Stopped by for a coffee whilst walking in the area. Lovely garden seating area. The coffee was average but it is a great place to stop at and enjoy the scenery. They have a few snacks and also ice cream. I was told it has been taken over by a charity helping ex-convicts so it deserves some patronage if you are passing.

The food i ordered never arrived! I called when it was an hour and 15 minutes after i ordered and they said it was just being made now, and it would take another 15 mins or so to be delivered then it was never delivered anyway! Even with the use of codes on Just Eat they managed to mess this up! And as expected of course they are unable to answer their phone to acknowledge my dispute! Won’t be using them again.

Had a lovely lunch at The Lion Inn this afternoon. We were debating on what to choose when the chef came out to see us. He recommended an open tomato, mozzarella and pesto sandwich with homemade crisps and salad which was perfect as I’m vegetarian. My friend chose the cheese and bacon toastie. I’ve got to say, it was amazing, we both thoroughly enjoyed it and the homemade crisps were super and a nice touch. The staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We will definitely be visiting again soon 🤩
