Do not go to this cafe this cafe has been shut since covid. I did a mountaineering job to get to this cafe today and it's flipping well shut.

If you are up on the Chevin for a walk - dont forget to call in here and grab a drink and a snack. Great view of the town from this vantage point.

Friendly staff. Bacon butty and a coffee for only £3 Very good value. I was walking from Cookridge via Bramhope along the Chevin and down to Otley. Thought I'd drop in on my way down. The weather was not great but I spotted the White House through the trees on the descent from the Chevin and popped in for a coffee.I smelt the bacon and had a sandwich as well. Good views from the terrace over Otley.

We normally park up at surprise view and haven't been down this far as normally just do a loop and don't go down the steps. Today we decided to go down a bit further. The white house is easy enough to find. We had been walking around for a good hour so decided to stop for a tea. They serve all types of hot drinks, all £1 which is a fantastic price. If you a feeling a bit hungry they serve jacket potatoes and sandwiches. All for a bargain at £2. I think this will be a regular stop on our chevin walk from now on. Its not open that long each day, if i can remember correctly sat,sun 11-3.

As this cafe is halfway up or halfway down The Chevin in Otley, depending where you have parked your car, it needs a little walk to get there. It is very reasonably priced, being a not for profit establishment. We only had hot drinks and some cake as it was near to closing. Our brief visit will not be our last though. There is lots to see in the cafe, highlight today was observing three nestbox cameras and the parent birds coming and going with insects to feed their broods.

A great stop when you are out walking on the Chevin. You have to walk as it is only accessible by footpath. It is run as a social enterprise, employing adults with learning difficulties. The menu is simple - jacket potatoes, toasted, cold and hot sandwiches, cakes, biscuits and ice creams but who wants a big meal half way through a walk. It is exceptional value - £2 for a sandwich or jacket potato and £1 for any hot drink including hot chocolate topped with cream. You can add salad to your potato or sandwich for only 50p. This is exceptional value as you get freshly made coleslaw, potato salad and garden salad which takes up half the plate. The inside has information about the Chevin and the outside has a patio area with great views.

Definitely worth the walk halfway up Otley Chevin. The White House is a not for profit cafe run by volunteers and young adults with learning difficulties. All the staff are welcoming and friendly. Hot drinks for about £1....nice pot of tea and little biscuit very welcome after a hike! The food is great value also. Seating inside is cosy, picnic style tables with fabulous views outside. Dog friendly. I hope it continues to operate for a long time with our support as it provides a valuable function in the community.

I visit the White House Café which is hidden away on Otley Chevin at least once a week. They serve a great cup (pot) of tea as well as a variety of other drinks & tasty snacks. It caters for walkers, day trippers, children & dogs, the staff are always friendly (it is run by adults with learning difficulties supported by Leeds City Council’s Adult Services) & the service is excellent!! The prices are VERY reasonable (£1 for a pot of tea with a complimentary biscuit) The views are fantastic.....

Dog and human friendly. Jacket potatoes, toasties, hot drinks and chocolate for the wife. Dog biscuits for Harry....you've guessed the dog. Oh and child friendly too. We love it, no matter what the weather. A big thank you to the helpers and mentors.

Best fried egg north of the Severn Estuary! Recently moved to Somerset but wanted to show off my Leeds credentials to my other half. Tribeca City Cafe fulfilled all expectations with a superb full English breakfast and coffees to match, all served promptly with refined professionalism. Had a friendly chat with the owner who definitely deserves your custom if you're anywhere nearby. If you can find your way to the magnificent Leeds Town Hall then this superb basement gem of a cafe is only a few yards away. Extra tables at street level also if the sun shines. You won't be disappointed!
