The best restaurants serving British food in Finningley Doncaster Yorkshire and The Humber

I just moved to the area and saw this fish shop advertised, went on line with ease I booked my choice of food, I arrived and as I had pre ordered my food was ready and I bypassed the queue. The chips were excellent and the haddock was fresh tasty and meaty, I will definitely be revisiting and have already recommended, thank you.

What can I say, other than Fabulous! I visited the first time tonight as part of a large party of work colleagues. What a lovely evening in the best location. The restaurant and bar area is stunning, the log fire makes it so cosy. The service and range of drinks was spot on. The food was beautiful, everything was cooked to perfection, hot and brought out in good time, but not rushed. Overall a great evening, I cannot find fault with anything, it was perfect. I will be returning and highly recommend, you will not be disappointed.

Took our grandson out for lunch and the service was outstanding, Mikey served us at the bar so friendly and professional and the food was lovely too my grandson loved the kids curry and rice and then the strawberry sundea. Highly recommend and will be back soon.

Reservamos la sala de actos, Pavos Reales, para una gran reunión familiar. La habitación era preciosa y agradable y cálido. La comida era excelente. Elegí Camembert con salsa de arándanos para empezar seguido de la cena de Navidad. Ambos estaban deliciosos, el pavo tan tierno y todo estaba sabroso y servido con tubería caliente. Terminé con baileys cheesecake también delicioso. El personal era encantador y muy servicial. Tuvimos una tarde fabulosa y no puedo recomendar lo suficiente. Excelente!

What has happened to a good eating place? VERY poor visit. Service poor and erratic and coffee machine switched off at a given time regardless of customers . Not what we expected from a usually good restaurant

We popped in on our way past for a few drinks, they weren't doing food that evening but said we could go to the chip shop and eat them in there. The staff were very friendly and there were quite a few locals chatting, drinking and playing darts. We will be back another time for Sunday lunch.

We’ve been to McCallum’s Bank End Farm shop and Cafe for lunch. The farm shop is excellent, with a great choice of fresh produce so we stocked up on a few essentials like pork pie, cake and salad! We had lunch in the cafe, the guys had steak pie, chips and peas but I forgot to take a photo until they had almost finished eating 😞. The girls had home made lasagna, and quiche with salad. Everything was tasty and great value! I would have liked the meal to be served on hot / warm plates as everything cooled down quickly, and the coffee was not as hot as we like it, but other than these minor points, we enjoyed our lunch and will visit again soon!
