We spent over £60.00 and got the most salty food all that salt hids rotten food it was t the most disgusting food we have ever had in our lives. I would never recommend this takeaway to my worst enemy. Its that bad .do yourselves a favour never ever use this takeaway if they were decent they would give me my money. Back. Now after my 5th visit to the toilet and being sick I think a talk with the health officer's will take place. This takeaway should be looked into and SHUT DOWN ....

Customer service was awful, the food was just the same.. heavily salted, missing items from our menu. Notified the resturant and the response I got back was “oh ok”

Used to be great, every thing on the order was terrible. The chicken…if you can call it that was disgusting. Slimy wet mush is the only way I can describe it. Had to leave the whole lot out of my chicken curry. Same stuff in the chicken balls which along with the chips were old reheated garbage. Horrible foul old oil taste too. Dry old spare ribs. Nearly £30 quids worth of garbage.

Absolute disgrace ordered for 6pm delivery but at 6.40 still not arrived will not be using again

Spent 30 pound some of the food was ok but the person on the phone did not listen to order so the sauce was tipped on to food and was wrong sauce. Person could not eat their food as did not like sweet and sour.

Very well enjoyed still hot even though there was a bit of mix up with the adress but dealt very quickly thankyou very tasty

Best Chinese takeaway in town. Kungpo that actually tastes like it... not just a sweet and sour with some chillies thrown in... Great salt and pepper chips... lovely clean food that's not greasy. Only reason it's 4 stars is that I can't be lazy and use just eat...

Caution Beware new menu prices different from 12th Dec to 17th Dec on line dont match written menu some items changed OTHERWISE real good food never had a problem quick service friendly staff.

This place use to be nice but after trying them lastnight I sadly won't give them any money I spent 56 pounds on sub standard food half a duck which was overcooked dry and nasty most of it was tough as old boots salt and pepper chicken wings were horrible and the first one I bit into was red and pink and undercooked salt and pepper squid was like rubber sauce with crispy shredded beef was tasteless and like water the Singapore vermacilli was just full of spice and bits of green pepper which ive never had in before and shrimp like bullets and tough jerky style chicken this business has obviously been taken over as the food use to be lovely but I called and they took it as feedback they didn't offer me a sorry or anything so I thought I'll leave a review and sadly I'd never use this place again my bin enjoyed the food but he's use too rubbish

Got really poor since old owners left food not hot tasted stale , fried rice was like boiled rice no flavour haven't been back since ,

Hello just picked up a meal from this take away we have been going there for over 20yrs and I think it might be the last time , we ordered two special fried rice which tasted like boiled rice that was over cooked and reheated in microwave , very poor ingredients which didn’t seem to taste very fresh , my husband had two prawns , he was lucky I had a couple of bits of prawns just a few peas and literally a couple of pieces very small of pork and the same as chicken , I added soy sauce which I have never done before and it didn’t taste any better , so of course it went in the bin such a shame .

Great Chinese! One of the best in Clacton. Highly recommend to anyone after a tasty Chinese 👀. Best curry sauce in Clacton! Can be pretty busy at times so definitely worth calling ahead, but that just proves how good they are!

Ordered a few items from the Tasty House menu. The staff were very polite and I didn't have to wait long for the food to be cooked. I can recommend the crispy chili beef and the tofu. The tofu was a first for me having never tried it before but I will definitely have it again. Top marks from me. Well done all!

We have been customers of Tasty House for nearly 30 years, and would never go anywhere else. Since it changed ownership we have found the food has gone downhill, but our loyalty has still stayed with them. Last night, we had a family get together and ordered some food. When my daughter-in-law went to collect it, the woman behind the counter said "Thats a lot of food" (yes, it was a gathering of a lot of people, but even if it wasn't, it was a LOT OF CUSTOM for the Tasty House, so no need to be sarcastic - a "thank you" would have done). Then as she was leaving, two customers decided to join in, and said to her "Enjoy your expensive meal". I don't think they would have commented if the person serving hadn't made their sarcastic comment first, but even if it was an expensive meal, so what? What does that have to do with other customers? We were supporting a local business, and they didn't know how many people the food was for (and it was none of their business). When we got the food, the lemon chicken was incredibly salty and inedible (it wasn't the lemon sauce as that was more like lemon juice than lemon sauce, so we didn't use it) which we couldn't understand as this is not normally salty. Their menu also states a free bottle of coke for orders over £30 but we have never received this since the new owners have taken over. So we will now be going elsewhere. A shame as the original owners were lovely and would be devistated that their reputation was going downhill.

Nothing unique or individual but really tasty, a bit salty not too greasy, as good british classic Chinese take out gets.

Went in today to try after using another Chinese for several years. Chicken chow main was lovely but slightly greasy and the chicken was chewy in places. Chicken balls were amazing and the sweet and sour sauce was out of this world

We have been a few times since it’s been taken over and sadly, it’s just not the same.. quality of food isn’t as it should be, bordering on tasteless and lukewarm. I won’t be returning..

usually brilliant service! visited Sunday 11th March 2018 .. put 2 orders in totalling over £65 waited 45 minutes and got handed one order then 15 minutes later was told to wait another 5 minutes for the second order, in this time the first order had gone cold so they agreed to "cook it fresh". In fact it wasn't cooked fresh was just taken out the back and reheated! got the order home and most of it was missing. phoned up to be told they would cook the missing items and for me to go back and collect it. Absolutley not. I took what we was given back to be offered HALF a refund, yes they only wanted to give half of my money back and no food after messing up soo badly!! Different staff in there for some reason or another telling EVERYONE their food would be ready within 10 minutes! Used this Chinese for years and years ... not anymore!

Called around 10:15pm on the spur of the moment. Very friendly welcome and very prompt to take my order. Food arrived reasonably quickly and was not overly expensive. Well packaged and presented and was piping hot when i arrived home. Food was excellent. First time I've been but won't be the last

Best Chinese takeaway in Clacton. I have tried all the others and they are not a patch on tasty house. Tasty house is a proper Chinese takeaway no fried chicken, kebabs, pizzas etc, just good tasty Chinese. No home delivery though so popular they don't need to, and you often find non driving locals sending taxis to collect which says alot!!

Best Chinese I've ever had, nowhere compares. The service is amazing staff are polite they are fast. Best in Essex and possibly the UK.

Good tasting food but smaller portions than everywhere else you can buy Chinese from, if the portions were bigger this would be my regular for Chinese takeaway.

We were in a hurry so called in here when passing instead of using our usual which is Chung Yi in old road. The chicken balls were least half the size chicken wasn't as tasty and the sweet and sour sauce was a very thin and vinegary. Will say the special fried rice was packed with prawns and meat. But not good enough to make me come back here.

The only Chinese I use always polite and very quick. If I ring an order through its always ready when I arrive to pick it up.

Best local Chinese by far. Shame they don't deliver but easily make up for it by having such lovely food. Extremely friendly and fast!

After 25 years of takeaways from 'The Tasty House' there is only one choice for us! Delicious food always, good value for money and great customer service. It's my Friday night treat!

I can't fault the taste of the food, we had been going here a number of years until I found a hair in my food. I put it down to a one off and ordered again a week later. In that takeaway I again got half way through to find a black hair in my curry. Once is a mistake, twice, two weeks running - what's going on in the kitchen exactly?!

Food was excellent, fresh cooked and tasty as always. Service excellent and quick for a Saturday night, staff polite. Good choice of menu and will prepare a dish for you if it is not on the menu.

We have used the Tasty House for years even though with have takeaways nearer to our home. The food is always hot and tasty. Very generous portion sizes and extensive menu at a reasonable price. Good value set meals.

We've been using the Tasty House for some years now, and the food has always been freshly cooked, tasty and good value. The menu is quite extensive, and the portions are large. It is unfortunate that they don't deliver, but meals can be pre-ordered and collected. I would rather go and get food from the Tasty House myself than use somewhere else simply because they could bring it to us. Can whole-heartedly recommend this place to anybody wanting a good take-away in Clacton - I'm going to call in there on my way home this evening !

Been using Tasty house 16 years. Refuse to go to any other in Clacton. Only downside is they don't deliver.

A great place the food is lovley hot and every dish has it's own unique flavour unlike most Chinese that just taste like sweet an sour, don't deliver but worth the collection my partner won't eat Chinese from anywhere else but here, and lovley freindly owners.

i was on holiday and was looking for a takeaway . i chose by the reviews and my first choice was closed because it was Tuesday so tasty house was my second choice. i was very disappointed because the food was very bland and tasteless . my family and i did not enjoy any of it and it was a waste of my holiday money. my advice is not to go here

I had been a regular at this takeaway for a few years, then within the space of 3 months I found a hair in my food twice, and my sister also did.When I wet back down the shop to point this out, the lady owner shouted it's an accident and refused a refund.Disgusting customer service and disgraceful hygiene.A hair in your food once can be an accident - 3 times in 3 months is a serious lack of hygiene standards. I dread to think what else might have been in there!Never again!

Still the best chinese ever - singapore rice noodle - try it - always go there - can get very busy at times but worth the wait
