The best restaurants serving British food in Moray Highlands and Islands

Drove from an hour away on a sightseeing day only to have owners say there is no restaurant here. So then had to drive back the other way to go to our second choice restaurant.

Don’t really want to shout about this because we always want to get a table but it’s only fair to share. Best Thai meal we have had. Cracking satay. Fish curry was spectacular. Imaginative cocktails. Inventive deserts. Amazing welcome- lovely hosts and chef.

I cannot thank Stephen enough as he has gone above throughout this whole lockdown in helping me get presents to my parents. The Deli deserves recognition for all their hard work that they have provided .

Lovely friendly cafe offering a good variety of sandwiches, paninis, coffee, drinks and cake. Nice views of valley and golf course. Seating inside and out. I had a nut butter beetroot carrot panini, my partner had local ham and cheese sandwich. Both came with fresh salad. Parking area. Glad we spotted this by chance!

Just popped in for a Feta Salad. They accidentally put avocado in it, but asked if that was OK before serving it. It was more than OK - it was delicious - took the slight edge off the feta. Very tasty.

Even if not doing any biking you can still go and eat here. Great food brought to you by the Nethy Bridge team. Eat in or outside.

Mosset Tavern is wonderful in everything.

A visit to this bright and clean cafe is an absolute must whenever in Cullen - unfailingly good. Great menu - although it’s always difficult to see past the delicious Cullen Skink - and generous portions. The staff and the coffee are lovely too!

Lovely family party there, can't fault food and service, excellent, only draw back was that the carpark was on the smaller side. There is parking nearby but shame it wasn't on grounds.

Great for a casual night out with an extensive whiskey list in the Speyside region. Also came back for a second evening and enjoyed a tasty dinner. Best French Onion I’ve ever had!

Another great meal last night. David and Sophie are great hosts and always take time out for a chat even when they’re really busy.

Lovely location right on the foreshore. Easy access by bus and car (there is ample parking, with dedicated disabled badge holders space). The coffee is very good and the cake portions are enormous! I ate half and took half home. (They can provide a take away box, but I just used a napkin as the boxes were polystyrene - maybe cardboard would be better? )
