The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Cambridge East of England

Great casual spot. You get a basket, you put your treasures in the basket, it is weighed (you pay per 100g), you pick your soup base and it is sent off to the kitchen. It comes out bubbling in a personal pot, and you can slurp away with a free sauce station. It is VERY easy to overfill your basket and end up with your own personal cauldron, although if you ask they will bag up leftovers for you. There are plenty of vegetarian fillings and a tomato soup base which is vegetarian. There is also a vegetarian set pot if you can't make up your mind. I found the food very tasty, lovely quick service, and reasonable prices.

Estaba muy sorprendido por la comida en YamYam ir! Normalmente no soy el mayor fan de la comida asiática, normalmente me encuentro un poco grasienta y prefiero más fresca, pero tampoco alimentos cata de manera pensé que le daría a este restaurante un ir mientras yo estaba en Cambridge. No es grasiento y gustos realmente fresco! Tuve el pollo teriyaki con arroz y sin duda lo recomendaría a cualquiera que esté pensando en ir; tenía mucho sabor!

Having been regular visitors pre Lockdown the five of us got together at the Forum on Friday evening for what proved to be a very enjoyable evening. The food was as we remembered it EXCELLENT. The restaurant was fully booked but the staff were able to make you feel that you were the only table in the room. whoever is responsible for their training and supervision has our deepest gratitude. will we come again... you bet. Absolutely incredible Chinese food, some of the best I've ever had.

Very unhygenic and poor service. They dont like to speak english to you.

I wish I have more than 5 stars. Incredible small dumpling magic, all homemade. The flavours and freshness is simply incredible.

The best dumplings I’ve had! The handmade noodles were also delicious 😋 Be sure to queue just before 12, as there isn’t much space inside so expect a 30+ min wait if you don’t get in first. For such an amazing selection of food, it’s very cheap too!

I've ordered from this restaurant three times, and each time, the quality and portion size have declined. My recent beef noodle order had only three pieces of meat.

The food tastes great and is affordable. The only downsides are they close at 2 pm and they accept only cash. I would have given it five starts if not for these and the fact that I ordered house special fried rice and dumplings but got something else. I had to go out to look for cash to pay. By the time I got back, they said they were closing and I couldn't eat in. Still got the food in packs and went to a park to eat it. Then realised unfortunately that I was given plain rice instead. But I liked it. I plan to go back and try other foods, hopefully, I get what I order next time 😃

The food is delicious and staff is extremely welcoming and friendly. They have a nice selection of drinks and always have some interesting/fun cocktails. We love coming back here. Lot of good comfort food :) And plenty of parking space if you need to drive (parking is verified inside the restaurant).

Delicious! So much better than any chinese takeaway we've had before. No neon orange sweet & sour here. Just freshly cooked tasty food. The guy who took our order was very friendly and helpful. He even made us a dish that wasn't listed on the menu. Fantastic vegan/vegetarian options. We'll definitely be back.
