The Old Swanne Inne in Wychavon

Back in 2021 me and my friend visited this establishment. I treated myself to a southern fried chicken wrap with chips. To my astonishment I was served with the biggest chip I've ever seen. A whopping 13.4 inches. I couldn't help but exclaim 'Wow'

We were spoken to very rudely by a member of staff due to an issue with their own system. Today, we ordered two meals and two sides using their app. One of the meals included a baked potato with roasted vegetables, and I also ordered a side of roasted vegetables and coleslaw. However, they missed the coleslaw and the side of roasted vegetables. When the staff member brought over the food, she kept saying, “Make it clearer next time when ordering the roasted vegetables,” as the baked potato already came with roasted vegetables. I explained that it wasn’t possible to make it clearer on the app, as there is no notes section. My order clearly listed the sides separately, which Is shown on a screenshot attached to review. Despite this, she repeated 5 times to “make it clearer,” while I kept explaining it wasn’t possible and that all I wanted was the side of roasted vegetables and coleslaw. Instead of addressing the issue, she continued to argue and eventually told me I was being very rude. I requested to speak to the manager, who listened to my complaint. However, the staff member who had been rude to me did not apologize, and I wasn’t even offered a complimentary drink to make up for the experience. This behavior was entirely unacceptable on her part.

Went for my usual breakfast and it was great, fast service, great food and a good price. Can get busy on s Saturday morning, but can normally get a table.

The atmosphere tonight wasn't good there was a table of 4 blokes and the swearing was bad putting of customer's a few left the building .

No atmosphere to speak of . It is what it is. Ordered a mix grill they didn't have it, so I got a gourmet steak with eggs n chips. Actually really good. Really cool staff . Cheap n cheerfully does the job for a hour or 2

What can i say what value for money breakfast for two under ten pounds i go there a lot and the lady who served us today was loveley and when i asked question she replied very helpful couldnt have asked for more thank you

Like most Witherspoon pubs it's a great place to grab food & a pint. Great prices and great selection of beer.

Bank Holiday August managed to find empty seat full of uncleared left overs piglets must have left food on floor we were stepping in drank up and left

Great food and drink at very good prices

Went with family for several meals. Always good value, friendly staff. This time went for Sunday brunch with friends. Fast service and excellent value as always.

A great place to relax and enjoy good food at a very competitive price. Most meals either include a drink or cost less with a drunk. Drinks can either be beer, wine or a soft drink. Staff are all busy but helpful and friendly.

Popped in for a first visit on a Sunday lunchtime. We were delighted that they weren't serving Sunday lunch. A beautiful old interior, great real ales and friendly service.

Visited here for lunch on Friday 12th July 2024 on our way to holiday in Pershore. Car parking was near by. The pub is a Wetherspoons and was very busy but we got a seat ok. Familiar with the menu, ordered and was duly delivered . The food was really good and price and offers were ok. Customer service was good

First time I've ever visited this place, Staff were very helpful would have got 5* but Weatherspoons bacon has never been brilliant apart from that you know what your getting at Weatherspoons amazing value, which is more than you can say for the town of Evesham, it's really gone down hill so many empty shops it could do with a really good clean up.

I said I wouldn't eat here again. I did what a mistake Had a gourmet 8 oz steak Was OK but never again. Garden peas was terrible. My wife had a fish and chips mushy peas burnt over cooked. Drink is OK but food is terrible. Eat elsewhere I had a nice refreshing drink at wetherspoons. I won't eat the food anymore. It's one of the worst places to eat. We had too many bad meals to try again.its gone downhill, unfortunately Steaks was like Rubber, I have been eating in there for a few years, some good food but a lot of cheap rubbish, My advice is to eat somewhere else. I love this pub, but the food is rank, I thought I would try the food again .Still the same rubbish never again

We visit Wetherspoons in Evesham at least twice a week. All staff are helpful & friendly in particular Tara who works her socks off. It is very noticeable when she isn’t in ie tables not cleared & wiped as quickly as when she is on duty. She works very hard & still has time to speak to the customers to make sure everything is ok.

Tara is a good worker! Amazing infant! Give her a pay rise!!!

Fantastic Fish and Chips, including a soft drink for £7. Special 2 til 5 weekday deal. Ordered on their app and it arrived very swiftly. Freshly cooked to perfection. Staff extremely friendly and helpful as in all the Spoons we visit. They always come and ask how is your meal and the Old Swanne is no exception. Is their better value in the UK? And the company pay their UK taxes unlike many well known chains. Extremely good value with no corners cut on quality. Highly recommend a visit.

Well run pub, food nicely presented and convivial atmosphere

One of the smallest Wetherspoons I've been to but still worth a visit . Very handily located for the shops , the bus stops ( literally just outside the pub ) & a short 10 minute walk to the train station . Refurbished toilets ( about roughly a year or so ago ) a fairly small but pleasant beer garden and seating outside the front , which at the height of the Summer is a great sun trap ☀️ . Free WI-FI . Usually ( they can sometimes be very unimaginative ) one or two fairly decent real ales on here , the usual good value for money Wetherspoons food menu ( not the reduced menu like in some Wetherspoons ) . Also important is the helpful and friendly bar staff here .

Breakfast looked good initially until I uncovered a hidden overcooked egg. The yolk was solid. The egg hiding it was perfectly cooked with a runny yolk. The toast was burnt on one side but placed on the plate so the burnt side was hidden. It was the fact that the overcooked and burnt food had clearly been deliberately hidden that really annoyed me. I was offered replacements but I just said that I wanted to let them know what was going on in their kitchen. The rest of the food tasted fine but other than the hash browns, it was all cold. The coffee was perfect though. No complaints about that. Mind you, it's not easy to get it wrong when it comes out of a machine.

£12 for a meal and an alcoholic drink can't complain and for the convenience of location free street parking after six

Value for money as are all Weatherspoons pubs they are what they are.I was impressed by the manager in the Olde Swan he went out of his way to satisfy customer requirements I noticed he was extremely tactful with some awkward customers sitting near us.With regards food the fish and chips is always a hot favourite plus the indian selection of curry

Visited Evesham last Wednesday enjoyed the area. Went into The Old Swanne for a drink and a breakfast muffin, my mistake I messed up the order. But a fine young man called Matthew soon had it sorted. Great place friendly staff would return.

Bloody expensive and the cake was stale (Cappuccino Cake). Definitely not daily prepared.

The app lets you order things which are not available. Ordered warm cookie dough sandwich with ice cream (which is the standard dessert as listed on the menu) but it came without ice cream. Apparently when something's not available the order goes through as if it's been ordered without that element, no offer of alternative or money off, just half a dessert at the full price. Everything else was spot on, just a shame about the missing ice cream and lack of anything to make up for it.

First time here with my friend reccomandation. The food was not too bad, maybe little bit of seasoning will make a difference.

I love how spoons in evesham do quirky things. For example If you see Dan behind the bar at evesham and you tell him "salty monster" you get a free drink, I think it's a very funny idea really adds to there atmosphere.

Decent enough Witherspoons. Food was delivered in around 10 minutes was hot and tasty. Mixed Grill was on special offer at £4.99, can't be beaten at that price. Lager good too. Perhaps could do an upgrade ,seems a bit frayed around the edges. Staff friendly, not been here for some time and as usual upstairs toilets. Food and drink fairly priced.

I’ve visited this pub for a meal and drinks four times now . I’ve tried a variety of food and different real ales and have been very impressed. Ordered on the app, everything arrives promptly food hot and very enjoyable . Staff friendly, a pay car park behind the premises but I gather limited free parking on street is available. Well worth visiting .

Tara & Charlie have given myself & my visiting brother outstanding service with tonight and I would recommend the Old Swanne Inn in Evesham .

Arrived and a kind man put the ramp at the entrance so that two in my group could take their mobility scooter/wheelchair into the pub. It was very crowded but managed to find a table at the back, although the aisles were quite narrow with tables close together. The staff were very friendly and the food was hot and enjoyable. The prices were good.

Same as every spoons I have been in. Service was good, food was good.

Sadly the food was inedible. Toast was like bread that had see a fire for a few seconds. The scrambled egg was dry, like rubber and over cooked. Thought I could salvage it with brown sauce but none in the pub. Very disappointed especially as scrambled egg is so easy to cook and get right. Think the chef needs retraining.

Came here for lunch with my partner & was served by Tara Middleton who I’ve known many years. Service was excellent & she made me feel welcome unlike the rest of the staff who saw me waiting & ignored me. I’ll decently be back keep up the good work Tara ! 👍

A good place to stay. Close to the river Avon A nice place to sit on a bench with a glass of wine.

We ate here once and loved everything. Leffe on draft a massive bonus. Excellent experience.

I had fish and chips which was great but my husband had steak, half of which was unedible gristle, he was very disappointed. None of the staff asked if the meal was alright as if they knew it was awful. Most times the server asks if everything is OK half way through the meal.

I didn't have food but stopped for a cold pint of Cider on a very hot day and sat in the beer garden. It seemed more like a commercial back yard than a beer garden, gardens have greenery in them but not here
