The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Cambridge East of England

Great casual spot. You get a basket, you put your treasures in the basket, it is weighed (you pay per 100g), you pick your soup base and it is sent off to the kitchen. It comes out bubbling in a personal pot, and you can slurp away with a free sauce station. It is VERY easy to overfill your basket and end up with your own personal cauldron, although if you ask they will bag up leftovers for you. There are plenty of vegetarian fillings and a tomato soup base which is vegetarian. There is also a vegetarian set pot if you can't make up your mind. I found the food very tasty, lovely quick service, and reasonable prices.

Estaba muy sorprendido por la comida en YamYam ir! Normalmente no soy el mayor fan de la comida asiática, normalmente me encuentro un poco grasienta y prefiero más fresca, pero tampoco alimentos cata de manera pensé que le daría a este restaurante un ir mientras yo estaba en Cambridge. No es grasiento y gustos realmente fresco! Tuve el pollo teriyaki con arroz y sin duda lo recomendaría a cualquiera que esté pensando en ir; tenía mucho sabor!

Having been regular visitors pre Lockdown the five of us got together at the Forum on Friday evening for what proved to be a very enjoyable evening. The food was as we remembered it EXCELLENT. The restaurant was fully booked but the staff were able to make you feel that you were the only table in the room. whoever is responsible for their training and supervision has our deepest gratitude. will we come again... you bet. Food with heart. Hong Kong stylish dishes. Baked pork chop with rice is highly recommended.

Delicious food without any frills!

Didn’t try this personally, but to relay the feedback: it was a filled, freshly cooked, and steaminggg pancake. On the pricier side, but you get what you pay for! Quickly made, so you won’t be waiting for long (around 5 minutes). Worth trying out once for sure!

Delicious food, very good price, nice service.

Worth the queue. Despite the name, the dumplings are the real attraction here, particularly the xiao long bao. The food here is consistently delicious and excellent value, though you can expect to wait about 30 minutes for a table. The couple who run this place work tremendously hard and have built a really lovely addition to this part of Cambridge. Beware, it's cash only.

I've ordered from this restaurant three times, and each time, the quality and portion size have declined. My recent beef noodle order had only three pieces of meat.

I had a lovely dinner with my family. The food and service are great! Too good, I'll come back soon.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. He reminded me of my grandpa! The food was so delicious and well-seasoned. The price was also reasonable since the portion was huge! We got “roasted duck with vegetables and an extra egg” and “braised beef brisket with potato and an extra egg”. Everything was clean and tidy.

Chicken fried rice and Special fried rice was bland and white showing no flavouring. Crispy shredded beef was spongey. Asked for a refund and they refused. Had to return back to the place and the lady was very hostile!!
