Little Acorns in York

Went to try out the bingo on Saturday evening. We could have been approached much much better, with not being members.! Unfortunately we won't be going again.

Excellent food, cake, coffee and service. Lovely to be able to support a local coffee shop, with all profits going to community projects.

We love the Poppleton Social - friendly staff, quick service, fantastic food, and a great menu at reasonable prices. There's a really lovely atmosphere here! It has plenty of easy parking in the free carpark, and also the play park just next door which is handy for our young family!

This has been a popular restaurant since opening so much so its expanded. 3 of us shared multiple plates all cooked to perfection with a lightness of touch and delicious flavours. Cocktails are amazing and the Reisling is excellent value and whilst it feels like it might be expensive it’s still better value than many tasting menus. My only gripe from inception is the decor looks dated even after the revamp and the lighting is brutal.

I always come to Seacatcher when visiting York. The fish and chips are excellent - beautifully cooked and delicious, fresh fish. The restaurant is spotlessly clean. The manager is very friendly, welcoming and clearly takes a pride in his restaurant. I'd highly recommend the restaurant to anyone visiting York, followed by a very pleasant walk along the city wall.
