Well the people of Tamworth are lucky they can no longer dine here,but us hotel guests,in the middle of nowhere have little choice. A very limited menu has very poor choices.I had Haddock and chips.Here it is £13.99.,no peas.At the Premier inn in Stoke it was £12.99 with peas.You work that out. The battery was so hard at the end I couldn't eat it.I also had a vanilla ice cream. One of the poorest meals I can remember eating.See the photo.

Terrible experience at dinner . Have a severely autistic son who cannot cope around other kids so put on request to please be seated away from this. Was told by a young lady/ manager than they don’t accommodate this at all !!! Not only is this discrimination it’s against the law to do so !! Woman had no clue at all clearly not got kids let alone any with disabilities.. I had a pop and was told they’d call police!! Absolutely disgusting behaviour Had meal .. son was distressed whole time max for very very unpleasant experience Was greeting with same pathetic ignorance at breakfast but luckily guy called Alex who worked in hotel explained to the attendant that what my son has is a disability not a something to be ignored and he got us seated away and was brilliant tbf If you want an experience with young under qualified idiot staff with no clue on how to handle the public this the place to go

The staff are very helpful and friendly. Our favourite food item from the menu is the Haddock and chips. A brilliant location which sadly doomed to closure by Whitbread.

Great service from Kate very helpful and friendly the food was nice although portions were small, drinks were nice and fresh, pub was nice and clean with easy access to the toilets

Had a couple of drinks whilst staying at the Prem. Staff more interested in chatting behind the bar rather than serving. Jobs a chore but go get another if you’re unhappy! Popped back in at 10pm, inexplicably closed though still staffed.

A full on regular here for the u limited breakfast, the food is truly amazing and the service is even better especially Sophie there, honestly her service each and every time we have been has been spot on. She makes you feel welcome and is so polite so it’s nice to see when you come for breakfast that she is here

Disappointing meal, ordered lasagne with a portion of chips. The salad served with the lasagne consisted of half a plate of lettuce with mainly the stalks, two tomato slices and one piece of onion. One very small slice of garlic bread. The skinny fries were limp. Didn’t want to complain as I think the waitress was new and appeared quite nervous. Have visited several times a year for a number of years but this was the worse meal I have had.

Visited on Sunday evening. Our food was cooked perfectly and although it was quite busy, we were kept up to date on wait times by our waitress Alyssa, who was absolutely lovely. We definitely will be returning soon.

We were in tamworth to visit the snowdome. Stopped in the premier in and ate at table to table. Food was great and the waitress, Kate was amazing. Will definitely be going back next time we are up here.

We ate here on a Sunday evening. The restaurant was quiet. Service was good and the staff were friendly. Food quality was OK. It’s low end dining and you get what you pay for. It was t overly expensive. The children’s spaghetti bolognese had been put in the microwave for a little too long it seemed but it was edible. The burgers and chips were nice, can’t really go wrong with those 😬 It’s handy being next to the premier inn and nearby Travelodge.

We had a wonderful breakfast, everything came out beautiful and hot. We hardly had to wait at all, Sophie did a fantastic job making sure everyone was enjoying themselves, that food was consistently replenished in the continental section and generally had a wonderful demeanor. Thanks for a wonderful morning it really set the tone for our day ☺️

As usual I'll get the moans out of the way first, the seating where we were situated was in need of replacing, it was grubby and worn (shiny fabric), it really let the place down as the rest appeared to be in fairly good condition and the chips/fries I had were soft as most were under the fish, need to be proper sized chips with fish, fries go with burgers. We didn't book as it was a spur of the moment idea, but decided to go back as we'd eaten there a few weeks before and had a good meal. I would imagine this place can get busy as its attached to a Travelodge so booking may be advisable, thankfully it wasn't that busy. We ordered drinks from what appeared to be a well stocked bar, which included a couple of handpulls. Meals were served, Haddock made a change from Cod with my fries, and the Lasagne was very nice. The staff, despite being busy, were really pleasant and polite.

Well, this really is a first for me. It's rare that I want to put a good review, and the fact that it's for a restaurant attached to a premier inn is mind blowing for me as I write this review. My overall experience at the centurion Tamworth has been pretty damm good to say the least. Over the last 20 years I've stayed in a lot of hotels and eaten out at a lot of joining restaurants. Whole range of venues (there have been a lot). However today I have to say I was a happy punter. Firstly I walked in without a reservation to a queue of people waiting to be served. When I got to the front I was greeted by Charlie, who served me with a smile despite being rushed off her feet and pregnant. She couldn't give me a table straight away but arranged a table for a suitable time which worked for me and in line with more staff coming on shift. This for me was refreshing having been told "sorry, I can't help you" many times in the past. Having been shown to the table when it was possible, my host and server was Jessica who was amazing. Manners and politeness were 10/10. I was not rushed and she was attentive. I really can't fault the service from either staff that I interacted with. Service aside I have to say the food was bob on too. I like my pies, but it's amazing how something so simple can be got wrong time and time again. However at this venue where I had the chicken and pulled ham pie, I was amazed. The food was pretty damm good and I can't complain (rare for me). Overall I think this is a nice little place and I will certainly be coming back again.

I meet up with my daughter for breakfast here every week. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, particularly Shelby whom often looks after us. Good range of food, quick service and great value for money. Highly recommend

Staying at the hotel and come in for dinner on the evening of the 18th March, staff were great, the manager was really pleasant and friendly, Mac n Cheese bits were very tasty, the Chicken and Ham pie was succulent, tasty and filling and then the knickerbocker glory took me back in time and very flavoursome with a good helping of seasonal berries Great experience, great staff, Great food 💙’d and would recommend

This was our first visit to the centurion. Tamworth we were greated with a smile and quickly shown to our table. Our food arrived steak was lovely, fish pie was average, peas had no flavour other vegerabkes would of accompanied the fish pie better mum had the fish and chips it came out looking like it was left over from the night before, very limp soggy batter, very disappointing. We were told they have been having problems with the cooking of the fish , well if that's the case take it off the menu til problems are solved. That meal shouldn't of left the kitchen. I'd just like to say the waitress was lovely, and does a great job especially has it seems she was working on her own.

Myself and family came to the centurion restaurant for Mother’s Day and had an absolute perfect experience, from the minute we walked in the building the staff couldn’t have been more happy and helpful. “Lisa” the manager showed us to our table a took a drinks order for us straight away which we really liked. The servers sophie and Kate were lovely and both girls made us feel at home. Our food was spot on and couldn’t fault this place one bit! We normally find ourselves writing negative reviews so to be able to have such a fantastic experience was ace.

Came with family for lunch, food ok average not big portion for price service fairly poor but was busy, but place needs good clean, where we were sitting you could see lot of dust on shelves and the corner settee needs good clean hence lost stars on review.

Sophie a newly promoted manager served us and we had lovely service and some nice interaction. The food took literally minutes to come out and was hot and had everything we asked for. Great service and amazing member of staff. Offered a gratuity but she declined which was different.

Lovely plated breakfast and plenty of options to go with it, unlimited toast, cereal, teas, juices etc. Food was very nice. Only thing that stopped it been 5 star was the lack of taking plates away. We had a great 3 nights breakfast and dinner at The Centurion during our stay at the Premier Inn next door, Jo, Alyssa and Emma were all extremely helpful, friendly and a credit to the business, especially considering how busy the restaurant was and always managed to find us a table.

As we were staying at premier inn, had a late lunch here. I ordered the fish and chips and my husband had the chicken and mushroom pie. When food arrived I was surprised at how small the portion was of husbands meal, tiny amount of mashed potato and small portion of peas. To be honest this was more like a child’s portion and was embarrassing. Not enough to fill an adult up. The fish however was decent. The table wasn’t the cleanest and had obviously not been wiped down after previous customers. Nice warm and comfortable place but upholstery needs redoing as a bit grubby. And a lick of paint wouldn’t go a miss. Have to say I don’t think we would return. Breakfast was below average, eggs overcooked, beans and mushrooms very dry. Although food hot, buffet area looked drab, needs a bit of thought, new tablecloths needed, bread needs covering up as very dry.

The moment I walked in I was greeted with such a warm and welcome greeting. After thanking each member of staff I would recommend this bar restaurant to all my friends and family. Great service I must say from all lisa Emma and lia.
