Under new owner's October 2024...what a lovely atmosphere on a damp autumn evening, fire blazing,Rhys and Claire made it so welcoming... proper traditional pub, dart board, pool table and a chess board set up for customers to chill with a drink with and off road parking behind the pub. Really cosy pub with a warm atmosphere....would recommend and will be returning 👏👏👏👏❤️

The Usk & Railway is a must to try if you are in driving distance of Sennybridge, the locals are very friendly, we were in the area for 2 nights and fully expected to eat in 2 different places for evening meal each night, having eaten here on the Friday we returned on the Saturday! The food quality, presentation & taste was excellent, the service was great, all of the meals we ate over the weekend were fabulous, an absolute must to visit and eat!

I have been here a number of times now. Part of the church/café is dog friendly. The staff are always friendly and polite. Nice coffee but sometimes not hot enough. The salmon bagel is delicious.

Eleven of us went to the Tanners Arms for New Years Day . The service was excellent and food really good quality and great value. Very dog friendly- our two dogs were spoilt rotten !

We have always loved the Castle Coaching Inn and have enjoyed seeing it emerge in its new incarnation. It's lovely to step inside from the dark starriness of the Brecon Beacons into the welcoming bar, always buzzing with conversation. The food is really good, whether one wants something simple and hearty or something a bit more stylish and unusual. This time we both had the fishcake croquettes, which are light and crispy and creamy, accompanied by a little salad and lemon relish, then bavette with chimichurri and wonderful chips. Decent wine list, friendly service, sensible prices, local beer. What more could one wish for?

For a fish and chip shop, you would think they would know how to cook fish. My takeaway contained uncooked batter on haddock. In addition, the chips were a soggy mess having not be drained properly. A brioche bun chip butty??? Curry sauce was good, but guessing that was bought in. Maybe a bad night, but def not going back.
