No longer in the Polish Club. Now in the Kirkcaldy United Services Institue in Kirkcaldy. New lovely venue. Same good tasty three course meal plus coffee for £10. Same friendly staff. Been there twice, will be back

A very nice place with a small but suitable menu for breakfast, lunch or a coffee and cake. A lovely play corner for kids too. They sell some nice books and gift items. We can never have enough nice places like this in Kirkcaldy. Ten minute walk from the train and five from the bus station.

Good evening. I'm writing to share my deep disappointment with our dining experience at your restaurant tonight. We were so looking forward to trying the Duchess, especially as it came highly recommended. Unfortunately, the steak pie was very poor. The meat was tasteless and the flavor was completely absent. The chips were just thick-cut, annd tasted cheap, instead of the andvertised gourmet chips and the 'seasonal vegetables' – the carrots – were served cold. The service felt rushed; our meals arrived 5 minutes after placing our order and before our drinks. While the staff were friendly, our table was not ideal, we got shoved in a dark corner, when the place was half full. My guest, who was visiting from out of town, was also very disappointed and couldn't eat much of her meal. The staff member did remove the charge for her meal. £16 each, please see photos attached. To make matters worse, the bathroom was dirty and one stall had a broken lock. We also witnessed teenagers running through the restaurant to use the toilets in a group and then running back out. We really regret not trusting our gut and leaving. We had also considered trying Jocks or The Steading, and now wish we had made that choice. Weatherspoons food and atmosphere with high end prices.

Very friendly service, sadly however the "famous" big boy breakfast was rather small and disappointing and a little over priced for what was presented... it includes a cup of tea but if you want an alternative hot drink like a black coffee it's extra.!!. The whole thing was made up of cheap basic items and the beans came in a sad little plastic pot.. the toast was the only good thing about it. Unfortunately I don't see a repeat visit. Sorry...

So good to know that you can have everything! So few places offer entirely gluten free options. Fudge donut was amazing!!

Got asked to leave because the group I was in sang happy birthday to one of the guys and someone joked at the end 'Happy 17th'. We were told we cannot make jokes like that in an establishment like this! We thought he was kidding, but no. Offered him ID as the guy was actually 23 and wouldn't take it. There were 14 of us putting quite a bit over the bar causing no trouble. Think someone was on a power trip that evening.
