The best restaurants serving British food in Galashiels and District Scottish Borders Lowlands

Found this place in 2023 and have been many times, it is great on all fronts...food, service, atmosphere,price and quality....best bacon rolls! Highly recommend.

Very busy as always! Food was excellent. Portions were huge and I couldn’t finish half my main despite it being delicious. Staff were very friendly and as attentive as they could be with having the place so full. First time eating here and I’ll definitely be back

Wonderful food and so nicely presented and the young man serving was so polite and professional. Only negative was the disappointing vegetarian options for my sister. Macaroni cheese is more suited to a cafe menu. But a lovely evening none the less.

My breakfast was spoiled by the overcooked eggs, yolks were burst and hard! 3 hairs found on plate!

Great friendly place to stay for a few

good place to visit, cheapest in the town.

I wish I could upload the photos I took of the chicken kebab that arrived in an unwrapped polyester case so that the contents had spilled out all over the bag and other contents. Totally careless and at a cost of £30 or so it was terrible.

Did not stay in the hotel. But visited the Potting shed Bistro in the grounds. Highly recommend the quaint little potting shed bistro in the grounds of the Roman Camp Hotel. Unique ambience, lovely food and great staff. In my view the best place to dine out in Callander.
