The best restaurants serving British food in Great Ayton Hambleton Yorkshire and The Humber

Excellent restaurant. The food and service were top class.

I have been in Great Ayton for a few days and visited the chip shop twice, I have gave it 5 stars for good reason. Shop is immaculate and so clean, staff are so polite and helpful, but finally the food quality is superb. The cost for the food is also really good, opening times vary but if you are in the area, go visit it, as you will not be disappointed.

Visited here for some lunch mid-week. After seeing the reviews we had high hopes but we were left a little disappointed when we found that our jacket potatoes were pretty cold- lukewarm at best. The coffee was great though, and we liked that it was dog friendly.

Yummy food, lovely small friendly atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Perfectly placed along the Cleveland way.

What a little gem of a cafe. Breakfast service is personal and welcoming. The menu was taylored to my choice and so tasty. Yet to enjoy the evening menu but it always looks so warm and welcome when I drive by in an evening.

Visited on a Wednesday morning having booked online. Beautiful setting in lovely countryside, ample parking & the bistro area itself was really nice. My wife had the banana break, I had the full breakfast plus coffees, both of which were excellent.

We popped in for some hot chocolate and tray bake while out exploring the local area. We walked along a short country path from Great Ayton, where we were staying. It was grey overcast afternoon and the rain was threatening, so we were glad to break up our walk and get some energy for the walk back. Nice modern venue, with friendly staff in a lovely location. Our treats were great too. Look forward to popping back in the next time we are in the area.

Good value Sunday Lunch with all the usual trimmings, Pork was good and a piece of crackling, 2 Yorkshire puddings, nice cauliflower cheese and swede mash, The rest was the usual veg you get with a Sunday lunch, Plates were hot which is a good sign, A very good sticky toffee pudding and custard, Toilet are very clean, 2 good guest Ales, bonus for us ale drinkers as we all don't drink Lager or cider, Return, definitely.
