This is a new business and is found behind the Garage at the Trawsfynydd/Bala junction. I had far to go but not a lot of time on my hands and saw this food van. I went to have a look and found a very clean, handy little gem. Breakfast was the main item but plenty of variety. I had a delicious cheeseburger, hubby had a huge bacon and sausage sandwich which was also delicious. The young lady was very chatty and pleasant, and kept a very tight ship! A very handy, convenient little business, and I wish them all the best in their new venture.

We stumbled across the Cader Cafe by chance as we were looking for a dog friendly cafe and we were so pleased we did. We received a warm welcome the moment we stepped in the door. Lovely selection of home made cakes, pies and sausage rolls and my daughter and I both had to try one of the hot honey buns which were so yummy. Hubbie had a hot sausage roll and they even brought a hot sausage and a bowl of water for our puppy. We had 2 honey buns, a large sausage roll, 2 teas and a large hot chocolate for under Ā£10 + Dotties sausage. We had paid more than this for 1 tea and 2 hot chocolates the day before on Anglesey. The service was first class and the staff so friendly. The cafe was very clean as were the toilets but they could do with a little upgrade. Thank you for a lovely visit.

We recently enjoyed a gathering at Y Sgwar with a group of 24ā12 adults and 12 childrenāand it couldnāt have gone better. From the start, Lorraine and Cassy were incredibly helpful in organising everything, making sure our large group would have a smooth experience. Their suggestion to pre-order our meals worked perfectly, allowing everyone to settle in and enjoy themselves without any delay. The food was fantasticābeautifully presented, served at just the right temperature, and absolutely delicious. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, and it was clear the kitchen took great care with each one. Both the adults and children had a variety of options that were truly enjoyed by all, adding to the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Our thanks to the team at Y Sgwar for helping to make this gathering a memorable one for the group. We look forward to coming back! ā Steph Macnab and the Uber Family

I was treated by a friend to a wonderful stay at Castle Cottage. The bedrooms were beautifully appointed, dinner from the Residents' Menu was delicious & well presented and the help & hospitality from Pattra & Darryl was exceptional! Perfect place to stay!

Perfect location for anyone doing the Wales Coastal Path. Unpretentious, good quality food, great value for money, and very good coffee (if you need an Italian-quality espresso to follow a no-nonsense fry up). Don't waste your time schlepping up the hill when you could be dining here instead. Fish and chips available Fridays and Saturdays too.
