Popped in for a quick lunch as I have been meaning to visit for ages. I was not disappointed. The warmth of the lovely welcome was matched by the glowing woodburner. The menu and specials covered everything from traditional Welsh Rarebit to Patagonian and Korean! As it was my first visit I plumped for the traditional with a lovely flat white. The star of the show came with an excellent side salad and some amazing cranberry chutney. Will I be back? Definitely, the Fiery Patagonian is calling my name. In summary a fantastic place with lovely welcoming staff and amazing food. My advice is don’t miss it.

Under new owner's October 2024...what a lovely atmosphere on a damp autumn evening, fire blazing,Rhys and Claire made it so welcoming... proper traditional pub, dart board, pool table and a chess board set up for customers to chill with a drink with and off road parking behind the pub. Really cosy pub with a warm atmosphere....would recommend and will be returning 👏👏👏👏❤️

Great food served by nice people! Good price. We had fresh made chips, chicken burgers and chicken curry. All good!

Called in here for coffee and cake while visiting the antique centre. What a find! Stunning cake and coffee and a fabulous place. So well decorated and the loos rank among the best I’ve been in. We will definitely be back to sample the lunch menu and maybe even stay the night. Great service too.

I have been here a number of times now. Part of the church/café is dog friendly. The staff are always friendly and polite. Nice coffee but sometimes not hot enough. The salmon bagel is delicious.

Eleven of us went to the Tanners Arms for New Years Day . The service was excellent and food really good quality and great value. Very dog friendly- our two dogs were spoilt rotten !

We had a lovely lunch here after visiting the Showcaves. I called in the morning to reserve a table. It was quiet when we arrived but soon filled up with family groups. Advised when I booked that they didn’t do Sunday roast - which was fine for us. Friendly welcome, cosy vibe and proper home cooked pub food. Empty plates all round. The chap behind the bar was good for banter and also gave us some great tips for things to see and do in the Area. We’d definitely come back again.

I ordered a panini, having enjoyed one on a previous occasion. When it arrived, it was a wrap which had been toasted. It was very hard and impossible to eat. Had I been told that a "panini" wasn't actually a panini, I would have ordered something else. Disappointed as I have been here many times and always enjoyed my meal.

For a fish and chip shop, you would think they would know how to cook fish. My takeaway contained uncooked batter on haddock. In addition, the chips were a soggy mess having not be drained properly. A brioche bun chip butty??? Curry sauce was good, but guessing that was bought in. Maybe a bad night, but def not going back.
