The best restaurants in Galashiels and District Scottish Borders Lowlands

Found this place in 2023 and have been many times, it is great on all fronts...food, service, atmosphere,price and quality....best bacon rolls! Highly recommend.

The food was amazing, the staff really friendly and while we were waiting for a takeaway we started to regret that we didn't dine in.

Was in today and watched the Glasgow Derby. Never had so much fun. Sitting next to a fan of the Rangers and he constantly berated and praised the players from his team in the same sentence . Made a great day wonderful

The food was excellent, as good as I have had. The service was really good also, although at times it felt as if they might have been a little bit short staffed.

The food was disgusting I can’t believe this place has almost 5 stars. The chicken tenders were soggy and not very warm, the fries were so stale they were inedible, the onion rings were horrible frozen ones with mushed up onion and the dips were thin and tasteless! There was no rice and that was one of the only authentic things on the menu.

My friends and I were starving post 9:30pm and found this place open. We tried their kebabs and wraps and it was so good. Definitely recommend the shish wrap (the portions are HUGE). Thank you for giving us free fries and the water your kindness was everything for us ladies that day 🤍😭

Very busy as always! Food was excellent. Portions were huge and I couldn’t finish half my main despite it being delicious. Staff were very friendly and as attentive as they could be with having the place so full. First time eating here and I’ll definitely be back

Excellent buffet choice, well worth a visit

We picked up a takeaway on Xmas Eve for our Xmas dinner and it was brilliant, generous portions and very tasty food. It was an excellent Xmas Dinner.

Wonderful food and so nicely presented and the young man serving was so polite and professional. Only negative was the disappointing vegetarian options for my sister. Macaroni cheese is more suited to a cafe menu. But a lovely evening none the less.

Had been looking forward to my visit made specifically to try this place out. Noone else in except the numerous staff all talking away happily to each other. After looking at menu which looked fabulous I went up to order as none of staff looked vaguely interested in taking my order. No sit down we will come to you. I sat and waited and the place started to fill. 3 other tables came in and someone came from behind the counter to clear dirty dishes that had been on a table when I went in. Finally someone came to serve me and I commented on my wait to which I was given a story about the coffee machine not working which was why staff were chatting. Hmmmmn really. Then as of course luck would have it they were out of the very thing I was there to have. I will give them another chance another day as the menu was interesting but the service was shockingly bad especially if they then are having to tell people no coffee! Zero recognition of interaction with customers and I speak as someone with a long hospitality career. Great location great menu but lacking in customer connection.
