I go every Friday with my grandaughter who is 3. We have been going for over 3 years to the Deanery. It is euch a lovely welcoming place to eat. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. My grandaughter loves going in and talking to Amy and Danny and the rest of the staff.

Very disappointing. We ordered hot dog and chips with crispy onions - no chips and no onions in the order. We also ordered a burger with cheese - no cheese. A shame really as we had heard good stories but if they can't get an order right then there is little to praise. What we had tasted good however

A great local pub with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The Wigginton is a welcoming pub where you can always count on a good pint and a chat. It’s a proper community pub – relaxed, down-to-earth, and perfect for catching up with other local people. Even if you come alone, there is always a warm welcome. Highly recommended if you’re in the Tamworth area!

After waiting 1.5hrs after our friends food , which we ordered 5 minutes after. There was no apology, they had started cleaning the other people's food, and realised ours hadn't arrived. No help from staff at all. We were told there was a wait due to a big party being present. But like I mentioned. 5 minutes after our friends had ordered, was a bit ridiculous.

I waited at the entrance by the wait here sign. Three members of staff walked past me without acknowledgment so i asked the fourth person for a table and he said in a minute. I was asked if i had a booking and i said no and he said the restaurant was fully booked but i observed it was only one third full at that point so he told me to sit in the bar. I queried this but he said every restaurant table was booked. I sat in the bar and ordered food. The food arrived which was a dried out chicken breast and a small rack of ribs for £19. My wife’s rib eye arrived which was ok for £20 but with the smallest portions of peas and chips. Waiting time was 30mins. When we left the restaurant was still only one third full with ample empty seats available which was the same as when we arrived. I wont be returning.
