Lovely little tearoom. We had the lasagne and it was beautiful and red hot. Staff very friendly. Coffee great. Well worth a visit.

What a great find. We live within the local area and decided with friends to go out for dinner and drinks. Trying to get taxis in our village is always difficult unless pre booking. The Sloop Inn solved this problem for us as we both have camper/motorhome so picked here as we could park up for the night. Lively atmosphere and the food was proper pub food. Tasty perfectly cooked and amazing service. The lady serving was so friendly and welcoming we will definitely be returning. Great pub great food and an amazing sleep in our motorhome.

I agree with the other reviews that the food is excellent, however, I felt that the service we were given was a lot cooler than that given to those who are obviously regulars. This left us feeling quite uncomfortable and as though we were imposing upon them.

This is a little gem of a place. The food is first class and the service is perfect. Understandably, the restaurant/cafe was busy. If you want a good meal for a good price, this is the eatery you need to visit.

We visited this tearoom after while back after a hike and what we had to eat and drink was amazing. The coffee was perfect, which is rare. The food was lovely, I had a lavender scone. A true oasis.

I have attended a few times with my family on a weekend after falling out with the place previously last year.. EVERYTHING is better… I usually have a breakfast or a sandwich but my partner has whatever lovely special is on offer without hesitation. He had an amazing lamb burger a couple of weeks ago, then this week had a “Cubano sandwich” and WOW! None of them disappointed. This week we also divulged into taking home a piece of cookie pie(not sure if they bake them in the kitchen there or somewhere else) If you love chocolate I recommend getting one because they are to die for too. The service could use a little work in terms of attentiveness but overall were much better than the last time we attended. Take a bow cooks! This place seems to be heading in the right direction and will now recommend to anyone!

Nos alojamos en el sitio así reservado para el desayuno del domingo. Pequeña selección de opciones de desayuno. Personal muy amable. Habitación muy limpia que se une al bar. Vista agradable a una sala de estar al aire libre. Tuvimos un desayuno pequeño y grande todo cocinado a la perfección y productos de buena calidad muy sabrosos. Sin duda probaremos su almuerzo del domingo en una futura visita.

Called in on cold Feb morning, warm welcome and quick service. Nice coffee, nice sourdough toast but the highlight was the almond croissant, probably the best we’ve ever had. Recommended

A regular stop off whenever we’re in Selby. The food is fantastic whether it’s a quick snack, full on Sunday lunch or special occasion. Mat, Gemma, Di, Chaba & all the staff are polite, respectful and… efficient. An enjoyable experience. Can’t recommend highly enough.

**Worst customer service i have ever received.** I firstly visited to get a voucher on behalf of my grandparents. My grandpa had spoke to them on the phone who said we would have to specially come in for a voucher: as they are not local me and my sister went in. We were told on the day we couldn’t get a voucher that day and would have to come back as there was a private event on later in the evening- we were spoken to in a rude way and simply rushed out the resteraunt. I can understand if they were busy, however at this point there were simply two customers in the premesis. This issue was dealt with over messages in a professional way and my sister managed to pick up the voucher. We thought everything was sorted. However, 2 weeks from this when a booking was tried to be made, I was informed that my mum was told’l Ah yes! Sorry I've been waiting to finalise things with the landlord of the cross keys before announcing publicly what's happening. But yes you definitely will be able to use your existing gift voucher in the new venue. As for time frame, I am waiting to hear back from the architect and builder about the quoted price I'm hoping to hear back on Tuesday next week. From there it should be a couple of months to get turned around!’ She then asked if there was a sistering resteraunt and that this response seemed awfully vague. To this she was told ‘ Not at the moment, I am looking at doing something in another pub in the meanwhile between the cross keys and the new project though!’. The website is now no longer accessible either. To sum this up- uovo no longer exists for the time being and they aren’t sure when the new premises will even be ready to have the dining back up and running. I am just disappointed that the company allowed us to purchase a voucher of £120, most likely knowing the future of the business; it would have just been easier if they had told us this so we could have spent that money with a business where a meal would have been able to be booked. Luckily we have been refunded but the way this was done was even more shocking. The response both me and my sister received was so unprofessional and cold. I am still in shock about the messages we received: my sister was certainly not rude and i know for a fact these messages were sent as they had been caught out for taking people’s money wrongly. I am just grateful we have been refunded. I honestly wouldn’t have felt the need to share this publicly until we received the messages we did today. So incredibly shocked and disappointed.

Do not go to this cafe this cafe has been shut since covid. I did a mountaineering job to get to this cafe today and it's flipping well shut.

Terrible experiencia. La comida tardó más de una hora en llegar, el personal era grosero y cuando la comida llegó estaba fría. Posiblemente el peor servicio al cliente jamás experimentado. Otras dos mesas salieron mientras estábamos allí.
