The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Tendring East of England

Been using here for about 10 years now, had to delete my 5 star review to 1 star, had a shrimp omelette and chips last week and it was lovely, had the same tonight and it disgusting, who ever cooked it put a few nice chips on top the rest was the worst greasiest chips I've ever had in my life.. Did he think I wasn't going to see the other chips under the top layer? And as for the shrimp omelette I had to throw it in the bin, it was burnt, greasy and disgusting, never ever would I use this place again.. I had to go hungry all night.. Would have took it back and demanded a refund if it weren't so far

OUR FIRST ORDER Ordered a mixed donor and chicken shish last night and the food was absolutely lovely. Will be ordering from here from now on. Lost a star bcos we got 2 pots of mayo instead of 1 mayo and 1 chilli sauce, was gutted as I love chilli on my food but will just emphasise on the chilli sauce next time.

I ordered a meal from this Chinese last night never again it was ridiculously salty all I could taste was salt and old chicken it was disgusting I will be asking for my money back and I certainly would never recommend it the worst takeaway I've ever had

Over charged us at the door, 10 over what was quoted on the phone?? Rang up to complain and all they kept saying was the told us the right price. No true at all. Complete joke. Update: food sucks lmao Go sun tong instead!

Really bad customer experience. I have been a loyal customer for 10+ years, until my experience last night. I ordered and was advised 20 minutes, I turned up 16 minutes later, one of the staff members in the back made a flippant comment about me turning up way too early. I spoke to the front of house lady, very nice person to share my dissatisfaction at the younger ladies comments. The younger lady then started sniggering and laughing at me. I don’t expect to be spoken about in that way or laughed at as a paying customer. I will now take my business elsewhere after more than 10 years! Shame on you water margin, customer service is important in all establishments!

If I was you get someone else to deliver your food as I had a mistlbe male driver bring my food he was very rude I want be going back there no more

Burnt and over cooked food - I have ordered takeaway from here on many occasions and have always been happy with the food and service, never the best (we've had better) but usually reasonable service, food quality and price with limited choice in this area. This will be the last time I order from them. (Sweet and sour pork balls, salt and pepper chicken and chicken chow mein) My order tonight was awful. Arrived promptly and driver was very cheery, shame the food wasn't nice. Everything had been deep fried for far too long, burnt on the outside and stodgy in the middle, the chow mien had a burnt taste, though didn't appear burnt (maybe cooked in a pan that had burnt food in prior/oil too hot? I don't know, just tasted burnt). The pork balls where hard and very dark brown on the outside, stodgy and undercooked on the inside. The salt and pepper chicken was burnt on the outside and dry chicken on the inside, I'm not usually too fussy but on this occasion I threw the entire meal in the bin, absolutely vile. I contacted the restaurant to tell them how vile it all was, after trying to inform me that they have to cook the pork balls for longer to ensure they are cooked and that's why they are burnt (like I've never had a properly cooked chinese pork ball before!) They did offer a replacement but due to needing to go to bed for a night shift I refused and just wanted to tell them was unhappy with the food. Hence the 2/3 stars... promptly delivered, nice driver, offer of replacement... but the food was a total disappointment.

Disappointing. I gave them a second chance as they used to be fantastic. Unfortunately still not good. I have no words for the vegetable mini rolls 🥺. Now looking for a new Chinese takeaway.

Rang ahead with order, only had to wait a couple of mins for it to be completed. Absolutely lovely meal, we thoroughly enjoyed it and have no complaints

Absolutely disgusting meal they have changed their name to dragon Inn ! Food was completely burnt and greasy and cold !!
