I’m not usually one to do bad reviews because most places i try, there are definitely good things. But this place.. i have nothing good to say. I ordered food from here and the chicken was undercooked and pink inside, absolutely disgusting. Minutes after eating i was sick. This is horrible. I have some real concerns about the food safety of this place. I’ve seen others say the same. This definitely needs to be looked into. I’ve never been so disappointed.. I can’t find anything good to say.

Crispy chilli beef with quite sweet & too crispy, almost burnt? Well packed, poor customer service for the phone handler

Kim Klan remains to be one of our top takeaways. The crispy shredded beef & sweet & sour chicken is some the best we have ever had! Not to mention the prawn crackers which they add on if you go & collect

I’m not sure why there are so many 1-star reviews on here, especially on delivery. We ordered from here as we were really craving salt and pepper chips and wings. Both were great - perfectly crispy and warm, even after being delivered for a c. 20 min delivery through London. We also got the lemon chicken, which was tart and perfectly saucy, and the chow mein and fried rice. Portions were very generous and we had enough for 2 whole meals for two. Give this spot a try!

Terrible food quality, some dishes dowsed in sauce that's bitter, overwhelming or disgustingly sweet. Had good chinese food before, but definitely not from there. Avoid at all cost.

You cannot order a delivery on their website, you cannot order a delivery over the phone, you cannot order for collection in person if paying by card, etc. It’s almost impossible to get food from this restaurant!!!

Best Chinese ever always fresh always happy worth the money

Only ordered from here so haven't had a sit-down experience. I really appreciate they have more interesting dishes such as Hunanese and Sichuan cuisine. My go-to for takeaway!

I’ve ordered before from here and it was lovely but this order was inedible. Salt and pepper chips, over cooked and seemed like reheats. Crispy beef with no beef and very greasy and spicy lamb ribs all fat. I threw it all out. So disappointing and I still feel sick-2 hours later. I payed £40 for 5 items and 2 of those were a coke and curry sauce-not cheap but wouldn’t mind if I could have at least eaten it.

Four of us ordered from this place. We all suffered from food poisoning within 24 hours. I will be reporting this "restaurant" to the council as it is clearly highly unsafe. Please avoid!

We have ordered sweat and sour chicken dish which was not tasty at all, poor quality and very artificial! Sadly eaten half of the portion and been suffering with food poisoning last two days! Very concern about food safety at this place!

This is a cut above your normal Chinese Takeaway. Very good food. Only down side is that they only use Uber Eats for delivery which SUCK! If you look at the bad reviews on here, they all relate to the delivery rather than the food.

I came across this restaurant on Uber eats and decided to order egg fried rice. It took 45mins to reach. I was still ok. I couldn't take it the moment I open the container. So called egg fried rice without any taste. Clearly the fried rice been cooked in big portion and then heat up upon customer request. So bad service. No wonder it was buy 1 free 1. IF YOU CANT GIVE THE Best AT LEAST DO IT CLEAN. SO FRUSTRATED

I have rated this 5* based on my experience, and I note their reviews are either 5* or 1* - there is nothing in between. I think the bad reviews are because of 2 things: 1. they do a lot of deliveries via deliveroo etc and I think the tardiness of their drivers and faults in their system (which is nothing to do with them) gets customers riled 2. I think if you order "standard" chinese takeaway stuff they are not so good at it - do not expect these guys to do a decent Singapore noodles but their Szechuan food was great. Personally, I have ordered once from JustEat or something because I got a massive money off voucher. I was tempted to try this restaurant because their offer was a bit out of the ordinary and ordered the dumplings in chilli oil and some dumpling soup The dumplings in chilli oil were amongst the best I've had. I think they must be from China so the traditional Cantonese style chinese restaurant cooking is not their thing. Order the more exotic sounding, spicy stuff is my advice, and most definitely the dumplings. I NEVER order takeaways but the 2 I ordered in the last year have been from this place (yes I ordered the dumplings again). Now I know where they are I will take the time to visit the place in person when I'm in the area.

So bad, dry ,tasteless ,the chow main was Singapore style noodles dry amd nasty the bbq ribs looked like a whole different type of meat animal and never seen them in watery juice like liquid before £66 also the most expensive in north London..crazy 😳

Literally the worst customer service I have ever experienced, I was sick at home and made an advanced order on UberEat that I have cancelled, but then UberEat went ahead with the order. When I discovered it, one minute after the app give me the notification, I called them to cancel the food, and they refused, I said is it ok reschedule the delivery to another day, could you leave the food in the fridge and I will pick it up another day, literally they not willing to corporate anything and just hang up my call, and then hang up my call everything I call them.

Veg chow mien via Uber eats. Really delicious. Really tasty. Arrived really quickly. They even followed my notes! Good price. Very please and will come again.

Ty his one of my favourite plcaes to order from on the delivery apps. The food is really good, especially the pork belly dishes and the rice. Definitely recommend. Never eaten though.

Went for chicken and fried rice! Tasted delicious and it was ready very quickly max 10 minutes. I love Chinese takeaways and it was up to standard, also came with free prawn crackers. I highly recommend.

As a kid growing up in a Chinese takeaway as my parents ran takeaways for 20 years, this place is certainly up there with the best of them. Great flavours, amazing selection and most importantly efficient! Pick up order in 10-15mins. I may have found my new regular.

Chow mein wasn't a chow mein but instead really thin hair like noodles that didn't taste nice and the Singapore chow mein should be spicy and it didn't have the slightest bit of spice to the point my 4year old was able to try it and not notice any spice and because of that in my personal opinion I wouldn't recommend

First time buying home delivery from Kim Klan. I LOVE IT! Both the stew pork belly and the spare ribs with sauce were super tender. The fried rice was freshly made with eggs and peas. All served in individual containers and served with chopsticks. I will buy again!

The food was perfect and just what I needed! It really reminded me of my parents cooking and warmed my soul! Thank you!

I ordered from this restaurant using uber app. 1 min after my order, I realised uber app didn’t choose my current location which was way too far from London. I literally called the restaurant 1 min after I placed the order asking to cancel my order. They didn’t even start making the order and their answer was that a refund won’t be possible. Communication with the guy who answered the phone, was 0.

I was super skeptical after ordering and seeing the reviews for this place. However I am more than impressed! The food was delicious fresh and definitely authentic, which is hard to find in London as most restaurants change recipes to cater to English peoples taste. I received all of my order. Everything was packaged correctly and there was no spillage. Portions were large too so definitely got my moneys worth. I made sure to order the Sichuan Hanon-Cantonese dishes as it seemed to be their specialty and I was right to do so. The star of the show had to be the sea bass cooked in soup for me. My stomach is happy and I will be ordering from here again soon. I don’t write reviews often but this one deserves a 5 star.

The restaurant is awesome, the ribs (lamb and pork) are my favourite and I always order take away from here. There's a small sitting space outside; in summer that's ok but there's no chance to eat in during the cold months. They only take cash, which in my opinion is a bit inconvenient. There's no toilet, which is another inconvenience but since eat in is not an option is not important. But again, don't get me wrong. Those two are facts, and as a business is their choice. The food is AMAZING and this is the most important part and portions are very generous!!

These guys just never seem to actually deliver food. Waited two hours then called - said it would be sorted. Waited another 45 mins called - they said they were closed. Joke of a takeaway.

The bad reviews here are not for this restaurant. This is one of the best tasting Chinese takeaways in North London. Prompt courteous service, tasty fresh food at the right price. Do no hesitate, order now!!!!

The food was nice 5/5 but half my order was not delivered with Deliveroo. When I tried to call the restaurant, there was no answer because I hoped to get my food tonight without having to go through Deliveroo’s slow process that takes days. I spent a lot of money for lots of missing items. It would be even more a shame if the kitchen made the food but it was not delivered.

A guy on the phone is completely in denial. Waited 2 hours for the food it then got cancelled! Man extremely rude! Do not waste your time or money supporting a business as such. Simply disgusted by the service.

Worst costumer service! After ordering food I waited 2 hours, then my order got cancelled. Next day I decided to reorder the food as their menu looked tasty however I decided to call the restaurant beforehand to ask if my food would be delivered this time as I am hungry and do not wish to wait 2 hours for then my order to be cancelled. MAN ON THE PHONE BLAMED ME! Saying that if I chose cheap option for my food to be delivered then I get cheap result (ordered through just eat). Man was completely delusional, I had to talk over him as he was not listening to me. He literally told me that it was my fault that I ordered food. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT. Terrible staff! Terrible customer service!! On top of that your food might never get delivered, so if you are hungry then don’t even bother.

Top notch! Was so glad when I tried this place. Tried at keast 20 different dishes from here and wasnt disappointed with a single one. Dumplings were great, sweet and sour chicken balls are crunchy and soo tasty!

Ordered 3 boxes of chow mein but al had to be thrown away due to being far too salty

What I ordered and what actually turned up. The food was BURNT & hard....verrrrrry veeeeerrrrrrry salty like the whole salt bottle fell in. The bites....inedible you couldn't even bite them ....so hard n dry like card board

Terrible service! Ordered food at 19:00 on Friday and received the food at 22:05. Their phone was busy for hours as I have tried to cancel my order after 1.5 hours. I wasn't able to cancel on Uber Eats either because order was in the "being prepared" stage for 2 hours as well. This restaurant is a joke

This is the third time we have received a delivery from this takeaway aka Kim’s Kitchen through Deliveroo! Each delivery has been delicious and is our favourite Chinese. The chicken curry is definitely the best I have eaten in London. Tried the mange tout with cashews and was delicious. Definitely will be ordering again and again!

One of the rare Chinese places that cater for all dietary requirements, whether halal, vegan or otherwise, they can even change which kind of oil they use upon request to suit allergy requirements etc. I ordered in person and this is made very clear on their menu. The customer service was excellent and the food was delicious, very good portions for a reasonable price, packaging comes in strong and sturdy brown paper bags, neat and professional. I personally requested halal options and was assured that a select groups of items on there menu is halal and is cooked separately to avoid any cross contamination, I really do appreciate such thoughtfulness and care and will be definitely returning

Order last night and it was exactly what I was looking for! Fried rice was to perfection, dim sum was fresh. Salt and pepper chicken was so good! The chilli oil was even spicy which was appreciated, as some Chinese take away chilli oil’s are barely spicy. Overall great food!

Excellent service from Kevin. Not only was the mushroom rice noodles delicious, he made the effort to ensure that my food was adjusted to be suitable for me, as a vegan. I am grateful!

We ordered a takeaway and the whole family got food poisoning. Never ordering anything from this place again.

I'm really disappointed. Having not eaten Chinese food for so many years, I thought I finally found a good, "hygienically" clean, Chinese restaurant. I typically order chicken fried rice. I ordered that yesterday, only to find PORK in my food. I've made the receptionist aware that I do not eat abominable food, I always give back the free prawn crackers they give, having spent more than £10, (as that's not part of my dietary requirement). Yet, I get home, I eat half and when I return to eat the other half, I find pork which I cannot eat, in my food. I'm so disappointed at this point. I thought I finally found a really good Chinese takeout.

I placed an order and had to wait for 1hr and 15 min to be told by Uber office that u messed up the order and that I can order again. And wait for god knows how long again. No comp offered and didn’t even had the decency to ring urselves and apologise. Haven’t tried your food so can’t say much about it but if it’s like your service then no thanks. Dinner ruined had to order elsewhere. Embarrassing service. And I live only 1.5 miles away from you but u can’t get the delivery right. 3 drivers came up on a tracker and in the end got nothing

Restaurants should call and apologise not hide behind Uber office people and ask me to re order. One of the few restaurants still operating during this lockdown. We have our favourite chinese restaurant round the corner from where we live. Been going there for over twenty years. There are other Chinese restaurants and we do order from other places, but they are by far our favourite, but lo and behold, we can't visit them during lockdown, so I was a bit apprehensive about ordering from somewhere else when there is a limited choice due to the lockdown. We ordered special fried rice, special house chow mein, sweet and sour chicken and salt and chilli spare ribs, absolutely delicious, I cleaned my plate, which for me is a rarity. Will be ordering again tonight!

Very popular restaurant especially for takeaways. Not the typical Chinese resturant, slight variations from traditional flavours.

Definitely doesn't deserve all the bad reviews. Its not that easy to get authentic Chinese food in London and this place isn't bad. A bit too oily for my preferences though. If its not as oily, I would consider ordering again.

Delicious! Amaizing s&p squid (seriously, do try it) , great chow mein, very nice spring onion beef, etc etc etc.. One of our favourite uber eats places! And for those who care, it arrives very nicely packed too. Cant wait to go try it in person in islington!

Come for a weekend away, order a Chinese from Kim Klan and it clearly states on their menu they deliver. When I phoned and asked if they deliver and they said yes. Then later told me my order was ready and I had to pick it up, when I asked for delivery. They proceeded to tell me they didn't dodelivery. After a lot of time over the phone they finallydelivered. I don't find this service acceptable!! !

Order takeaway this week through Deliveroo. Half the order didnt arrive. When I phoned Kin Klan they refused to replace the items and suggested I call Deliveroo (who don't have a phone number). The food that did arrive was not good at all and we ended up throwing most out

if you want to order the house special fried rice i would reccommend you dont, absoultley awful,im sorry im trying to be as nice as i can, but it was the worst thing ive ever ordered from anywhere, the rice was flavorless, there were too many soggy vegetables, they were large too.

Do not waste your money. We ordered chow mein, fried rice, chicken and broccolli. Tasted like it was a few days old. No fresh ingredients, no spices. Just a waste of your money and calories. Also, I FOUND A STAPLE IN MY RICE.

Love this place. Food is really good and authentic and its become our regular takeaway place. Would really recommend the kungpo chicken and the chairman mao pork. Service is always really friendly:) Don't understand the really poor ratings. Perhaps not many people understand that this restaurant specialises in szechuan/hunanese food which is a type of Chinese cuisine.

Small place with nice interior, pleasant service, food was quickly served even at later hours, for decent price (~6£ for full meal with 5 types of meat), this place definitely deserves more than 3.3.

Very pleasant and nice service. I was so hungry that I would eat anything. So I did. I tried noodle mix with different kinds of meat. It was very fast and for a good price.

Genuine Chinese/Cantonese food...the Sichuan! 🤤🤤

We ordered five courses through Uber Eats, but they come with only four. We called back but someone picked up the phone and say nothing, we call back again and they just rejected our call for more than three times. We just want a refund, is that so difficult? We thought we found a tasty restaurant, but obviously their attitude is really bad!

Waited an hour for 1 dish and second visit got the order completely wrong making me come back to the restaurant highly incompetent

They recently moved to Caledonian Road from Chapel Market in Islington where I used to visit them about once a week... If it’s possible the food is even better than before. For real delights make sure you check out the Sichuan / Hunan menu. Forever favourites are blanched spinach with sesame sauce, fried lotus root, squid with chillies... Basicslly anything. Staff are so wonderful and they do take away in fact that’s their main thing but you can eat there too and soon they will have an outside seating area, perfect for the summer. GO!!!
