Down to earth and homely Restaurant / cafe. Staff are so friendly and sociable. It’s like a big family. It reminds me of childhood cafes and is so warming. The food is good, affectionately I think of it as the local greasy spoon. Its a happy place, mixed with young and old. Prices are as old as the place itself. A older gentleman I knew come here as a boy, he was 80’s when was telling me how it’s kept its charm. If you want designer or chain then this isn’t the place for you, if you know what Sid’s cafe - OFAH means then you will definitely love this place. It’s classic charm, classic prices, a true hidden gem!

I called for the second time in a few months for a cooked breakfast while my car was being serviced.A very friendly and efficient service, by a highly experienced waitress; she "livens the place up" with her banter with regular customers - whom she treats like family!A very efficient service; food nicely cooked, well presented, and at the right temperature. The restaurant is "cafe-style". Decor accordingly. Hygiene good.Wheelchair-friendly.

Gaynors has been in the town for as long as I can remember. Has a takeaway as well as sit in. Their Fry Special is great, your Ulster fry and a pot of tea for £3.99. Served until 11am.

Had not been in this place for years but we decided to give it a try one lunch time, I must say the food was very nice and at a reasonable price. The service was good, the only down side would be a lack of space when entering with a pram but would still return.

Today was our second visit to this amazing café which we originally found by chance and once again we were not disappointed Again the service and the food was wonderful, order taken quickly and the food arrived soon afterwards piping hot and very generous sized portions by staff who couldn't do enough for you. I had a very enjoyable sausage ,bacon, egg and chips with a pot of tea and my wife had a cheese burger and coleslaw and chips and diet coke and she really loved the flavours of the food. If your ever in the area and fancy either a quick snack or a more substantial meal then head for Gaynor's Café in Church Lane I can promise you wont be disappointed. Next time we return we plan to try out the dessert options they sound wonderful and I don't think it will be long before we return to such wonderful hospitality and also don't forget the reasonable prices.

Gaynors, has been in business as long as I can remember, handy wee café to the town centre, its location , is in a lane just behind the town clock, good spot for a fish and chip, or a quick snack, hard to get seated at lunch time as its always busy.

It's a chippy but a great one. I even had a Christmas dinner here for the blokes in the family a great turkey dinner with veg and fresh cut potato chips and a real laugh with the staff. The kids couldn't believe it all the good bits of Christmas dinner and chips too. It isn't posh but its hearty, friendly and serves a first class of coffee as well. On a cold day it beats the clogs off a salad and you can still get custard on your desert.

Sometimes all you want is a typical, old style, cafe meal and my wife and I often drop in to Gaynors for just that. There's nothing posh about it, it's almost the sort of place you remember as a child. They've always been known for good fish and chips and have a little takeaway counter just next door to the main restaurant which is dead handy although this doesn't stay open late.

Been here years ago and thought I will try it again. Just as greasy and bad as first time. Mind you decent chippys in the area are hard to find. But I think this was the worst. still it has been consistently bad over many years.

This place was absolutely fantastic. We have an autistic son and taking him anywhere is difficult but Gaynors r family run and can appreciate that kids can be hard work when dining!! The staff r amazing especially ruby who is chatty and helpful. The food is homemade and is both delicious and reasonably priced! Its our no 1 stop for either breakfast lunch or even a coffee and catch up with friends. .

Chippy. Lets not get too excited. Long are the days my dad would have told me about this place from his School days (thats over 50 years ago). Its lost its crown long since then. However, very Impressed that it has stayed in business, I admire that. Its in a nice spot, secluded little side street and no doubt has a loyal customer base. I count the food average and a bit greasy.

This place is a great family run cafe that has stood the test of time. Others have come and gone but Gaynors carries on. Good no nonsense value for money food served by cheerful friendly staff. The place is spotless and my personal favourite is the breakfast special which is a mini Ulster fry and a pot of tea all for £3, excellent.
