Food fine but table was cleared although we said we were going outside for a minute,but may add drinks were replaced promptly

came in for some food was very tasteful great service. if your looking for good food great music great atmosphire then the exchecker is where its at. will be back again

Went to the exchequer yesterday for some drinks and a catch up with some old friends, even though it was busy we were greeted and served with patience and kindness by Jade who served us with nothing but a smile. Stayed the majority of the night, where the same service continued by Dylan and Jonathan. Would highly recommend.

Jonathan is amazing his banter is always class. Give him a raise !! He’s so down to earth and can have a laugh whilst doing his job. Xx also he never makes girls feel uncomfortable

Visited here today with my hubby and 17yr old granddaughter . We purchased 2 x bbq chicken baked potato lunch time meal deals and a Mac and cheese baked tattie meal deal. Great Value for money, and were really tasty. Was served by a young lassie named Danni, and she was so nice, asking if all was ok and if we enjoyed our meal and if there was anything else we needed. Customer service was spot on. Also guy at bar, didn’t catch his name, wee bit older with glasses , he too was very friendly and helpful. We will defo be back, as we were made to feel very relaxed and welcome, and as I said earlier the food was exceptional value for money.. £6.50 with a drink included, where else could you get great food and great service? Thank you again x

The atmosphere was busy and rather noisy as you might expect from a sports bar with multiple screens. There were only two staff taking orders at the bar for food and drinks and there was no proper queuing system. However, by far the worst aspect was the food itself. It sounded inviting enough on the menu but what was actually served did not measure up and represented very poor value e.g. a chicken and bacon salad that was 90% lettuce. This was our first visit to the Exchequer and it will be our last. It might be OK for drinks but if you're wanting food then I strongly recommend you go elsewhere.

Huge bar great range of ales and lagers Very chilled Friendly staff and good food I had bangers and mash with thick gravy and chopped red onion garnish and garden peas which I felt were undercooked but the food was piling hot and delicious and a great portion size I think I spent £18 including a pint. I went back for breakfast but the kitchen was closed for repair Darn it Highly recommend a favourite with the locals

Popped in for an early dinner I had an ice cold peroni and bangers and mash with garden peas Three sausages on creamy mash with rich dark gravy and garden peas. Garnished with chopped red onions. Fantastic nice chill vibe not many people about clean and spacious. Will go back soon Cost me £13

Reece was very welcoming and helped us navigate the app for the pub. Really great customer person and perfect for his job.

The servers Jade and Dylan were very helpful and friendly. The service and drinks were excellent. The BBQ Mac burger was very good, and the customisation options were very thorough.

Got two mixed grills both arrived without sausage or chicken went to tell them about sausage then realised the chicken wasn’t there but the excuse we got was the chef fell off her bike that day poor excuse the other food was lovely other than the steaks that were hard to chew

Food was good but basic - no extras like coleslaw or onion rings with burger. Was good value. Great selection of beer. Staff are absolutely lovely ❤️

Spent multiple days in the Exchequer with friends Julie and Mark and family Joyce and Bill while on our three week holiday here. We have been in multiple times for drinks and/or a meal, had a great time at the quiz on Thursday nights and at the bingo on the Friday afternoons. We really appreciate the pub being dog friendly, this has made it easier and more enjoyable going out as a complete family. We have enjoyed the food on the new menu and have therefore gone out this evening for one last meal before we head back to the Netherlands tomorrow afternoon. Thank you to Dave and all the staff for being so welcoming. See you next time we’re back in August, we’re looking forward to it, Karen and Lorna (and Finnly the dog) from the Netherlands

Waited an hour then food came gammon was charged and very salty no pineapple one under cooked egg on the mixed grill chicken was dry gammon zgain charged sausage was not Cumberland I should know as I lived there steak could not put a knife through it also when it was torn apart to chewie so no would not recommend at sll.

Came in to try the new menu since I seen it on facebook and was surprised how good the new items were, loved the chilli nachos and croquettes. Shout to Melissa for being super friendly

Awesome place for both food and drinks! It's not too overcrowded and it's suitable both for families or just friendly hangout. Food and cocktails are pretty good and cheap, so it's great. There's a nice deal where you can get 3, 5, or 7 (i think) small plates, for decent price, but usually with 3 plates you'll get 2-3 people full probably, so it's a really nice deal for £11! Also good fish and chips and desserts:)

Pub which broadcasts sport and more particularly football matches. Lots of screens allowing you to follow the competition in different places in the bar. For food, you order at the bar, pay and sit down. The waiter then brings us our order. For drinks, everything happens directly at the bar. 2 types of fries: waffle or fries. Possibility of parking in the streets for free depending on the time.

Went in last night for a drink with friends. atmosphere was amazing. staff very friendly especially Jonathan very funny and welcoming. Music really good and drinks very affordable. Loved it.

Dave and Ashley took a chance and hosted my friends cocktail making class for my friends hen. Jonathan hosted our cocktails, Gary cooked our food and we had a fabulous time.

First time visiting Kirkcaldy. Fabulous place 😀 just popped in by chance as well were looking for pub grub. Served by a lovely guy called Dylan who was very charming and recommended varies bits and pieces to share. He told us a bit about the place and even helped my friend sort her phone out; he was really lovely and funny. Well definitely be back to the Exchequer on our next visit, it does exactly what it says on the tin. Visited yesterday for some lunch and will definitely be back. The food was great value for money and the staff were lovely. Couldn't fault the place.

Just had gammon and husband had fish and chips, both were excellent, for a pub the food is great but haven't come to expect anything different as alway welcoming and great food.

Went for breakfast, not the best food. Mostly burnt, but bacon could of been revived by a good vet! Won't be back for breakfast. However it was wheelchair accessible so that was a bonus!

Fantastic place for food or a night out - the place can do it all! Staff are extremely helpful and attentive. Ashleigh in particular provided us with exceptional service when we last dined in Exchequer, nothing was too much for her, and all done with a smile on her face. 5 stars from me.

The staff are the reason I keep coming back. Solid menu and great patio space. It's the safe bet for good service in a clean welcoming environment. Highly recommend on Kirkcaldy High Street.

Was great to go watch the football. Great atmosphere and service. Unfortunately the food was not good. I ordered prawn cocktail. Well what came our was breaded deep fried king prawns and chilli dip. Was very greasy. My husband had a breakfast which also was very greasy.

Beautiful experience at the exchequer today even though it was busy the staff kept high spirits which was impressive as it was mobbed,food was fabulous and atmosphere was lovely would 100% recommend this pub to family and friends

Food was amazing and came out within 15 minutes, There was different types off sports on all over the pub All the staff was friendly but especially Mel who talked with my daughter and made her laugh Definitely will be coming back

Honestly cannot recommend the exchequer enough. food is fast, yummy and delivered by pleasant and friendly staff. We were very happy with the football being shown on a variety of tv’s with atmospheric music to accompany it. Great wee pub!

Absolutely love the Exchequer, without a doubt the best pub in the area. Dave is a great host and nothing is ever too much trouble. Easy to book, food is always spot on and hot. Drink range is superb always bringing in new stuff for us to try. DJ Ali at the weekend is always entertaining and it's without doubt the best place to watch sports with the amount of telly screens in there. All the staff are fantastic- Melissa, Maria, Jonathan, Lauren and all the rest. Have been coming here ever since Dave took it over and will continue to do so. Fantastic pub.
