Was there twice for food and cocktails with my family. Second time everything is absolutely gorgeous. We had fried feta and pork belly bites for starter and fish for mains for the first time. Bang bang chicken and pork belly bites again 😊 for starter, ribeye steak, duck and Greek salad for mains. Some cheeky cocktails for dessert 😁 And loved it again 😊 couldn't recommend this place more 👌🥰

Hadn't been for years and went for lunch with family recently. I was bowled over by the ambience, elegant décor and high standards. The Seagoe is a really impressive establishment and clearly well run by management and the waiting / bar staff were very professional and engaging - the quality of our lunch was superb in terms of quality, presentation and flavour - a little more expensive that competitors but you get what you pay for - we thoroughly the whole experience and have already booked for a follow up lunch - keep it up guys.

Just had Sunday lunch and all three of us agreed that the food was very good and plenty of it. Service was excellent. Service started well, staff friendly. Food pleased my family, I however was disappointed in my turkey and ham dinner. Roast potatoes dull, very little ham and very little gravy. Lots of dry potato if you are hungry though. Vegetables hard to identify but tasted good. Requested a dessert menu that did not come so didn't have dessert. Not likely to recommend to friends.

If you order a Sunday roast and expect that piece of meat they used to have that was quite thick and sat up on the plate (you know the one that collapsed into the plate and fell apart as you sliced it). Well that one is now gone. Instead, what you get is one piece of FLAT meat that looks like a steak and is quite tough. I will definitely NOT go back even if the owner contacts me and offer myself and my family to go back for free. We just won't eat there again. Anyway, we won't be back! Also, the Yorkshire Puddings were horrendous as well. I would post the pic, but do not see how or where to do it.

So so disappointed with dinner here last night. Dined here 13th July and a few months before that. Food was exceptional. Dined yesterday with my 3 sisters for a birthday celebration. I had my usual chicken goujons and they were only small crispy ends with almost no chicken. One sister had the roast Turkey and ham- -mostly stuffing with some vegetables which were practically unrecognisable. Another sister had haddock which was overcooked. The waiter mistakenly took the wrong order for the 4th sister and she was served salmon with roast potatoes which were obviously reheated - she had asked for chips. Again, it was hard to decipher what the veg was. We were very very disappointed. Desserts were lovely. Service was good- waiter kept telling us that he’d report all back to the chef. It was so bad, the waiter removed the price of our teas. So so disappointed.

Just been for Sunday lunch and feel compelled to leave a review. £ 23.95 for a roast dinner was absolute daylight robbery. So order was placed and the food arrived quicker than a McDonald meal in a drive in. Turkey and ham roast with one miserable very small slice of ham and more stuffing in the turkey roulade than turkey! Very bad experience and won’t be back.

We had our wedding here last week. All decor was nice and the day went ok though I’d have preferred it to go a lot better. Staff didn’t follow instructions properly and made a complete disaster of the seating arrangements. One barman to serve drinks when he disappeared to make cocktails at the other bar we were left with no bar staff. There was nobody about to ask if we were happy with things. Our own decorations brought in went missing and we had to contact the dj and registrar for these. Very disorganised and when emailing them it took several emails before I even got an apology. We were very disappointed with the service.

Dined in the restaurant, had chosen Seagoe as they offer a good vegan/vegetarian selection. Something which is hard to come by in Co. Armagh. Restaurant has a welcoming but luxury feel. The recent updates here have really added a touch of class. Opted for vegan nut roast, absolutely beautiful. My omni partner had chicken supreme, which was also thoroughly enjoyed. Service was efficient. Portions aren’t huge but this allows some room for tasty dessert! Well-marked menu if you’re looking for vegan/vegetarian/gluten free and even the wine list is labelled for Vegan wines. Will definitely be back. So happy as a veggie to have a roast dinner option!

Abit disappointed with this hotel, we go away every couple of weeks on hotel breaks. My husband went to reception to ask could we have a 3rd chair in our room because their was 3 of us , didn't get good response but he did say he would send one up. Chair never arrived. We booked dinner in the restaurant but when we arrived it was closed for renovations, that was ok asked where were we booked for dinner, upstairs or in the lobby he just said he didn't know. We went up to Bar upstairs and asked up there, girl said she didn't know. Eventually found a nice man who looked up computer and said we were booked in downstairs . When we arrived for dinner waiter looked up and couldn't find out names but went in and found us a table. We booked dinner before we arrived online. Head waitress came with cutlery and just threw them on the table. Food was lovely except my husband had Waldorf salad which said on menu with walnuts ( main ingredient ) head waitress came back and asked how was everything , my husband just said lovely but no walnuts or celery in it , she wasn't very happy him said do you want me to tell the chef ? He said okay. She never came back with a reaction about it. I saw her tell other waitress to clear table. Breakfast was lovely and waitress was very friendly . 2nd time at this hotel, don't think we will be going back. Shame because it was a trip for my adult sons birthday.

I took my nieces and their children to lunch on a Saturday afternoon. I think the initial meeting with the women who showed us to our seats, set the tone the lunch .She wasn’t friendly, little eye contact and generally appeared preoccupied. We ordered the kids three children meals, with three adults ordering club sandwiches with fries. I believe the sandwiches were titled ‘Gormet’ but they were far from it! The bread wasn’t toasted with cheap sliced sandwich ham and wafer thin sliced chicken used as fillings. The sandwiches were the same quality as those local meal day club sandwiches from supermarkets. We were asked twice about our meal. I said it was disappointed with the quality of the food. There was an apology from a first staff member then a second apology from a member of staff. They said they would inform the chef. I expected a different outcome but with two small babies and two children it wasn’t the place to escalate matters We left the seagoe extremely disppointed. Even though this place is very local to us, we haven’t eaten there for quite a while, largely because we were a bit disappointed with our previous visit a few years ago. Then the food was OK, not outstanding, but priced as if it were something special. Service was a mixture of lovely people, only too happy to help, and surly people who probably shouldn’t have been working in the hospitality industry at all. We went back as a treat for a family member who said all its problems were behind it, but sadly things are no better. The problems with service are exactly the same, but the quality of the food, while still considerably over-priced, has actually deteriorated. The waitress who brought our food to the table was extremely pleasant as was the young man who served the wine, but for it to be a hotel bar, the range of drinks was poor. Only one of the four of us was satisfied with the single course she chose. Even our star guest who had chosen the venue was dissatisfied. The curry in particular was unpleasant.

Very disappointing. I was here over a year ago for lunch and the service then was terrible, I’m sorry to say it has not changed. We were there for a birthday a few days ago, and had to ask for menus after being seated for 15 min and not having been offered any menu. Food is so overpriced, £9.25 for a salted chilli chicken starter, over £6 for two small slices of garlic bread. Children’s meals were not brought out with the starters, and took an hour to arrive. We had to ask the staff if the children could get their meals as they were very hungry, to be told we should have told them that we wanted them with the starters, and that the delay was because there was wedding food going out at the same time (nearly 8pm?). I had ordered Thai green curry from the specials menu, it was much too spicy to eat, I don’t mind a bit of spice but this was so spicy I couldn’t even taste the flavour and was unable to eat it, I would have appreciated something on the menu to indicate how spicy it was! The biggest problems though are the service and the grossly overpriced food, yes we are all subject to inflation but this is ridiculous. I will not personally be back.

This is not a reflection of the staff we encountered as they were all very kind and helpful. It must be difficult for them to work with such low quality overpriced food and probably deal with multiple complaints daily. My boyfriend and I called in for a Sunday roast just after 8pm this evening. We first off ordered a round of drinks, the Heineken given hadn’t even been in the fridge. We then had soup for starter, there wasn’t anything wrong with it, it was probably the nicest thing we had. When our main came out, however, we both looked at each other in shock. For a price of £18.95 per roast to have a carrot and parsnip sliced in half, baby potatoes roasted that were rock hard and possibly reheated from earlier in the day, 4 Brussel sprouts and a tiny portion of turkey and ham, is extortionate. We were in absolute shock when our bill totalled £58. We came out to have a lovely meal and would be happy to have paid the price had it of been worth it. But for what was put in front of us, has made us feel completely robbed and hence leaving this review. Hopefully someone takes this on board and will get in touch.

Called in at 6pm, hadn’t booked but restaurant was not at all busy. We waited over 5 mins before a lady came to show us to our seat. We waited another 10 mins before a man brought us a menu. I said to him that I thought we had been forgotten about as 2 new customers had come in & they got menus straight away. He was not amused & a little sarcastic. From we entered the restaurant it was over 45mins before our food reached us. Then I had to go over to the bar to ask for cutlery as we weren’t given any, a little more sarcasm from the same man. This restaurant’s saving grace was that the food was good but our dining experience wasn’t & we didn’t bother with dessert even though I do like my dessert & coffee. If they had been very busy I could have overlooked all things but it left me wondering why did the lady not give us a menu or take our order for drinks straightaway. I was for walking out but my friend was very hungry. And as I said, the food was lovely.

On Sunday 4 December my friend and I went to Dining Room for a late lunch. Had to ask could we be served after sitting at least 30 minutes with no-one coming near us. We then had to wait another hour to get 1st course and then another 40 minutes before 2nd course came. My meal was hot and tasty, but my friend's steak was raw. A lovely girl called Laura was so apologetic, but we knew it was not her fault. Meal was not sent back as we were not prepared to sit another hour. Not a very pleasant experience. No price on children's menu and when I asked even that wasn't correct when we went to pay our bill. Hotel was busy but no excuse for poor service. Almost 2 hours to be served a 2-course meal.

Went for lunch today. Sat for 30 minutes in the restaurant. No one came near us. Left with no food and probably not even noticed by the staff. Totally unacceptable and unprofessional. Surely the manager should see that every table is covered by a memeber...

Food is delicious, beautiful decor, lovely & relaxing. Great for short notice & group bookings. Great specials nights. New owners have made a lot of changes and continuing to do so. Suggestions as in spa, hot tub, etc as sadly this is the only hotel in Portadown.

Enjoyed my stay. A business trip so didn't get to enjoy or explore everything. The hotel is really nice, with delicious food. I think that they may have been understaffed, as service was a little slow at times. My room was nice and spacious and the bed very comfortable. I found the lack of an aircon a negative as I found it very warm in the room, despite turning the heaters off. I only realised that the heaters were on after my first night🤣🤣🤣.

18 of Killicomaine Jubilee Club went here for our Christmas Lunch. The room was freezing ( a member of staff did bring a tiny fan heater out). No Christmas decorations on the tables, not even a cracker or Christmas napkins. No background music. The turkey parcels were only half ones, one cocktail sausage, one roast potato and mashed potatoes Roast beef dinner consisted of 2 wafer thin slices and same as above without the cocktail sausage. Plenty of vegetables. The dessert wasn't the greatest either. Our end of year meal and venue was so disappointing. One of the members described it as soulless and that's what it was at a cost of £19.95 each. Not a bit of wonder we were the only one's there
