The best restaurants serving British food in West Midlands

Lacklustre service and drinks made with sour milk. We managed to get a refund but only after being told that this was normal and the milk was fresh. It really wasn't. Blondie also stale. Outdoor area looking a bit grubby too. Real shame, it's in a great spot and used to be really good. Chocolate cake was nice.

A brilliant visit so much to see and the attractions are amazing ...well worth a visit and the cafe is great

Sucio, horrible, agresivo dueño de este café, que decidió gritarme frente a sus clientes y otras personas que estaban en la carretera porque me había estacionado en la carretera lateral y aparentemente estaba causando que no pudiera dirigir su negocio. – Oye, ¿cómo esperas que dirija a mi hombre de negocios? –los brazos agitando en el aire, él se me acercaba mientras yo pasaba por delante de la carretera. Él es el hombre negro alto, con toda la ropa negra. Le pedí que no me gritara y si me equivocaba movería mi coche. Para que quede claro, no aparqué delante de su café, no aparqué delante de su coche, así que no estaba bloqueado. Simplemente aparqué en una carretera lateral frente a un bordillo elevado. De ninguna manera mi coche le estaba causando inconvenientes. "Hombre, lo consigo cada 30 minutos", eso es todo lo que podía reunir. Ciertamente carece de inteligencia para disculparse conmigo después de que haya movido mi coche, todo lo que tengo es un encogimiento de hombros. Nos dicen que apoyemos a nuestros negocios locales, pero este es un negocio local que no pensaría en apoyar.

Worst breakfast I’ve ever eaten. Woman behind the counter was polite and looked like she was listening although wasn’t at all as everything was wrong. Asked for bacon and sausage roll and a cheese and bacon roll, 2 cans of pop, 2 blue drinks and a white coffee. My friend ordered simple things too such as an oat cake. They didn’t have any oat cakes or nice bread. Waited almost an hour for food to be cooked. But we weren’t actually waiting for our food. We were waiting for the lady to cook everyone else’s food first even people who came in after us. Then said everything was in the bag. Burnt bacon. white normal basic bread. No sausages or sauce. Oh and they forgot the cheese and bacon roll so she quickly cooked it and was done in about 5 seconds so I have no idea why we had to wait for so long. Could have walked to the shop bought bread and bacon and sausages and oatcakes, walked home and cooked it all and eaten it in less of the time spent waiting here. Absolute joke of a place. Don’t make a sandwich shop if you can’t even cook a bacon butty or improvise when a delivery is late.

Well I must say went for the first time with my husband the service was good the food was excellent the duty manager Tracey was very good I’d definitely go back

Even though it's on tripadvisor and on Meerkat meals I was advised they no longer serve food. Which is a shame as I'm sure there's a market for it in Weston Rhyn

Stopped by for a coffee whilst walking in the area. Lovely garden seating area. The coffee was average but it is a great place to stop at and enjoy the scenery. They have a few snacks and also ice cream. I was told it has been taken over by a charity helping ex-convicts so it deserves some patronage if you are passing.

Called in for a drink here before going to eat after football, the building is a lovely old building, drinks choice wasn't great, the woman behind the bar was friendly as were a couple of the locals. Speaking of which, it did seem to be a kind of a local hangout for the locals, one or two seemed a bit odd.

Absolutely brilliant and the young person who I believe is called HOLLI was very courteous and really helpful. The service and food especially on a very busy Easter Sunday was excellent. We will definitely be coming here in burton again.

Great pub friendly staff atmosphere superb manager on point

Good job this pub has finally, went with friends a week before it closed and could not believe the attitude of the old lady behind the bar, she was rude and abrupt to the couple before me as she charged £3 for a glass of water with a dash if blackcurrant, poured me a pint of Guinness in a Carling glass which of course was unacceptable, I said i am not having in that, luckily their was a guy behind the bar who fetched s glass from from the back which was obviously much better, she does not have any customer knowledge how on how treat people and to be honest is hopeless behind the bar, thank god the wacky the GK and her has gone .

Wanted Sausage Roll and Tuna sandwich and told to order and pay at till. There was 1 woman serving a gentleman already so stood to the side of him to wait. Then another woman joined queue to my left, then another. Before the gentleman was finished a second member of staff went to the other till (directly in front of 2 women to my left) and said 'next'. I pointed out that I was next and she motioned for me to move in front of her, which I couldn't. She then said (abrubtly) if I didn't want to order/pay then she would serve someone else. If I had been on my own I would have walked out but I was with an 87 year old relative and my mobility isn't great either. The food was appalling!!! Sausage roll was luke warm / cold in middle and grossly overpriced at £6.95. Tuna in sandwich I think had come straight out of tin with no seasoning or mayo and cost £9.95. The place (don't want to call it a restaurant) was very busy and chaotic. I'm surprised that with so many bad reviews for so many years things haven't improved. Needless to say will not return. 😟
