Kings Chinese Takeaway in Islington

Food was bland cold and packaging was open and took nearly to arrive, i do not recommend kings was really disappointed.

Special fried rice a bit salty and it doesn't look like the special fried rice we always ordered in a Chinese restaurant or takeaway. The king pwarn balls is rubbery to chew which is not fresh and small portions which we couldn't finish to eat. Waste of money. I'm not buying to this shop anymore.

Disappointed with the food. No chopsticks and crispy beef not crispy. Chicken sweet sour balls ok. Rice microwaved and hard.

Was busy that day, but the food was done fantastically. As a uni student I really appreciate the price and was fuelled for the evening.

Just got my order, for the second time in a row INCORRECT ( I gave them another try) ordered classic chicken chow mien only to get a shrimp chow mien, it was dished up on plates then spotted prawns 🍤!!!!!!! Phoned them up there going to replace 👍BUT ARE TAKING BACK THE PRAWN DISH AS WE HAD NOT TOUCHED IT” we can re- use if you have not eaten any 🤮🤮🤮🤮 won’t be going there again, possible second hand food

We are regulars at Kings takeaway, and have been for a good few years. That is why it’s especially disappointing when they get it so wrong We ordered via text, rang to check on order after half an hour, then again after an hour then eventually the food arrived over two hours after making the order. We might have let it go if the food had been good, but it wasn’t. Watery hofun, undercooked squid, and certainly not worth the wait. I’ll check back here before I try them again.

The sweet and sour pork was the worst I've ever had. Tiny pieces of hard, rotting meat or pieces of fat. It's covered in sauce so it hides it. Absolutely disgusting! Carrots were dry and old. The "special" Chow Mein was tasteless and the meat was dry. We felt sick. I don't believe the good reviews, they must post them themselves. The customer's photos show you everything you need to know. Avoid!

This review was a little late due to the events but it still is the best takeaway i've been to in a long time.I always ate there every time i came back from work and it tasted great and was cheap. Thank you King Chinese

My family has really enjoyed coming here for a bit of Chinese food as my daughter loves it. I have to admit, the Chinese food here tastes far more better than other takeaways in the area. Glad I came here.

This takeaway has been recently changed business owner, the Suan Cai and Hot & Spicy soup are good. Would love to try their Kong Po next.

The chilli salt and pepper ribs are so good, such generous portions too. I love this place for a 'classic' quite old skool take away.

Just spent £20 on chinese , it was absolutely disgusting , couldnt even chew the meat , no flavour at all , staff unsympathetic, gave me £5 back so £15 went in the bin , lost my custom for good

Seriously though, why are there bad reviews for this place. I hardly ever have a takeaway as i'm normally healthy and i'm pretty fussy, but i LOVE Kings. Best takeaway ever! Ignore negative reviews.

The food in here is tasty. The wait times can be long sometimes but only during busy times and they always let you know at time of ordering. My takeaway of choice.

Experiencia absolutamente vergonzoso, de principio a fin. Mi marido y yo pedimos comida para llevar china. Se tardó una hora en llegar, que no es genial, pero forgivable una noche de sábado. Cuando la comida no llega, empezamos a subir y descubrimos manchas de pelo negro en dos de los platos! Llamamos Reyes enseguida pedir nuestra cena a realizarse de nuevo. La mujer en el teléfono era muy grosero y envió un hombre para recoger el orden original. En esta etapa, es 10:30:00, dos horas después de que originalmente ordenados nuestra comida! Mi marido pidió un reembolso y nos ofrecieron una botella de Pepsi. Mi marido dijo que no bebe refresco y la mujer en el teléfono (lo suficientemente ruidoso para respondió a oír sentado en el sofá)

Reyes ha sido comparado con el legendario restaurante grosero y malo, que es Wong Kei injustas. Servicio de Atención al cliente y la comida es wong kei millas sobre Reyes'. Siendo la única para llevar chino en arco significa que no tienen que probar muy duro y realmente, no lo hizo. Crujientes de pollo desmenuzado chili fue sin duda, pero no era desmenuzada crujiente y no tenía rastro de chili, e incluso la palabra pollo pone en duda. Lo mismo se aplica a las bolas de pollo dulce y agria; si verdaderamente era Gallus gallus, gallinas, luego fue un duro antiguo clucker.

Kings solía ser el rey de comida para llevar china hace unos años, siempre excelente. Últimamente ha sido muy normal, no es comida especialmente buena. Misma bazofia superficial se puede llegar a cualquier lugar. Nada fresco y no muy agradable. Es una pena realmente. Trataremos en otro hotel la próxima vez. Vienen en Reyes, solucionarla. Ah, y el personal de servicio/(teléfono esta vez) aún tan mal como siempre.

He estado pidiendo desde kings un número de años, la comida es buena un poco caro con algunos objetos. El problema es que a veces para poner las cosas en su orden o enviar las cosas equivocadas creo que esto es debido a que pueden ser muy concurrida. Es frustrante y molesto cuando te olvidas de poner las cosas en su orden. Pedí un plato recientemente y la señora dijo 1 hora a 1 hora y 10 minutos. Después de 1 hora 30 minutos llamé dijo su a su manera. Esperamos otro 20 minutos sin ningún signo de entrega llamé de nuevo y ella dijo que había un montón de tráfico que será pronto. Después de esperar 1 hora y 50 minutos el chino fue entregado. Es inaceptable que esperar ese tiempo nos dieron una botella de coca cola. El problema es que tomar tu orden te digo una vez sabiendo que no se puede entregar en el tiempo debido a que los conductores no lo suficiente. No pedir de nuevo. Si quieres esperar un largo tiempo para su entrega, este chino está bien.

Este tiene que ser la mejor comida china para llevar que he tenido. La comida es fresca preparada con amor y cuidado de sus clientes. Ni un solo fallo. Descubrí reyes a unos 5 o 6 años atrás, cuando vivía en Tufnell Park. Ahora he mudado lejos de allí y vivir en zona nw2, que es una buena de 20 a 30 minutos en coche. Me encanta la comida en King's y yo no te molestes con mi local chino para llevar. I drive a King's. Vale la pena.

Pedimos una comida para llevar, tardaron 1 horas en llegar (15 minutos tarde) pero que era 25 minutos de conducir la entrega de estar fuera (VI su coche parar) y no salir a entregar. El won ton sopa estaba bien, no es el mejor, pero delicioso. Campo principal de casa chow mein era estúpidamente grasientos, la carne muy muy poco y el frío. Orden lateral de patatas fritas tan seca necesitaba usar la salsa de curry para animar, que no era así. Más como un sorbo de jugo. No debe utilizar este nuevo

Im nunca llegar Mad o quejarse, hemos comido desde aquí dos veces. La primera vez nos llevó una hora y la comida era buena. Mucho el mismo como cualquier llevar chino. Segunda vez tardaron casi 3 horas, pagar el precio completo, y nos trajeron la comida erróneas. No tengo nada contra ellos, es justo que yo me resentí si yo pedimos desde aquí de nuevo. I was recommended this chinese after moving to the area. Have ordered from there twice now and both times the food has been delicious, but the staff are rude on the phone and in person. I was told our food will take 1hr (we live litrally accross the road) after 1hr20 i rang back and was told it will be another 30mins! Once the food did actually arrive, we didnt get a sorry or anything off our bill! I wont be ordering from here again as i think that's unexeptable!

I've eaten from King's on numerous occasions in the past and am really disappointed by their newer staff both on the phone and in person. One particular girl is rude and impolite and unfortunately is there a lot. She never says hello, smiles (in person!) or thank you. She is brusque and dismissive. The food was great but this too has slid lately. The spicy dishes just aren't and the noodles swim. Please speak to the people on the desk and remind them that it is the customers who keep the place going and a little civility costs nothing.

Pedimos Pad Thai, literalmente sabía a nada, podría haber preparado algo mejor yo. Llamó a decir que me decepcionó mucho y pregunte si habían olvidado la salsa ( ! ), parece ser que estaba destinado a ser así y a ellos les importa menos. No se puede pedir de ellos nuevo.

Kings has been around for a long time now but never disappoints the menu is far more varied than your usual Chinese menu always on time when ordered

Been using kings for many years, and there is nothing wrong with the food. Extensive menu to serve every palate, great service. Try the salt and pepper squid and you wont regret it :)

I have been using Kings for years now and have never had a complaint. I ordered a takeaway last night and they delivered the wrong rice dish. I called them up and they said they would deliver the correct dish. We were waiting for our dish rice to arrive when they phoned back and said they would only deliver the correct item if I paid for it. After a long argument on the phone i told them to come and collect the whole order and refund my money. The driver came and collected the order and said " The Chinese lady will refund later". I went to the shop and was told she was only willing to refund for 1 out of 8 items as she accused me of part eating the rest which was a bare face lie. I had to scream and shout in the shop for the best part of an hour to get a partial refund and told not to use the shop again!!!! The cheek of the woman!!! I most certainly will not be using that toilet again!!!!!!

My partner and I ordered from Kings chinese. 2 hours later we were still waiting, we gave them a call and we first got told that they could not find our order, then we were told that we did not place an order (so they were calling us liars). Suddenly they knew what address it was meant to be delivered to, so that makes no sense which makes no complete sense. This place is a complete joke and i advise anyone to not order from them, it's not worth the money.

We used to live near Kings and it was our favourite takeaway. Now we live in Brighton and whenever we're in North London we buy Chicken satay on skewers to take it home and freeze. Cannot find anything as good anywhere else we've tried. All the food has been good but the satay in particular is gorgeous.

Bad food on top of bad customer service unfortunately. The wait could almost be forgiven if the food was any cop, however an almost 2 hour wait and food that was both overcooked and sloppy cannot receive a good review by any stretch of the imagination. Cannot recommend.

The food is authentic and yummy, does take long to come but it is worth it I have converted all my friends into ordering here! They love it too!
