What a disaster had lunch here years ago and brilliant how things have changed now and not for the better I chose prawn baggette and side order of gourmet chips what turned up was a spongy excuse for bread and extremely watered down rose marie sauce with the tiniest prawns ever seen and the chips were reconstituted powder that stuck to the roof of the mouth absolute rubbish My wife opted for the mushroom risotto which turned up as a plate of green rice with uncooked lumps for texture and a bad case of find the mushroom and no taste or flavour whatsoever My pot of tea contained one teabag which was probably the cheapest bought with no strength at all Although we will be back for shopping or garden centre we will definitely not be returning here again I'd rather bring a flask and sandwiches

We stopped here as 2 adults, 4 children (inc a baby) for a bite to eat. Positives We found a seat easily enough despite it being busy Table was clean and plenty of room. Lots of food and drinks choices Staff were polite and friendly Food came quickly and was tasty. Not so positive... Our order was 2 x ciabattas (£8.95 each including a handful of plain crisps and a salad garnish - you can upgrade to chips for an extra £2.50!) and a kids meal of sausage and chips (£7.95). Drinks were 2 soft drinks (£3 each) plus a small carton of applied juice (£1.75). I think this was expensive for what it was. Drinks were draught so not bottled so no need to charge that much. The carton again was nothing special. In hindsight, should have gone for the DIY packed lunch option which seemed better value for money! Ordering is quite confusing...drinks on one station then food on another. Bit unusual and not clear if you haven't been before! You are offered condiments they are not on the table...they come in very small recycled jam pots. It definitely has potential...it was busy when we went. Just perhaps need to review the food prices (appreciate food has gone up but this didn't feel in line with similar places) or perhaps do some different offers... Not sure we'd return sadly.

Can't work out what's wrong here. Confusion (or lack of knowledge) amongst staff with the menus, food not labelled properly, sides with food not as per specification on menu (and some staff not even knowing what is on the plate when delivered). Not so much a staff problem but a complete breakdown of supervision, management and training

We have visited a few times lately to look around the garden centre, but it has been some months since we last ate in the cafe/restaurant. On previous visits, my husband has enjoyed a homemade pie and I like the toasted ciabatta. Went to the drinks counter to order to diet cokes, they came out of a tap, tasted like weak soda stream and cost £3.05 for a small glass. Ordered the pie and ciabatta asking for chips with both instead of mash and crisps respectively. Well, two more uninspiring dishes could not have been delivered. The pie, no longer served in a dish with a lovely puff pastry top looked like something store bought accompanied by hard, over cooked oven chips and strangely a little jug of gravy. No veg, no salad, no nothing, £14.50. My ciabatta had hardly seen any heat and although I had asked for no tomato, what was in the middle, yes, tomato. Again a portion of overdone chips in a flower pot with nothing else no salad garnish. So this meal cost £32.50, I don’t mind paying for something that’s a least edible which the pie was really not. My ciabatta was ok, but not great. Considering it was a Monday lunchtime, it was really busy, but we sadly won’t be back.

I took my 90 year old Nan out for lunch as an early Mother’s Day treat, and although it was a very busy Saturday, we had no problems finding a table. We decided what we wanted to eat, I ordered the quiche, and my Nan ordered a sausage roll. The lady at the till asked us whether we wanted it hot or cold, to which we requested it hot. When it arrived at the table, the waiter asked us whether we’d like any sauces to which my Nan asked for salad cream (Both meals came with salad). While we were waiting for the waiter to return, we both cut into our meals only to find that my quiche was warm on the outside and cold on the inside, and my nan’s sausage roll the same. As the waiter returned, I mentioned that our meals weren’t hot as requested, and to give credit where it’s due, he apologised and swiftly took them away. However, the salad cream that came to the table was in a brown tapas style dish, and was a glue like texture which made it hard for my Nan to put on her salad. It ended up being like a dip for her. On a positive note, when the waiter returned with our meals, we both had fresh food that had been warmed through thoroughly and he apologised again. I couldn’t fault the service from the waiter (young lad with glasses) and he did nothing wrong in this situation. I’m not one to complain, but on this occasion sadly it did disappoint. Not sure how soon i will be returning.

Big breakfast, fast friendly service. They are very generous with their portions. I ordered the country ham breakfast and it came with a whole slice of ham. Most places give only a half. My friend ordered the banana nut pancakes she loved them. She also likes crispy bacon and hers was cooked perfectly.

It’s been a few years since last here. Pot of tea for two, one chicken burger and ham/eggs/chips. Ham appeared to be processed. Service was swift.

I had fish and chips which wasn't the nicest and the peas came in a bowl full of water. My 2 friends both had chicken wraps and salad. The salad was just leaves and nothing else and they both said the wraps were disgusting and they looked it. Very dry chicken no taste and they were supposed to be flavoured. Wraps also dry. They left it all They complained and had a full refund and as it wasn't queried or offered something different we all think this is a regular thing.

Came back from our recent visit to write this review and realised that I'd said pretty much the exact same thing 9 months ago. Sadly it would seem that the management do not read feedback and / or don't care :-( See attached photo: All non meat-eaters are apparently on a diet and we have to pay extra as well for the privilege. I did consider having an extra egg etc but at £1.95 each (?) maybe not. Why they can't have a vegetarian version of the full breakfast, who knows. Veggie sausages, veggie bacon, there's even veggie 'black pudding' available these days. But of course, none of these are available. On a plus note, the vegetarian breakfast was presented nicely and tasted good. But this is not the point I'm making. Please management, provide better options for non meat-eaters and have a few veggie bit and pieces in the freezer 'just in case'.

We tried to have lunch here on a recent trip to the area and we had a small dog with us. There were no signs on the entrance to the restaurant stating dogs were only allowed in the outdoor area so we proceeded to find a table. We got settled and we’re looking at the menu when a rather rude member of staff came up and said I quote’ No dogs!!! They can go outside!!’ Her rude mannerism and lack of I’m so sorry, we have to keep the indoor seating dog free etc etc was extreme and she then stood and watched while we left! Her parting comment was a suggestion of eating elsewhere as they accept dogs so not even offering to find an outdoor table for us where we could sit comfortably and have a meal! We have eaten here before and the food is generally good. The staff are normally polite, friendly and welcoming however we certainly won’t be going there again! Personally I think the woman should be back of house and not customer facing although I pity the staff that have to work alongside!!!!

Ordered chickpea and spinach curry. Substituted baked potatoe for fries. The smallest ramakin came with eight chips in a small container I ate three fork fulls of the chickpea trying to taste the curry. No curry at all and no spinach, just chopped tin tomatoe and almost raw onion. When i decided to complain i was told that and i quote, ill tell the chef but i cant give you a refund because you have eaten half of it Was i sure that it was not a mild curry. My temper was riseing So we left, my wifes quiche was rubbish. Would never return and would never recomend, we live near by.

My wife and I had the Sunday roast (chicken breast). The meal was best described as warm. The vegetables were tasty enough but the chicken was large, dry and tough/chewy. Regarding the latter, I left 50% of mine and my wife did better leaving 25%. In defence of this establishment, we have previously visited on week days having had light lunches (ciabattas, toasted sandwiches etc) and they've been most pleasing.

Have heard such good things about this restaurant. Firstly they seem to stop hot food at 3pm which is a bit disappointing. Not terribly clear that you have to order hot food at the till and your cake/drinks at the other counter! Ranked outside had not been Kesteven and certainly not been wiped over as we used a napkin and it was absolutely black ☹️coffee was not hot enough!! Such a shame lovely venue/setting but doesn’t really flow and is a bit stressful at the ordering etc side. Staff very friendly but needs better organisation 😊

The bacon, Brie panini had hardly any filling just the panini. The “salad “ was a little lettuce and some sweetcorn. No tomato or coleslaw. The scone was half the size you get at most garden centres. Very expensive for what you get and poor quality. Will eat somewhere else next time. Such a shame as it used to be very good

We used to use this restaurant regularly in the days when it was the only choice. Things certainly have not improved since, despite there being some competition now. Disorganised and overpriced. Try the cafe in the craft centre.

First time back since last Autumn. Cannot understand the very negative comments that have been made as we had a very pleasant lunch. Clean tables, friendly helpful staff and good food. What more can you ask - maybe slightly lower prices. My pork chop was excellent, though two varieties of cabbage with the roast potatoes wouldn't be my choice of vegetable given the opportunity. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her butter chicken. We do miss the carvery that used to be available before the lockdown but the menu gives plenty of choice so should suit anyone. We will certainly be back though as we live over an hour away it is not somewhere we visit frequently.

I came to the Valley whilst visiting some family in Evesham, I went round the shops and then eventually came to the cafe my family sat down whilst I queued for food I was stood in the queue for the hot carvery and was greeted by a very unpleasant young lady who had no manners at all. I then moved on to the pay station where I was greeted by another young lady who again was so rude I just wanted to walk out!! No respect for customers and their customer service was shocking. The only positive is the food was very delicious.

Disappointing… ordered a hot chocolate and pot of tea, waited over 20 minutes before getting up to find a staff member to remind them, still took 10 minutes to arrive by which point we needed to leave. It was busy but there were plenty of staff members.

My wife and I visited this pub one Sunday for dinner. Luckily they had one Sunday lunch left which my wife had. I had the steak which was cooked medium just as I had asked for.. delicious 😋 All in all the food served was delicious and the staff were very attentive. We live not too far away so we will definitely visit again soon.

We had a lovely night away in this beautiful hotel, with an extremely comfortable bed in a room in the main house. We had drinks in the bar before exploring the gorgeous gardens and meeting Charlie the kitten amongst the roses. Our evening meal was wonderful. We were offered complimentary Prosecco each (it was our fortieth wedding anniversary) and we started with homemade sourdough and pate which was delicious. For the mains, I chose the lamb which fell apart under my fork and my husband chose the chicken which was moist and delicious. Breakfast was equally fabulous, with a choice of cereals/juices/toast and we had the full English - one with poached egg and one with scrambled - all cooked to perfection. Great place, great food, great service from lovely, helpful and smiley staff - we will return…
