Popped in here tonight for a quick pint and some food. Curry night. Long story cut short.... Her masalla was like water and the bread harder than granite. My naga chilli... Bread was the same and the chicken even harder than granite. Lesson learned eventually.... Had a refund and will never eat there again. Dreadful to say the least

I like the atmosphere in this weatherspoons, it's situated perfectly on the high street. Lemon chicken is amazing and the deserts are mouth watering. Fantastic family dining on a budget - there was 7 of us we had mains, drinks & dessert and it was £82 for all of it.

Excellent quality food. Very friendly young efficient staff. As a visitor to Telford, I was very interested in the information about William withering, and the old pictures of blist Hill, and the birth of the Industrial Revolution. It was one of the most informative weatherspoons I have been in. Excellent choice of real ales that i had not had before.

We didn't have food there as we were only passing. We were sat outside, had been there for about 25 minutes, minding our own business, 4 of us had drinks. We had our two well-behaved dogs with us, and we're ready to leave in about 5 minutes when a member of staff came out. She was quite rude, actually. She told us they do not allow dogs, which we didn't realise and didn't see any signs. The dogs didn't harass any customers either. Won't be visiting again even without our dogs. The member of staff didn't even say it was ok to finish our drinks... No one was going to rush me.

Not the greatest pub I have even been too. I just struggle with the fact that our local Wetherspoons is grim, looks dirty, the mood lighting isn't great I actually think it makes it look grubby. The staff never look happy probably because they are are understaffed and overworked. However, it appeals to others. I went due to meeting friends here it would not have been my first (goto) choice of pub. I know its supposed to be a budget pub but that shouldn't impact on how grim it is. Been to a few other Wetherspoons when on holiday or in another town and they are always much cleaner and atmosphere is much better.

1)The prices have gone up recently but with all the fuel & food prices increasing in the shops I'm not surprised. Good value compared to other places, usual Wetherspoons menu. My 6yr old grandson was very disappointed there wasn't any pizza on the menu (he's had it in another Wetherspoons in Telford). 2)Another visit here today & we both had the Quorn wraps with chips, very pleased with our food today. 3)Today's visit was just for a coffee with my husband. Great place to stop off for a break while shopping in Wellington. £1.25 for a hot drink with free refills - can't really go wrong 4) Yet another visit and today we both had Quorn wraps, one with a side of chips and one with a side salad. Good value and included our drinks - but don't expect many chips if you have it as a side order! 5) visited here this morning (13/07/24) for veggie breakfast, I ordered an extra grilled tomato as I can't eat baked beans for extra 52p, these I gave to my husband - breakfast was very nice but a little cool. CAN I SUGGEST WETHERSPOONS THAT YOU MAKE SURE ALL FOOD IS SERVED TO CUSTOMERS HOT and YOUR MENU INCLUDES AN ALTERNATIVE TO BAKED BEANS PLEASE.....

Doctor William Withering was born in Wellington in 1741, he discovered and developed digitalis which is made from the dried leaves of the purple foxglove and used in the treatment of heart disease. With more than a hint of irony, Wellington now has this Wetherspoons pub named after him. Cheap alcohol and food a-plenty is now what THE William Withering is primarily known for. We were there for lunch on a Friday afternoon. The building was full of people more than happy to sit inside listening to their coronary arteries slamming shut like fire doors in an inferno. The actual pub was pleasant enough and our lunchtime curries fitted the bill more than adequately. Tasty, well cooked and most importantly, hot. No artery slamming for us, but lots of bowel opening instead. The garlic certainly had a kick…

Unfortunately, a pivotal member of staff must have left this spoons. It USED to be great food, served very quickly and very nicely by the staff. Been in there thrice over the last couple of weeks. First time, the steak came without the pepper sauce. By the time it did get there the rest was eaten or it would have been cold. Went this Saturday. Another steak, this time ordered with the Jack Daniels glaze. When it came, the same waitress said.... They'd none of that left so you're left with bbq and presented a thimble full of cold sauce. Took the grandaughter in there tonight, brunch ordered without beans, it came with beans. So by the time it came back out, mine was cold. Admittedly the prices have dropped but so have the standards. Also, on all 3 occasions we've had to clear the tables ourselves and were left with tables more sticky than a 90s niteclub dance floor. Put the prices back up, call the member off staff who's left, apologise and let's have the old William Withering back. That poor botanist will be turning in his grave. Have to say though that Daniel the waiter tonight was brilliant in trying to resolve this.

Having not been here in some years, we decided to pop in with friends, heaving of a lunch time around 1pm. Kids meals are a little on the thin side if you have children that can eat a decent sized meal, so we opted for the adults versions of the kids meals which really helped, they enjoyed a pudding as well with extra toppings for a few more pence, this was simply amazing for our kids and they loved picking their own choices to tailor their pudding to their tastes. Food has much improved since my last visit and I was pleased with this, choices of sauces with meals is good and I applaud anyone who doesnt serve a salad with a sauce already applied, options are always appreciated. The serving staff were lovely with the kids, and very polite and friendly, despite it being so busy nothing was too much. I would come again especially on a Saturday afternoon.

As a group we managed to find 3 tables together but had to clear them and clean them ourselves with cleaning products as staff too busy. Bargain under £12 for fish & chips with a double G&T. Disabled toilet floor covered in water/wee? & loo roll. Staff member came with a mop & bucket, spent 1 minute in there then said "I've put a wet floor sign up so don't slip" & just glared at me!. Few hours later I returned & it was worse and stunk of pee!! 2 young women verbally fighting using bad language but not asked to leave. A staff member just stood there watching!. Our tables weren't cleared so after over an hour we did it ourselves. Staff need training... I understand they are busy but over several hours I didn't see a single staff member smile, be helpful or offer any kind of customer service. I've not only worked in bars and clubs but also had my own pub and customer service is very important. They were like robots!! . I've been in much busier places in London, Europe & America yet the staff have been 10 times better. Only good thing was the prices.

It could do with a lick of brighter paint to lighten the place but that doesn't hugely detract from the experience. They have crammed tables in, though, which can make passing by a bit difficult. Food and service were good, I just wanted to bring to your attention that your chicken tikka masala on your main menu and your daily promotion leaflet show different spice ratings the main menu said it had 1 spice level but the promo leaflet labelled it a 2 spice level, I found this to be very misleading and put me off ordering it as i couldnt make an accurate call on the spice level of the dish, it showed the same calories so I assume it's the same dish. Thank you

Ordered a cookies dough, waffle and two milkshakes. I collected my order for 8pm, although it wasn't ready at 8pm, I was giving a free ice cream for my 5 min extra wait as an apology. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and saved myself £4.50 on delivery (bonus) I asked the staff about parking and was informed to input my reg into their data to get 30mins free, leaving with no fine! Again another bonus I'd say! Very pleased with food, milkshakes and staff.
