente desde aquí. ¡Pero no sé qué pasó esta noche! Cada artículo era atroz. Pollo al curry; aguada sobre salsa picante sin verduras (sin cebollas ni guisantes). Bolas de pollo; un cuarto del tamaño y la mitad de la porción habitual y el pollo estaba seco. Salsa para las bolas de pollo; aguada y con sabor a vinagre de arroz, no a la salsa dulce pegajosa habitual. Arroz; insípido. Esta es la primera reseña que escribo, pero me sentí obligado a hacerlo porque era muy mala. Y toda esa basura por 25. ¡Nunca volveré a ordenar desde allí!

The noodles had a nice kick of flavor but felt a bit too greasy. Sweet and sour chicken was tender with a well-balanced sauce. Service was quick, and the staff were friendly, though the seating felt cramped and more suited for takeout than dining in. A decent spot overall.
