The best restaurants serving British food in Pont-y-clun Rhondda Cynon Taf South Wales

First impressions count. From ringing to make my reservation the woman I spoke to was friendly and accommodating. On the day of our arrival we were greeted by the male host. Again friendly with impeccable manners on being shown to our table. He talked through the menu with us and gave us some advice regarding the wine. When the mains arrived we weren’t disappointed. Piping hot and very tasty. The dessert was a scrummy too. A shout out for the two young women who waited on the tables. Again friendly without being in your face. I haven’t been to this pub for years but will definitely be returning soon.

We stopped here as we had been walking the dog. It was a Sunday so we were doubtful we could get a seat. We did manage to in the bar. It does have its regular drinkers so I would recommend the restaurant if you have children. The staff are amazing and the food was the best Sunday lunch we have had in a long time. It's reasonably priced and we couldn't finish it all. Definitely worth a visit. We will be back.

This is a great find - not far off the motorway, dog friendly with outdoor seating, and huge portions with great quality for a really good price. Couldn't recommend enough!

A really lovely little pub, friendly atmosphere and the garden out the back is very cute! Drinks priced quite reasonably too

Had a brilliant 2 night stay. We felt so welcomed, the breakfast was cooked fresh and extremely good value. Set in a stunning location with 3 lakes, you wouldn't know that you were so close to 2 industrial towns.

Went at for a late lunch today and the food was lovely and friendly staff. There was one problem we had to sit at the casual end as we didn't have a booking, but that was our fault.
