Always pop in when in the area still the same great quality. Yesterday. 27th Feb 2019 had a great meal to start a large bowl of mulligatawny soup the best I have had in any restaurant Anywhere. This place has not change why mess with near perfection. Update Sunday 10th February 2025: The menu font is so small if it was any smaller it would be in Braille. It must be sponsored by specsavers

Lovely place , good food, attentive service and excellent views out to the silvery Tay.

Sat downstairs in the cafe was well catered for and tea was spot on cheers folks

Went on Saturday at the private function room for a birthday, though things didn’t go to plan due to poor attendance but the bartender Freddy was really helpful and patient, it’s rare you see a city centre bartender actually take the time to help out

Awful experience. Barstaff were surly, and the regulars were rude and argumentative. I shan't be going back in a hurry!

Food (when we eventually got it) was average, service very slow and disorganised but she servers were polite and apologetic. However the management was incredibly poor and not in the slightest bit interested in anything. We four have been meeting here on a regular basis over the past few years and had this been our first visit I doubt very much if we would be back. When we commented to the manager that there was a general lack of organisation it was greeted with a shrug of the shoulders. Not good.

Markets itself as a as a fairly well to do venue however it very much is not. We were a group of 11 for my fathers birthday. We had to order in advance which I imagined should have allowed for a smooth fast service, it wasn’t even close. The mains for whatever reason started coming out with the starters, we sent the mains back. Starters were mediocre. Mains arrived 50 minutes later having obviously sat under the hot lamps of the kitchen pass for the duration so were very much dry. When raised with the server they said they would report it to the kitchen… nothing was done. What was edible was eaten and we waited another 50 minutes for desserts which were also mediocre. We were in the restaurant for 2.5 hrs which is an obscene amount of time for a 3 course meal never mind one that’s be en ordered in advance. The price of the dishes was at the very high end for what they were. It wasn’t busy at all there were around 15 other customers soon no idea what took so long. The place lacks atmosphere. The decor is naff and the choice of furniture is poor for a restaurant, getting in and out of the chairs around the table is difficult and the servers a forced to either lean over you or hand you the plates. The place could do so much better.
