Had a wonderful time here. First time in cookstown and the bouncers were so welcoming showing us around the bar. Alastair, one of the bouncers made an amazing effort in making us feel welcomed and had great conversations. The cocktails were also amazing and the decor and atmosphere was brilliant

Had a burger and chips in the bar/restaurant and it was delicious. I'd especially like to emphasize how high quality the meat in the burger tasted. It tasted far above your average burger. Staff were polite and helpful. Dessert was an Oreo sundae and it was fantastic. It had crushed Oreos with the ice cream. Only a discrete complaint; it was quite noisy but there's not much the staff can do to be fair. Good price too. Recommend it for sure.

Avoid this restaurant. Went for late lunch. Place was almost empty but it felt like we were annoying staff by being there. Wasn't overly enthused by menu choices but eventually ordered chicken stack with bacon & leek sauce - absolutely horrible. Clumpy, solid, tasteless mash. Cloying sauce with a weird, almost synthetic taste. Chicken was tough and stringy. Worst of all, the mass of greasy tobacco onions on top dripping into the meal. Cooked in old oil that most definitely needed changing. Couldn't get rancid taste out of my mouth. My mum didn't fare much better with her chicken goujons and chips and side order of onion rings. All infused with that awful old oil taste. Again, chewy stringy chicken. I drew the staff's attention to the issues, particularly with the oil, they took the onion rings off the bill. But I won't return as the food is beyond terrible, the atmosphere almost oppressive. Flies buzzing around our table. Huge changes are needed here.

I have no words to describe this facility! Food tasted store bought (promised to be home cooked), I was going to book myself, my husband and my three children (all under 10 years old) for Christmas dinner but was shocked to find the price being £55 EACH for adults and £29 for children under 11. Me being a mother of three young children I know myself they all wouldn’t eat a lot so why is their price so shockingly large?! That is more less £200 on a carvery which will be located in a small, out dated, stuffy room room which looks like a 19th century’s school! The music is unbearably loud and it is always the same, it is old school country which I have even found that most of the older customers cannot stand. The staff is poor quality but I believe that many are under aged, the young girls are often seen running around like headless chickens with no help, once or twice I’ve heard management be rude and disrespectful also adding they provided the workers NO HELP! The food can be ok at some parts but like I’ve recently wrote, tastes very branded and not homemade. Once or twice the utensils I’ve seen have had old food stuck to the handles and water stained marks. Going into a restaurant which is meant to be ‘classy’ and ‘well took care of’ I hate to think that the cutlery isn’t being washed correctly. Serious need of inspection needed!

Made to feel very welcome, good choice of hot or cold food. A friend had the soup of the day and we chose a scone and jam. The scones were soft and creamy to the taste. Our coffees were a good tasty version. The owner of the cafe was both warm and welcoming. Making sure we were happy. He gave us a brief history of the area and surrounding places of interest. I would recommend this eatery without any hesitation.
