Fabulous breakfast 🤤 The place needs a new coat of paint, however the staff are lovely and the food is delicious 😋

Me and my family came in on a Saturday morning ( first time)for my sisters birthday breakfast and was explained there was a wait due to it being full but that didn't bother us we had unlimited teas and coffees which were nice while we waited the service was amazing the lady came and explained that she'd ran out of items so we changed them, atmosphere was just dead on ( I'm hoping we were to loud lol ) we all had bloomers breakfast which were very nice the price was well worth it we are definitely coming again thank you so much

Local pub with a friendly atmosphere. Staff were attentive and friendly, food was top notch.

Glasses were filthy, lipstick still on from goodness knows when?! Didn't hang around to try food. Bar maid swearing with the 'locals', not a good impression. Overall seems not cared for and a certain unpleasant odour lingered in the air.Christmas decorations shoved under the chairs, outdoor wicker chairs used indoors at school desk type tables. Just awful. Would love to know how/when the 5* food rating was given as cannot find anything on website.

Great place for food and drink. Sunday roast is superb 10 out of 10

Came here for a Bad Medicine gig but we didn't eat. Locals are a great bunch, we had a fab evening.

Went to The Turf as recommended by our son. Sunday lunch was the best we've ever eaten out. Veg cooked beautifully, not hard and crunchy, piping got and tasty. A proper home cooked meal. Fantastic value for money and already booked for a return trip. If you are thinking of going make sure you book a table in advance or you won't get in. Definitely recommend you try it

On some occasions I've had a breakfast, decided to try the Sunday dinner today and my hubby and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Played at the Turf last night and felt very safe! was well looked after and the whole pub had a lovely friendly vibe & atmosphere. Plenty of parking, toilets clean, great size bar and i hear the food is incredible 👌 will be returning to try their sunday lunch and cant wait to return to sing! Thank you for having me 🧡 Kerry x

Great pub,amazing atmosphere, friendly staff and locals

On Friday 9.9.22. we visited your pub for an evening meal. We were in the area to watch our son shooting (archery) at Lillishall and chose the nearest venue to our accommodation. The food was excellent and so so generous. This was out shone only by the atmosphere. Everyone we spoke to was warm, welcoming and helpful, both staff and customers. One family, mum, dad and young boy added an extra bonus to our night. The boy was so eager to help in the "Playful Game" of finding our table. He chatted openly and politely- but more so he was so full of life and boyish charm. It was a lovely experience. His parents "watched on" (as parents do, to guide him). His Dad alerted him to when our meal arrived, "give them space now to eat" and he did, no opposition. He took the advice. His parents should be justly proud of him. He has that spirit of "youthful friendliness"; may that spirit last a lifetime. His only intention was to be helpful. Large portions of tasty home cooked food. Good value for money with fish and chips, spaghetti bol and 2 lemonades under £18. Really recommend anyone in the area eat here. Have already decided on my next visit to try the sirloin at £9.95 .

A Fantastic pub with a fab atmosphere. The people who run it are fab and the guy/girls behide the bar are really friendly. Lots of different entertainment! They also do Fantastic food, Sunday dinners are lovely and very filling. We are yet to try the breakfast but hopefully soon we will ❤️

Had our wake here ,staff was very welcoming, the buffet they put on was lovely.

Visited for the first time, most of the draft beers were off as they were having some technical issues in the basement / cellar, but despite this, the staff were very helpful and professional and the landlady was awesome. They were dealing with customers promptly whilst trying to sort issues out, service was great, staff had awesome humour and we also ordered food. The food was amazing, came out hot and steaming, tasted great and of good portion. Well worth visiting and getting a meal there and drinks. Credit to the staff.

Had a lovely traditional sunday roast here last week, best sunday roast iv'e had for ages👍. Would recomend you book early as they are always fully booked before sunday. Good selection of beers and also do a couple of traditional ales as well. Sky sports and large tv screens inside and outside. Staff are friendly and helpful and even the locals make you feel welcome to. Nice little snug area with sofa's to sit back and relax and a nice sized outside garden area partly covered as well for those sunny days. Look forward to visiting again soon👍👍.

Great pub, beer is lovely "Shipyard", the owners are great and very accommodating. Sunday lunch is a must and the weekend breakfast is perfect.

very seedy and felt very unsafe , not comfortable at all - not saying gang related but not far off , wouldnt go back ever , fell against it visiting family memeber in nearby nursing home , spoke to some locals who said avoid like hell

Nice pub, good range of beers, sadly let down by the amount of swearing. I do wish landlords would stamp it out. Not everyone wants to drink in a pub with people using bad language at the top of their voice. I do not think I will be going back

Been going here for years, it's just been taken over with new management and is a lot better, the new management have pride and are hard workers.

Nice and friendly... Good selection of real ales... They haven't been there long but getting better daily
